A Place for Mom found McLaughlin Place for me within minutes, and I could not be happier. This turned out to be a great place for my mom. The facility is very well staffed and clean. The staff is very friendly and there is wide variety of daily activities, including occasional concerts and outings. My mom is now becoming part of a community, something she hasn't experienced in years.

My husband is in the Memory Care unit. It is always well staffed and the staff are attentive and quick to respond to requests. They interact with the residents in meaningful exchanges--not just custodial. Also, I appreciate that the Executive Director can frequently be seen walking around the facility and talking to staff and residents.

There are daily activities, housecleaning once a week. My dad thinks the food is good. There’s not as much medical care as I expected, like a dressing after a fall takes awhile to locate. They check on dad throughout the day, reminding him of mealtime and activities starting. Outside area is nice.

The place was freshly remodeled and had a really nice updated feel to it [name removed] was our contact there who showed us around and made my mom feel really welcome. unfortunately, because of the location, it was far for most of my family and when he said it to go in another direction besides that I would say it would’ve been a choice for myself personally.

The Mansion is a fantastic assisted living facility. Unfortunately, my brother is not eligible to live there because he has a stage 3 wound. If he is ever able to move to an assisted living facility we would definitely consider this one.

I was looking for a facility that I could take my wife to for a short stay for respite care. I was impressed with facilities setup and security for the residents. The respite room was accessible for a handicap person with plenty of room. [removed name] was very helpful. With my wife's situation we decided to bring her home as we are 100+ miles away.
