I would recommend Meadowbrook at Chetek to others, however it is not full Assisted Living. It's for those who want to simplify and may need some light help and ease of living. The move in process was smooth and all of the staff is helpful and friendly. The food is good, too. The facility is very clean everywhere, at all times.

Meadowbrook has done a wonderful job with the people I serve. The staff are kind, competent and accommodating. I am grateful for the services they provide.

It started by my wife not getting any meals for days because the staff never said anything about how the person should go get or have staff bring food, they don't hardly check on people. The staff 8s on there phones more than working then I got accused of abusing my wife, the staff would not say by who. The worse was when a nurse walked in her room and the first words were I smell alcohol i'm calling police. The nurse said I was abusing her I was sitting with her on her bed, she told police that she had a restraining order which there never was and said I was sleeping there at night everything she said was a lie. And I get told I cant see her. That nurse should be fired and they should be sued and arrested, I should get a letter of apology by this place. The food8s usually cold when she gets it. They are rude to the residents. Not all but enough. Half ass job while cleaning the food sucks

I am Shocked at how Unprofessional the staff here is. Hearing Staff gossip in the Halls & Dining Area made me very Uncomfortable. The Foul Odor of Urine & Feces in the connecting building is profound.

This is the most aweful place I have ever been in. It is filthy. Peeling paint filthy dirty floors hallways littered with wheelchairs. It is obviously an old building that has never been updated….at least in the inside. Only saw one person who worked there the whole time we were there. Cold uninviting rooms. Not a place you would want to put your loved one. Sadly sadly disappointed. This place should be shut down.
