I was very impressed with this facility. The director has been very helpful, My only concern is whether they can keep my Mom from wandering away if she decides she would rather go back to her home. She is also very hard of hearing and I don't know if they are prepared for the extra effort needed to communicate with her, she can lip read when she tries,

Everyone was very friendly there. The residents came out to talk to us and give us information about all the events at the facility. There were Valentine decorations throughout the facility, and each resident had their door decorated. It was very cute and endearing.

I think the private rooms help the residents feel like they have some independence. The staff is good about trying to encourage my mom to participate in activities but respect her choice when she refuses. I'm very pleased that the activities include an occasional trip outside of the facility. I'm sure my mom particularly enjoyed the visits to the "Kitten Cafe". The Director and staff nurses are responsive to my questions. The facility does not smell like a nursing home.

Everyone at Heritage has been responsive, helpful, caring, and great to work with.

The communication has been excellent. My mother n law loves the cleaning and the fact that they change the sheets. She says when they don't like what they are having for dinner, the staff fixes them whatever they want. Hamburger or grill cheese. So far they have not complained to us.

So, I'm answering for my Mom who resides there and I think she would say five! :) We like having an emergency call bracelet, meals, laundry is done meticulously, great housekeeping, PT available on site to name a few things. Also weekly activities/trips. Yes, we would recommend Brookstone Of Mattoon South to other families.

Families should know that the Promedica facility where I stayed last year [date removed] was very comfortable. It was my home away from home for about 2 weeks.

Brookstone South in Mattoon is a very accessible property with an amazing staff and activities. My mom loves to stay active, and there are a lot of opportunities to get involved. The residents are very welcoming and embrace new members, making the move in process so much less stressful. My mom enjoys the food, and more so the company at meal time. Great find for anyone over 55 looking for independent living with a great support staff.

My dad is receiving excellent care at White Oaks. All of the staff - direct care workers to administration are all very caring and invested in all of their residents. The food is delicious- it is home cooked and the menu for the month has a lot of variety. The activity staff is so nice and encouraging. The activities are creative and fun. We are grateful to have him there getting the best of care.

Carriage Crossing employees were very friendly and accommodating even though we did not have a set time to stop by. We were impressed by how clean and organized everything looked. Not sure that my husband could handle the smallness of the apartments. He might need more supervision than is offered. I was considering going to a place like this to recover from knee surgery.

No areas of improvement, all in all pretty good. So far we are happy with it. Yes, we would recommend White Oaks Memory Care of McHenry to other families.

I recently visited Cedar Grove in hopes of finding the perfect place for a family member. The staff made sure that all my questions were thoroughly answered. The nurses and aides value each and every client in the facility and always strive to provide the best care possible. I am very excited to say that I have found the perfect place for my family member!

I have been to cedar grove numerous times and always have noticed the great staff effort, they are very friendly along with the nurses and all they do! The facility is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The kindness and patience for every resident is what stands out the most to me. Communications with families is excellent, and we always feel informed and reassured about our loved one’s care. I would highly recommend this nursing home to anyone looking for quality care and a place that truly feels like home. The nurses, aides, and administrative team are compassionate, attentive, and always willing to answer questions or help in any way they can! Choosing a nursing home is never easy, but this facility made the decision feel right from day one. It’s clear that this nursing home operates with heart. The care provided goes beyond medical needs. It’s about dignity, respect, and quality of life. we are so very deeply thankful for all they do!

If you need assisted living this would be the place to go I’ve been here multiple times to look around and it is amazing it is so clean the service is great and if you need anything there is always someone there to help

They were very helpful. However, we are not currently using this facility yet. My dad seems to have taken an amazing recovery. Should we need them later? I will reach out thanks everybody so much!!!!!!

It was an excellent place for my mom to receive respite care, the staff was nice and approachable. She would go there again if they need ever arose.

I thought it worked out fine. Everyone was very responsive and helpful. We looked at residential and home care options for my mom. After considering both, we went with the residential option. My mom now resides in Gull Creek Senior Living. I am very happy I reached out to "A Place for Mom." I would give the experience a 5.
