Girlie Manor is going good so far. I like the scale and size of the facility. In the beginning there was an underestimation of my mothers needs. There was a little less attention to knowing what it would take for mom. I got complaints to me from the owner. They said the staff was spending too much time with her. There seemed to be a lack of communication between the mangers and the staff. Some things they should have known right off the back were not known. But that has been cleared up now. Other than that everything is going good here.

i asked the people if the caregivers had healthcare and benefits. That is one of the reason why I thought another community would be better. i stopped by during lunchtime and the director was busy in the dining room. I toured with a different representative and I got to see some really good qualities of the community. She was pleasant throughout the tour.

This community seemed fairly well taken care of. There did not seem to be a lot happening when we visited. This community is far away from places. They only have two staff members on site twenty four hours a day.

It has only been 2 months, my Mom seems happy with the care received. She will occasionally have to remind them of when her meds are due because the staff are busy. This is not a problem for my Mom because she does not have memory problem sat this time but could be a problem for others. The facility tries to be very accommodating and clean.
