1. Unlike other communities, the food and drink options at Pennington Gardens are very diverse and tasty. 2. The holiday luncheons are festive and inviting. 3. Unlike other communities, Pennington Gardens is small enough that transportation to doctor appointments are always available. There's no competition for ride spots. 4. While the carpet on the downstairs hallways is a little dated, the apartments are very nice, and the two bedroom apartment is plenty spacious. 5. Pets are allowed, welcomed and loved by all the residents. There's a lovely outdoor park-like area to enjoy. 6. The staff are very nice and helpful. 7. The Resident Care Coordinator [name removed], is extremely knowledgeable and helpful ensuring the residents received medications at the appropriate times. 8. Dessert is served at lunch and dinner. 9. The facility has always been impeccably clean. 10. Trash (including empty boxes) is picked up from the hall immediately outside residents' doorways 7 days a week. 10. My mother in law has been to 5 assisted living communities and this one so far has been her and our favorite. [name removed] who we met with answered all of our questions and assisted with everything from hospice to the right room for mom and making sure it was tip top ready for her. PG is homey and charming inside and even smells good. They bake Otis Spunkmyer cookies for their residents every day, host fun activities, mom loves the food and the open airy high ceiling dining room. Her bathroom is spacious which was important to her being in wheelchair. All of staff have been over the top helpful, caring, resourceful and FUN! [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed]and our new hospice team from Suncrest have all made this transition 5-Star. PG does accept ALTCS patients if your loved one qualifies. We are private pay but if Mom outlives her money it’s good to know we still have a place for her that she considers home (and no other move is needed). 5-STAR experience so far!!!

All 5s. What we like the most about Valley Vista is the friendliness of the staff, they are willing to listen and correct issues and price. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Lower score for quality of care due to that is takes forever to receive response from senior staff, especially to answer availability to Medicaid beds. Understanding those are not immediate, but when the money drops below [removed]K, what happens next? Overall they are very friendly.

We had a great experience with Arbor Village from the beginning. My husband and I live out of state so we were in a situation where we depended heavily on the staff to get my father-in-law moved in and all settled. [name removed] was amazing! She went above and beyond her job to be sure we felt completely comfortable with this difficult transition. The facility is clean and the food looks great. I love the variety of activities available for the residents to participate in and the care that is available if needed. Our entire experience with Arbor Village has gone way above my expectations. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to place their loved one in assisted living.

They care about you and your loves that move into one of the rooms. The staff help me when I needed to put my mom on hospice and the staff was right there as soon as we needed anything. Staff was very good. Some got very emotional when she passed, and she was only there for a very short time.

I needed to find an assisted living community for my step-father that would allow for increased care as needed. I visited about ten area assisted living communities with a similar price range in the San Fernando Valley, and Valley Vista was by far the nicest, cleanest, brightest and prettiest place that I visited. So many were dark, dinghy and just depressing. I knew when I walked into the building that that was the place - at least aesthetically- for my step-father. But Valley Vista was more than just a great looking place. The entire staff was caring, efficient and very helpful. Everyone was professional and willing to help and answer questions. My step-father had several incidents that required additional medical care. The staff contacted me immediately, and handled the situation extremely professionally. I would highly recommend Valley Vista to anyone.

Caring staff. Good housekeeping. Sometimes communication could be better. Overall, I would recommend Westwind Memory Care to others.

I looked at many places and liked the fact that the facility was relatively new. It's a really lovely place. Lots of outdoor areas that are also very nice. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. The cost for what is offered was by far the best deal. I would recommend Valley Vista highly to anyone who cares to give their lives one the best possible care.

Arbor Village at Hillcrest is a very nice facility. My loved one is happy there. My wife and I visit her weekly. The facility was renovated, it is very clean. Cost wise, it costs less than most other surrounding facilities. The staff is very attentive for all of the resident's needs. They take pride in their duties and are very positive. The housekeeping is great. Everything is kept very clean. Communication with family members is great, we've had no problems. The meals are pretty good. My loved one states that they have a different variety. I would highly recommend Arbor Village at Hillcrest to all.

We've recently moved my beloved Momma into this residential community and they have been nothing short of EXEMPLARY! From the initial tour to the contract signing, to generous assistance in getting her settled into her well adorned and nicely appointed respite room and eventually into her permanent accommodations - the staff's warm, welcoming and genuinely caring attention in all aspects has been just remarkable! Truly... Thank you to [name removed], [name removed] and all the staff for making this difficult transition SO much more enjoyable and peaceable. Our immense gratitude!

I would say it's been a great fit for my mom and she's made friends and been active and is staying healthy. We picked this community because of the cost, female leadership, and proximity to my home.

Our family had an in person tour experience with Pennington Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care and overall we thought they did a great job with the tour experience.

We toured Arbor Village at Hillcrest during our search for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. This facility was nice. The amenities and services offered at this facility were great. We liked this facility!

The staff is so sweet and kind at Valley Vista Senior Living. They really care about the residents. [name removed], the sales person, was informative and NOT PUSHY. She gave me space and time to make my decision about moving my mom to this facility. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Wheatfields has a group of professional ladies that are the most caring, compassionate, supportive and loving people I’ve ever met. They do a stellar job. The facility is very clean, residents are happy, and the staff interacts with them daily, just like they are a part of their family. Thank you all, for everything you do for the residents.

Overall. They have helped with mom where we don't have to step in always. Mom fell last week and they called the ambulance and transferred her. She is better now. The facility is always very clean. For activity- Mom is not big on that but they do try. They are having a thanksgiving celebration next Wednesday for families.

One helpful thing that I didn't know is that if I call ahead when I'm going to pick my Dad up, they will make sure to get him ready. That has been a huge help!! I 100% would recommend Valley Vista Senior Living to others looking.

I had a great tour with Arbor Village at Hillcrest. I saw on the news recently tat they are trying to re-zone and so this facility will then just turn into regular apartment buildings. There are about 117 residents who live there so they will all have to move. After seeing that, it makes me glad that I did not choose this facility because I would have had to move my loved one out and find a new place.
