I live at Independence Hall, and I have many friends who have moved to Williamsburg Landing, which is owned by the same organization. Williamsburg Landing is a wonderful community—the staff are exceptional, and all of my friends who live there are well cared for and happy. I truly enjoy living at Amara Senior Living and feel fortunate to be part of such a caring and welcoming community.

My family and I were struggling to find the right community for my mom, as we are a very close and active family. We wanted a place where not only Mom would feel comfortable, but where the entire family would feel confident and reassured about the care being provided when we weren’t around. Although it was difficult to move Mom into a community, we are so happy we made that decision. Mom is even happier now—she’s active, engaged, and participating in activities. Before, she used to stay at home and do very little, and we were seeing her declining. Since moving into the community, she has become more lively and engaged, which has been wonderful to see. We are grateful we made this choice. The staff are fantastic, and the care and support provided have made a real difference for Mom and our family.

My dad currently lives at Williamsburg Landing, and I am very happy with the care he receives. He can be a picky eater, but he genuinely enjoys the food, which says a lot. While he hasn’t always been very interested in activities, I’ve been so pleased to see him participating more and more lately. That has been really encouraging for our family. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the staff and the level of care provided. Knowing he is well cared for and comfortable is truly all we could ask for.

Williamsburg Landing is a beautiful, small boutique property located right on the water. I truly enjoy sitting out back and relaxing—it’s peaceful and very calming. The nurses at Williamsburg Landing are beyond wonderful. They genuinely care, and it truly shows in the quality of care I receive each day. I also appreciate that it’s a smaller community, which makes it easy and comfortable for me to get around. I am very happy to be here and grateful for the care and atmosphere at Williamsburg Landing.

I live at Independence Hall but often visit Williamsburg Landing to spend time with friends and participate in activities with the residents there. We always have a wonderful time, and it’s especially nice to stay connected with people who previously lived at Independence Hall. The sense of community between the two buildings truly means a lot, and it’s comforting to know that friendships continue no matter where someone is living.

I’m a current resident at Independence Hall and often go across the street to visit friends at Williamsburg Landing who need a higher level of care. Many residents from Independence Hall do the same—stopping by to participate in activities and visit former neighbors and friends. Just like Independence Hall, Williamsburg Landing has an amazing team. It’s comforting to see the strong connection between the two communities and to know that residents continue to feel supported, welcomed, and cared for as their needs change.

I currently have two family members residing at Independence Hall, and I could not be happier with the choice our family made while searching for communities in the area. We initially considered another community further west, but we are so grateful that we ultimately chose Independence Hall. The activity staff is incredibly friendly and truly takes the time to listen to what the residents want to do. That level of care and attention is extremely important to me and my siblings. Knowing that our parents’ voices are heard and that they are genuinely enjoying their days gives us great peace of mind. Above all, we want our parents to be happy—and they are. They call us regularly to share stories about all the wonderful activities and experiences they enjoy each day, which means everything to us. We are truly thankful for the care, compassion, and sense of community at Independence Hall.

I’m a current resident at Independence Hall and truly enjoy living here. I love walking to the nearby drive and meeting up with friends, and within the community I know so many people that my days are always filled with activities. One of the things I appreciate most is the flexibility—here, you can be as independent as you wish, or you can simply go downstairs and find people to talk with and things to do. There’s always something going on. I highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a friendly, welcoming atmosphere with plenty of activities and opportunities to stay engaged.

Before moving to Independence Hall, I lived locally and knew the area very well. I had many friends nearby, so staying in this location was important to me. I chose Independence Hall because of its incredible location and close proximity to great restaurants, bars, shopping, and cultural centers. The staff here is truly unbelievable, and the residents are relaxed, welcoming, and not uptight at all—everyone is very friendly and easy to be around. I honestly could not have asked for a better place to call home.

I have lived at Independence Hall for a long time, and this community truly means so much to me. My mother also lived here with me, and I will always be grateful for the genuine care, compassion, and support the staff showed to both her and me during that time. Knowing she was so well cared for made all the difference. I genuinely enjoy living here. The people are fun, welcoming, and wonderful to be around, and there is always something to do. It feels like a place where you can stay active, engaged, and connected. I am very happy that we chose Independence Hall. You truly cannot beat the location or the friendliness of the team here—it really feels like home.

I currently live at Independence Hall, a senior living community for more independent residents, and we are fortunate to have Williamsburg Landing Assisted Living right across the street. Many of us, including myself, love visiting Williamsburg Landing to join in activities with their residents—from arts and crafts and karaoke to simply relaxing on the back patio overlooking the water. It’s truly special to have the opportunity to spend extra time with residents who may need a little more assistance, creating meaningful connections across both communities. I also find comfort in knowing that if an Independence Hall resident ever needs to transition to Williamsburg Landing, they move into a caring, welcoming environment while maintaining friendships with fellow Independence Hall residents. With Williamsburg Landing’s newly renovated dining room and upcoming activity room updates, we’re all excited to enjoy fun, engaging activities in these beautiful new spaces.

I lived alone for many years, doing everything from cleaning to yard work, and each year it all became just a little harder to manage. I wasn’t ready to admit that I might need something different, and the idea of looking at a 55+ community felt like admitting a stage of life I didn’t think I was in yet. A friend suggested I visit Independence Hall, telling me it felt more like a real apartment than anything “senior living,” but I’ll be honest—I walked in already convinced it wouldn’t be for me. But the moment I arrived, something shifted. I was welcomed with such genuine warmth that it caught me off guard. The staff weren’t just polite—they were happy, helpful, and truly cared. And the apartments? Spacious, comfortable, and nothing like what I had pictured in my mind. It felt… normal. Familiar. Safe. What surprised me most is how much is taken care of for me now—housekeeping, meals, and help whenever I need it. But even more meaningful is how easy it is to spend time with friends.

I moved in a couple of years ago, and honestly, I’m still shocked at how much I love it here. The staff are compassionate, caring, and—best of all—have a great sense of humor (which helps when you’re dealing with me before my morning coffee). The community is the perfect size: big enough that I can escape for some peace and quiet, but small enough that I’m not getting lost like I’m in a senior version of a shopping mall. I’ve gotten to know the other residents and the staff so well that they basically count as my extended family—minus the awkward holiday dinners. If you’re looking for a place where you won’t be lost in the shuffle (or in the hallways), this is the spot. I highly recommend it!

I was pleasantly surprised when I toured Independence Hall that after just a few days after the tour I moved in. The sales team was extremely friendly and made it very easy to get all the paperwork that was needed and offered referrals for movers and anything else I needed. This was the easiest painless move I've ever made in my life! I've already met a lot of great people who are very independent as I am and enjoy the activities that are offered. I certainly recommend this property to anyone.

I recently moved my father-in-law into Williamsburg Landing and my wife and I could not be happier with the care and love that the staff has for these residents. We learned that the director of nursing has been at this property for around 26 years and when we spoke with her you can tell that she knows her stuff. That alone made us want to move forward with moving dad in. We do like that this property is smaller and more intimate so it feels more like home than other communities that we had visited.

We went through a grueling experience trying to find the right care facility for our 90 year old mother. In the end, it turned out that her medical needs were too pressing for her to move into Williamsburg Landing. But, [name removed] in their admissions department was by far the single best person we dealt with throughout our trying process. She was incredibly professional, knowledgable, and pleasant to work with. She went above and beyond at every stage of the process, even after her facility determined that Mom was not eligible for admission, and she was an incredibly valuable resource when we were desperate for information.
