Great facility; warm and friendly. We are seriously considering but want to tour another facility planned for this week.

It was a smooth process regarding the initial placement of my mother. It has been a great first year! Her adjusting was not an issue. My mother is involved with different activities that are offered. This is important for her, since she is a spry 90 years old.

I was surprised by the bright friendly atmosphere and I liked the outdoor space. [Name Removed] answered all my questions.

They are all 5. Halycon has been a phenomenal for my Dad They made the transition seamless. They took care to match my Dad with a Roomate that would be compatible with him. They communicate very well

All the staff went out of their way to help us during each step of the process, they have awesome activities in the reflections unit and my mom has never been happier.

Everyone at Halcyon has gone above and beyond to make sure my husband has excellent care. [name removed], the Manager, always steps up to the plate if there are any issues that need to be addressed. Can not think of anything I would want changed. They are simply wonderful.

It was a successful tour which answered most of my questions. I hope to return if circumstances warrant.

My mom has been there 6 weeks and so far I've been incredibly impressed by all of the staff. The nurses and CNAs are so kind and respectful. And the activities directors plan a full schedule every day, but also give residents choices to just relax or rest whenever they don't feel like joining in. New residents are matched with a mentor the first few weeks who helps to introduce them to others and find their way around.

What we like the most about the community is that they are very much engaged with the residents. They have a committee for the residents to voice their concerns & ideas for improvement.

A Place for Mom gave my family peace and restored dignity to my husband. Thank you for helping me find Halcyon. We were at the end of our rope when I reached out to APFM. You were able to help me find a solution to a dire situation within 48 hours. Ten stars would barely be adequate. Thank you for helping us. Having worked here for over 40 years, I can assert that this is the best the facility has ever operated. Management is genuinely invested in our success, the food is exceptional, and there is a constant array of engaging activities. The residents are actively involved and frequently express their satisfaction. I take great pride in being part of this team.

The staff is outstanding, the place is impeccably clean, and everything is made from fresh ingredients—this is exactly what I expect! Everyone I refer is pleased and happy! Check this place out AMAZING!!!!

In regards to "A Place for Mom", [name removed] has worked out very well for [name removed]l and I. I first recommend you make a presence at the facility. You want the staff to know you are part of your loved one's care. You want to get to know them so you can have easy conversations with them about your loved one's needs or for questions about their care. I enjoy the staff, this covers all, CNA, housekeeping, activities and dining room staff. I found that the personal care of my husband was number 1. There will always be something you'd do differently but you'll find that anywhere you go. [name removed]has been the best for me and for [name removed]

Regarding activities, mil did not participate in many due to things going on with her. I'm sure she will participate more in the future. She is happy there, she loves the facility and sings their praises. Everyone wears a necklace that they can press if they need help or something of any kind. This alert lets the staff know where the person is, and who they are. This can be used even for non emergency situations. Someone comes in to clean the room daily as well as to check on the persons. Everyone is friendly. Meals are in the dining room unless someone is ill. Staff check to ensure everyone has been in the dining room, if not, they go to the room and check on them, as well as ask if they need delivery of their meal. Staff comes in to collect laundry and returns it cleaned. Laundry is done by the room so nothing is mixed or lost. Facilities personnel are there for help with anything needed. All are very personable and friendly. We are very happy with this facility.

I can’t express how much Halcyon has helped my mom. She is a totally different person. More out going and excited to be part of so many different activities and outings. Thank you to the amazing team and both executive directors for all you do

I searched many places for my husband at close by Nursing homes. There were long waits for placement which I understood. Then a Place for Mom was suggested to me. As we talked about [name removed] condition and care they suggested Assisted Living Memory Care. There was a place 10 minutes from our house. Took a tour, asked my questions and asked to place his name on the waitlist and was told they (Halcyon) West Bay Senior Living. We have a place for him now, what a wonderful surprise. Neil has been there since July 2024 and I’m at peace and Neil is doing very well. Best decision I could have made Thank you, A Place for Mom

Staff was knowledgeable and approachable well after we moved in. They spent a week before the move learning how to say my aunt's name correctly. People who had lived there for longer periods were welcoming and eager to make us welcomed Accommodations were made for my aunt's advanced age (101) and showed a willingness to do whatever possible and within state guidelines. My aunt became ill within a week of moving in and nursing stayed in touch regularly with me (I live out of state). When my aunt arrived first day, they greeted her in her room with a gift of things that showed they listened during the interview and saw her as a person. I would happily refer them to others.

Mom has lived at Halcyon for 8 months and has thoroughly enjoyed it even though she was reluctant to move at first. Each staff member knows more than her name. They can tell you what mom enjoys doing and talking about. Mom has made many friends. The staff and residents are warm and welcoming. The residence is small enough that it truly feels like home, not an institution. All of her needs are met while treating her with dignity and respect. Help arrives promptly when needed. The facility is spotless and the outdoor patio is second to none. A true gem!!

Had a great tour last week! The building was clean, people were happy and a lot of activities. We are having an assessment really hoping this will be my moms next home! A plus the food smelled delicious and looked fabulous.
