My parents have only been there since[ date removed], so I don't have much to compare to. We did not know they were bought by encore until they moved in. I would rate the facility with all 5's except for the category of food. I would give that a rating of 3. My parents have noticed a delay in receiving what they ordered, missing items, and cleanliness concerns during meals. Lack of basic items such as water glasses and coffee cups and silverware. I know of other residents in assisted living who were deeply concerned about drastic changes to nursing staff, meal availability and nutrition standards and maintenance issues. Several long term staff have exited with the arrival of the takeover due to benefit changes and workplace morale.

I'd tell a friend. to do research on the new company that has taken over and ask a lot of questions. Like staff to resident ratio for instance. And the other facilities that they are/were involved operating. I do know the new company that took over gave some families letters of termination and have 30 days to vacate and find another place for the their loved ones. They have also cut staff and apparently only have one Registered Nurse to hand out medications to the residents on all 3 floors. Without saying that did not settle right with many of the families. So I am going to be watching very closely as to what is going on.

Everyone is exceptionally helpful and friendly and caring. This is the best place ever!!! Any one would be blessed to be able to have their family stay at encore. I am so lucky we found it. It had everything and more.

We used "A Place for Mom" prior to moving. I was impressed that as soon as I indicated on their website that I was interested. I received a call within about 15 minutes. The referrals continued to come to my email throughout my screening process. My contract even made a couple of appointments for us to visit certain places. I would highly recommend using them if the need arises for an independent living arrangement.

Don't pay this high of price if you don't think they'll leave their room much to participate in activities or use full breadth of facility. I would recommend - food is ok for older folks but not family members. I don't eat it even though they have restaurants, open to family members. Lots to do but you have to get involved. They are also remodeling and think they are adding a new level of care next up from independence.

We have lived at Encore Village for six years. During this time both of us have needed to be in the nursing home section of this facility. The nursing home is under the same roof as the independent living area, so we could see each other without leaving the building. There is also an assisted living area at this location. We are close to a lot of stores we have bus service to take us shopping.

I can't say enough positive things about Encore Village from the moment you walk in, your greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of care. The staff go above and beyond to make residents and their family and friends feel comfortable, informed, and supported every step of the way.

I have a beautiful view of the courtyard from my apt. I have made numerous long lasting friendship. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I love the food with a variety of restaurants to choose from. There are so many activities such as cards, bingo concerts and trips to participate in. My family never has to worry about me now that I am living here.

Coming here after COVID to halls filled with friendly people , more (and varied) activities than I can fit in a day, an indoor swimming pool and gym, delicious food. (that I don't have to cook or shop for). Well Encore Village is living at its best. P.S. the staff is dedicated hard. working and they like older people!

Could not have ever had a better intro to Encore from the sale staff leaving security getting settled in. Everyone is so friendly- this is a happy place. People love living here. It is a clean facility classes and activities rein abundant. So many choice one can't do everything they would like to do. The staff is beyond caregiving. So much care and support. Ten Stars!

I moved from FL to IL in [date removed] to be with my children/grandchildren. My son made a spreadsheet of criteria which included some listed below. We spent 2 days visiting 5-6 places and Encore won hands-down. We liked the location, campus, rooms, restaurants, gym, activities.

I feel like I have a second family here at Encore Village. My friends have been supportive in good times and "not so good" times. Also, there are so many activities to keep us occupied every day. Meetings, discussion groups, games, fitness activities and, of course, the swimming pool! But the most important part of living here are the people. Both fellow residents and staff. It really is a friendly place.

My stay at Shipley Living was nice. The staff introduced themselves, the food was great, ilove BINGO. MY room was nice size and clean. Thank you Shipley Living for your care. I'm glad I heard of this place. My second time resident.

I am a resident who has lived here 6 years. I truly recommend the lifestyle here; There are so many different activities , that sometimes I don't know which to choose . We have a very full calendar. The lifestyle department is exceptional, always planning unique activities. Residents can have their own garden plot, attend creative programs in the craft room, a train club, book club, fishing , trivia, karaoke, attend various religious meetings and the choir . Bus trips to shop and outings, even ukulele lessons are offered. What fun!

I am a long time resident. I have enjoyed many activities; from paint and sip, parties, educational lectures, card games such as hand and foot, We are a very welcoming friendly community. When you meet someone in passing there is always a smile and a hello. There are beautiful grounds including koi ponds, fountains, meditation garden and a labyrinth! There is a lovely swimming pool and whirlpool to enjoy. The fitness center has individual machines to work out, and the knowledgeable staff has many different classes to attend. Also available are massage chairs, putting green, pickleball court, on site beauty salon and much more! Come check us out!

We have two fine restaurants, a full-service bar and two other venues for faster food. Menu choices are amazing, and I rarely hear a food complaint. There were 400 activities per month in 2017, when I moved in and many more have been added since then. One bi-weekly activity is called Culinary Corner, where chefs listen to and discuss residents' suggestions. We are currently engaged in our annual Silver Games, a three-week series of 29 competitions for Olympic-style medals. About half the events are sedentary, but several require you to be lively! And one of the most popular contests is fishing, since we have a large, well-stocked pond in our 'front yard.'

I am new to Encore and thought I would try to experience new adventures and meet new people. Not knowing what I was getting into I attended Laff a minute. An improve experience, something I have never done . I have had many laugh and met some wonderful new people who made me feel very welcome. I now look forward to attending every session. Encore is very welcoming to new members

Encore Village has provided me with growth opportunities-physically, mentally, spiritualty-and fun-filled living. When I first arrived I wanted to sing in the choir and play bridge I did so within weeks. I was invited to attend Laff a Minute and it continues to be one of my favorite activities. We play games including improvisations and realize how creative people can be. I attend exercise programs in the Fitness Center, including line dancing and chair Tai Chi. I enjoy group discussions and keeping up to date on world events in Great Decisions and new inventions and ideas in Current Events. We have a full time Chaplain with worship, reflection, and Bible study opportunities as well as Shabbat for our Jewish residents. I enjoy the resident run group that seeks to enhance our understanding of the Christian faith. And, fun! I enjoy dining and wining with friends in our dining rooms and Bluestone Pub and listening to live entertainment in Assembly Hall. I enjoy life at Encore.

I have lived here NINE years. I lived in BRIDGEWATER [removed] for 8 years. I have lived in BRIDGEGATE [removed] for one year. I am ONE hallway and one flight from the main atrium. I love access to the store, the coffee shop, the bar, Friendship Hall, MOSAIC, library, and so many other amenities. I am centrally situated and I am enjoying each and every minute of my life here.
