Merrill Gardens

I chose it for myself, primarily because it fits all my needs, living space, yard and meals. I feel very comfortable living here. I get along with and respect the management and all staff that work at Truewood by Merrill in Modesto.

[name removed] and staff were very welcoming and informative. Exceptional facility. My mother is moving in today. Very excited. She was at [removed]next door here in Port Charlotte Florida. So happy to start a new journey here at Truewood.

On our first ( and only) tour of the brand new units, the Villas were very cleaned, well designed and had a feel of comfort. We have been here for about 3 months now and feel at home. The general manager and the property manager, both answered all of our questions. We signed up to move after just our first visit. If we need anything repaired it is handled quickly. The restaurant food is and we appreciate the daily selection. The restaurant staff is always very accommodating and attentive to our needs. We feel blessed to have found these Villas as we were needing to downsize. The move and adjustment to life at Turners Rock has been smooth.

What we like the most about the community is that the staff are kind and attentive. The community is clean and organized and the staff have been helpful and supportive supportive as my mom is there in independent living.

I have been at Truewood for six years, and I have found it to be a comfortable, convenient, and safe place to live. The staff is warm and friendly. They concentrate on serving the Truewood residents and making their living experience a good one. They provide interesting and healthy daily programming for independent seniors that is available but not mandatory, respecting the privacy of the residents. Truewood is an “all-inclusive experience” with food, lodging, and housekeeping provided. The attractive apartments are suited to senior requirements. I feel grateful and fortunate to live at Truewood.

Staff is friendly and responds quickly. Monthly Town Hall meetings allow all the residents a chance to ask questions and make suggestions. The vivacious activity director is phenomenal. It is not possible to participate in every activity because there are so many. The activities are interesting, fun, and varied. Several common areas are available with tvs, comfortable seating, and a fireplace. The theater is comfortable and includes a very large tv. Monday afternoon Happy Hour in the bistro with entertainers is always well attended. The nurses are visible throughout the day, checking in with residents and getting to know all the residents. Caregivers check in daily and respond to apartments within 15 minutes of requests. The maintenance staff is friendly and efficient, responding to requests on the same day. Housekeeping is done on the same day each week. The dining room serves made-to-order breakfast 7-10:30 and lunch/dinner 11:30-7. The on-site chef creates two main entries daily, but a menu of salads, sandwiches, burgers, etc., is also available. The apartments are roomy and lovely, with high ceilings and large windows. The bathrooms are large and attractive. The kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator and stove and many cabinets. The entire, recently renovated property is beautiful and welcoming.

What I like the most about the community is the cleanliness, the friendliness, the meals and dining and the activities. Yes, I would recommend Merrill Gardens at Greenville to other families.

My dad moved into The Pines six months ago. The nurses and staff are friendly and courteous. They treat him with respect. They joke and laugh with him. They have taken special care to learn his particular needs. (He has a disability.) My siblings and I feel very comfortable with him being there, and my dad says he feels safe and comfortable there, too.

I couldn't be happier with the care my mother has received at Truewood Memory Care. The staff is warm, welcoming and truly goes above and beyond. The facility is always clean and I can tell they take pride in providing a comfortable environment for all residents.

My mom has been a resident at the Pines for about 15 months now. Everyone is very friendly and approachable when I have any concerns or questions. The facility is very warm and clean. My mom is a little quiet but she has adjusted well and has made some friends. The nursing staff is very good to her and she seems to enjoy most of her meals. The activities program is wonderful and she loves the music!! Overall, we are very pleased with the care my mom is given & would highly recommend the Pines.

I recently was on a tour of the facility and I can’t say enough about the warmth and depth of caring of all the staff members. From the administrator to the caregivers to the housekeeping staff - each resident is treated with care and as a beloved family member. There is a commitment to excellence throughout the facility, and there is an attention to detail and a constant level of engagement and awareness of how each resident is doing on that particular day. I work in healthcare and I have probably toured over 100 different facilities and this is by far one of the best facilities that I have seen.

I am completely satisfied with the lifestyle Merrill Gardens Tukwila offers my sister. She is flourishing, enjoying all the amenities and activities at the facility. The staff are personable, friendly and caring. The facility is always clean and I tell my friends it’s like my sister lives at a 5 star hotel. I’m happy she and family chose Merrill Gardens Tukwila for her home. I love visiting her there and often join her for a tasty meal in their awesome dining room.

Whenever I have a question or request everyone is beyond helpful. I am so appreciative of the kindness and caring of [removed names] and all the staff. It is not always easy being patient with seniors. But patience is always practiced by all the staff here at Merrill Gardens in Willow Glen!,

Pines of New Market shines love and light on all the residents through excellent care, professional staff, and quality activities. They go above and beyond to provide the best atmosphere for friends and family as well! I have had the honor of serenading all the residents with guitar music every month this year and am always impressed with the cleanliness of the dining area. As soon as you walk in, you can see residents lounging comfortably by a fire place and it always smells like fresh coffee! The caregivers are very nice and attentive to all the residents and the entire place is decorated for the holiday season. I LOVE that I get to visit them and wish every community has this level of care standards. Thank you to the entire Pines of New Market team for all you do for the residents!!

Being the youngest of a large family, I have what I'd say is "too much experience" with assisted living facilities. Thank goodness for The Pines. It's not a "facility"; it's the next best thing to "home." It tries to give a loved one's later years real worth--day by day. In doing so, it gives families as much peace as is possible. Here are a few ways: a caring, patient staff, a number of whom have worked at The Pines for years; a priority given to figuring out individual needs and addressing the inevitable situations that arise; serving delicious homemade food; an effort to create a bright and cheerful environment; reasonable cost in comparison to other area residences; well-chosen and frequent activities and celebrations. The people at The Pines definitely do their best to be "home" fo our loved one.

Mission Ridge is a beautiful facility and more importantly has a first class staff that genuinely cares about not only the residents but the family members as well. I would highly recommend everyone to put it high on your priority list to check it out!

I recently visited The Pines of Newmarket. This is a beautifully looked after place. The staff is incredibly friendly, and is genuinely happy to be there. The director, [name removed] cares about the residents and staff like I’ve never seen. He lights up the room with infectious laughter and joy. The staff are laughing along with the residents and their coworkers. The nurses are buzzing around and interacting with the folks who live here. They know everyone and what makes them happiest. Residents have smiles and you can hear the chatter when you walk in. It gives the vibe that the people who live there own it and are really being catered too. They host fun activities and events. They had a holiday party. The residents all got gifts that they were pleased with, and an Elvis impersonator was very entertaining! This is a place that I would feel at ease knowing my loved ones get to enjoy their days there. It simply and wonderfully feels like home.

The Pines provides a warm and caring environment and the staff was very interactive with the residents. The residents were friendly, chatting with each other and they showed concern for each other as well. The staff appeared to know each of the residents and were engaging with them in a variety of ways. We really enjoyed our visit.
