The nursing staff was caring and compassionate when I needed it. The nurses and caregivers were attentive to me. Daughter is a pharmacist my daughter of any changes in my mood, vitals. She had many conversations with nurses about my responses to meds. Lots of interaction between her, the nurses, and the doctor. Husband ease in memory care. Staff kept me updated on him.

I have been very pleased with The Carriages of Decatur. The property is clean and well maintained, and the staff are always nice, helpful, and available any time day or night. Overall, it’s been a very positive experience.

The facility is clean & beautiful. The staff are amazing, loving & caring. They are so great with mom & she is happy where she is and that’s all I ever wanted for her! I would recommend this place to anyone.

When my mom was admitted a few months ago, she was so depressed and would hardly engage in conversation with all her kids. She had lost weight but it didn't take long to gain some back after she moved in to the Carriages. She loves the food. My brothers and I love the communication from the nurses. All the staff are friendly and caring. The activities are fun. We just couldn't be more pleased.

Great facility the residence are always friendly and kind. The food is amazing! I love the cleanliness of the facility, friendly staff. The staff greets you with a smile and friendly conversation. There activities are awesome. The rooms are neat, cleaned and spacious.

The staff is so welcoming n very hands on with the residents. Very well mannered and very much respect . They always have something going on with the residents . Paint their nails and keep them full of joy . The building very clean very good smell . You most definitely will love the visit and the experience they have going on there .

I toured this community for my parent and it's lovely. The building is newer, clean and welcoming. The staff are friendly and I can tell that they truly care about the residents. Each employee said hello as I was touring. The residents looked very well taken care of and they all had smiles on their faces. If you haven't, go check The Carriages of Decatur out!!

[name removed] gave us a tour and we were very impressed with her knowledge and pride in showing off a facility she can be proud to be a part of… I think she said. She was very compassionate and we witnessed other staff, too and they didn’t know we were watching. This was by far the best place we’ve seen.

I toured with a staff member who came in on a Saturday morning which I really appreciated. She was knowledgeable about dementia and seemed to understand what I was talking about with my mom. The place seemed clean and the staff greeted us as we walked through. I think we will be happy there.

The staff is awesome. Her room and the facilities are nice. She is very happy there. The hamburgers are atrocious. The absolute worst hamburger I've ever eaten in my life. The biggest problem is that the food is often cold. Squishy cold fries, food not even warm. Also, the meals should vary more. Same things every week. Also, other residents told me they hated the food.

Staff is so very helpful and friendly. Nice clean facility. Highly recommend. We were very anxious about putting our father in memory care but the staff were so caring and have made the transition so smooth. We knew this was the place when we took our tour of the facility.

I’ve never done anything like this before. I didn’t know what questions to ask but the staff giving the tour was very helpful. It smelled so good and decorated for Halloween so nice. I couldn’t believe how big the rooms were. Definitely recommend this place.

Smells great, wonderful staff and super activities!! Everyone smiles as you walk through. The building is beautiful and very homey! I will for sure keep the carriages in mind when I am ready to place my mother.

What we like the most about the community is the cleanliness, friendliness, the care services, administration, meals and dining, activities and the value for cost.

What I liked most about this facility is that is secured 24/7. All apartments have been remodeled. several floor plans to choose from. Very clean. Carpet is changed every time someone moves out. Highly recommended!!!

This is one of the finest facilities I’ve seen. All the apartments have been remodel they are beautiful. All new flooring throughout the building. Dining room is very pretty food is fantastic. The staff is fantastic.
