Regarding activities, mil did not participate in many due to things going on with her. I'm sure she will participate more in the future. She is happy there, she loves the facility and sings their praises. Everyone wears a necklace that they can press if they need help or something of any kind. This alert lets the staff know where the person is, and who they are. This can be used even for non emergency situations. Someone comes in to clean the room daily as well as to check on the persons. Everyone is friendly. Meals are in the dining room unless someone is ill. Staff check to ensure everyone has been in the dining room, if not, they go to the room and check on them, as well as ask if they need delivery of their meal. Staff comes in to collect laundry and returns it cleaned. Laundry is done by the room so nothing is mixed or lost. Facilities personnel are there for help with anything needed. All are very personable and friendly. We are very happy with this facility.

I searched many places for my husband at close by Nursing homes. There were long waits for placement which I understood. Then a Place for Mom was suggested to me. As we talked about [name removed] condition and care they suggested Assisted Living Memory Care. There was a place 10 minutes from our house. Took a tour, asked my questions and asked to place his name on the waitlist and was told they (Halcyon) West Bay Senior Living. We have a place for him now, what a wonderful surprise. Neil has been there since July 2024 and I’m at peace and Neil is doing very well. Best decision I could have made Thank you, A Place for Mom

Staff was knowledgeable and approachable well after we moved in. They spent a week before the move learning how to say my aunt's name correctly. People who had lived there for longer periods were welcoming and eager to make us welcomed Accommodations were made for my aunt's advanced age (101) and showed a willingness to do whatever possible and within state guidelines. My aunt became ill within a week of moving in and nursing stayed in touch regularly with me (I live out of state). When my aunt arrived first day, they greeted her in her room with a gift of things that showed they listened during the interview and saw her as a person. I would happily refer them to others.

Mom has lived at Halcyon for 8 months and has thoroughly enjoyed it even though she was reluctant to move at first. Each staff member knows more than her name. They can tell you what mom enjoys doing and talking about. Mom has made many friends. The staff and residents are warm and welcoming. The residence is small enough that it truly feels like home, not an institution. All of her needs are met while treating her with dignity and respect. Help arrives promptly when needed. The facility is spotless and the outdoor patio is second to none. A true gem!!

Had a great tour last week! The building was clean, people were happy and a lot of activities. We are having an assessment really hoping this will be my moms next home! A plus the food smelled delicious and looked fabulous.

Loved everything, feels like home already. We are excited to finally find the right home for my family member. Staff is happy and so were the residents.building very clean. Tour was wonderful, building was full of life, activities was going on in a few different areas. Patients were smiling and seemed to be having a good time. I will be going to a few other places, but this building is number 1 on my list. thank you to the team for being so welcoming and being so mice to my parents, it was better than we expected.

Toured Halcyon two months ago, I felt like I was at home right when I walked in the front door. Staff was laughing and smiling!! Patients were happy and a few shared with me their experiences. I have decided on this facility for my uncle for all those reasons. Excited to see him grow and enjoy in his new home.

I would like to share the tour was wonderful!!! While touring a staff member was singing with a gentleman in the hallway, it was so heartwarming and showed the culture and atmosphere the patients are receiving. I will be choosing Halcyon for mom loved one.

My experience has been positive. I would highly recommend them visiting to see if it's the right fit for their family member. At this time I would rate all of these categories as a 5, especially considering and comparing to my dad was at Greenwich Farms where he paid significantly more for less services 3 years ago.

We chose Halcyon at West Bay because of the way that they handled themselves the first time that we met them. It is a smaller facility that is more family oriented. The staff did a pheromonal job and went above and beyond to make sure that my dad was well taken care of. They made it pleasant and comfortable experience for not only my dad, but for our family as well. I would absolutely recommend them to others and already have.

I would highly recommend Halcyon at West Bay for your mom or dad. it's only ben 4 months, but a great experience so far. especially if your in situation where your loved one needs daily interaction, I would recommend for someone in that situation. they have a lot of activities, such as: movies and lots of live music. we've noticed lots of activities lately surrounding the holidays. on St. Patrick's day they had activities ranging from arts and crafts to wearing silly hats and singing songs. they have that sort of thing for other holidays as well. the Easter Bunny came in for them too. there are exercise activities and indoor golf; they really have everything there. there's a nice variety of things offered everyday, all day. Sundays are a little less structured, but that may be because the residents are mostly out with their families on that day. during the enrollment process we gave them permission to post our loved one on their community Facebook Page, which they always use. they'll frequently upload photos or videos of the residents engaging in activities or singing/listening to music. they also provided the family with a calendar that shows what activities are happening on which day, amongst other things.

We really like the hands on contact the staff members have been with all of the residents, overall the experience has been much better then expected. The community is kept very clean and the meals and activities have all been very good.

The community is very warm and inviting. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and caring. The community is always clean and bright and the food is spectacular! We would highly recommend west bay to anyone.

I was a bit apprehensive about placing my mom at a facility. It felt like I was "putting her away." Being at Halcyon is NOTHING like I would ever imagine. They treat my mom like a family member! Her care is stellar! She has so many activities and every time we speak, she tells me how happy she is. This facility is immaculate too. We are grateful!

The building was clean. The residents were well dressed and groomed. The staff was extremely engaging and there genuinely happy to care for us! Really felt like home.

My mom has been a resident of Halcyon at West Bay for 3 years. We are very happy with the care, compassion and love that the staff shows to our mom. If you are looking for a senior living community for your loved one, look no further! Halcyon at West Bay is #1!
