The place was really nice. A lot of people, gym, pool, nice dining, but was a little overwhelming for the person who was deciding on where to live.

There interest in their patrons stood out. Top notch concerns about each individual. Lots of entertainment and activities. I would recommend to others.

The Parkwood Independent Living/retirement community has outstanding service, leaders who know everyone by name, and will do anything for them. We have fun activities every day, especially live entertainment every week. Beautiful campus.

I am very happy here. I chose Parkwood because of the neatness to medical facilities, meals, above all the personnel.

When my husband and I moved here we were welcome very warmly by residents and staff, My husband passed away last year and I felt love and support from my friends here. I have loved living here.

As a daughter I witnessed my parents search for specific hopes , needs, and support in their decision to leave their home and start over in a more supportive and medically minded environment. They visited many locations and tested food, atmosphere, access to entertainment, shopping, and transportation. They ultimately made the choice to stay at Parkwood Independent Living some years ago. It is a decision they have never regretted. They enjoy new rich and endearing friendships, caring and thoughtful staff, the housekeeping services,, the activities and the entertainment. I have been pleased to note that they are not just a number to management and have observed many caring acts of personal and supportive oversight yet respect & encouragement for their continued independence. If only offering a safe. caring, well knitted loving community like Parkwood were so easy as the staff and management make it look! This community is a God-send to me and my parents!!!

The management here at Parkwood made our transition to senior living smooth and easy transition. Introduced us to staff and residence. They made Parkwood seem like a family. Transportation to doctors, shopping and hospital and appointments. They provide outing to ballgames, sight-seeing and amusements.

We have felt like this is home. Enjoy the management-staff and the residents.

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. They do a good job maintaining the facility. The transportation they provide for doctor's visits and trips to the grocery store is a big plus.

Parkwood could not be reached for better! My father in law has lived here for three years and so happy. The staff is wonderful and cares for its residents. The property is older but continues to update and maintains the grounds. One of my favorite things is all of the nature trees covering his apartment. This allows for much shade for its residents. If you are looking for a safe, loving, friendly place for your loved ones , this is the place!

My dad loves the facility. The good is good, the staff are wonderful. It is very quiet. All the residents are super friendly and he has made a bunch of new friends. They have several activities you can choose from everyday so you aren't just sitting in your apartment all day. I highly recommend Parkwood!!!

I toured memory care with [name removed] for my husband who has vascular dementia. I first toured another facility near by but left there in tears and continue to have nightmares about that place. I came late in the day for a tour and they were able to show me around as a walk in, which I didn’t expect. Elizabeth was very friendly and compassionate and it already felt so much better when I walked in. The memory care area was calm and quiet, the residents were having dinner when we toured and the food looked good. The apartments are very nice and the nurse was friendly and actually looked up and greeted us when we walked through.

Calder Woods in Beaumont TX had transportation from 9-3 every day for all kinds of appointments. CW took a bus to grocery stores two days a week. Business office offered stamps for sale, would weigh your packages and the front desk would give them to postman, would make copies and fax documents for residents. CW also offered laundry services for your linens each week and delivered them to your door clean.

This is a wonderful place- the next best thing to my being home. There is a real sense of sincere community here, where residents from various places and backgrounds become friends. The entire executive and service staff provide support and security to [name removed] extent.

A place for mom is a wonderful organization. They helped me find a place for my brother in the san angelo tx area. They provided and set up appointments to see 3 different retirement communities. They helped with many things i needed help with, VA, personal care with Visiting angels.

Parkwood has many amenities as the title suggests. Residents enjoy live music, crafts ice cream social, and transportation to doctors with a short distance. Parkwood has many great things which includes great staff.

Parkwood became a great choice for my mom after my dad died. She found a community of new friends and a wonderful team of professionals who were there when needed. She spent seven years at Parkwood and enjoyed the ability to engage in daily activities with her friends. She also had the freedom to decorate her apartment as she wished, so she really made it her home. [name removed] and [name removed] consistently went out of their way to ensure mom was comfortable and safe. If ever there was a concern about my mom’s health or wellbeing, they were always quick to notify me. Parkwood is a hidden gem of a community and your loved one would be happy there.

Moved our demented father six weeks ago from a higher rated (and more expensive) facility. There is an enormous positive difference in everything - especially one on one care - at The Stayton and we are both pleased and grateful.

Being able to have all care done in one community, the amenities they offer, the cleanliness and the meals are all better than I expected. Everything smelled good, the apartments are beautiful and the views are great!

We are very happy with everything here at Parkwood. I would tell a friend, we love it. I have already referred someone who will be moving in later next year.
