My loved one is currently a resident at Kinship Pointe Seward. Very friendly staff, nice residents(they are mostly Nebraska folk). The housekeeping is great, easy move in process (we did it in a day) then unpacked for 2. The meals are good enough and there are many options if you don't like what is served. I would recommend the facility to others. There is a waiting list to get in!

A great place for your loved one!

My loved one is currently a resident at Kinship Pointe Seward. Everything is great and she is very happy at this facility! The staff here are very helpful. They go out of their way to help whenever needed. The food is good, no complaints. If you don't like what is being served there are always other options. The move in process was easy. There was good communication with things that needed to be fixed or anything that we needed changed. They have great activities to keep the residents busy. They have weekly trips to Walmart, plus side trips at least every two weeks. I highly recommend the Independent Living side of Kinship Point Seward!

Life is great at The Atrium

The Atrium is a good place to live. The atmosphere here is open and friendly. The design of the building adds to that, hence the name- The Atrium. It's a 7 story building and there are 2 sections in between with glass elevators. All of the apartment hallways open up to the atrium. One of the comforts to us is that if we get sick we don't have to move to another facility, we can stay here and move from Independent Living to Assisted Living. I've seen that side and heard a lot about it and it's all been good things. The food in the middle of a transition, so I rated that a little lower. That's probably the biggest problem that we've had here, the menu change from the food service that the facility uses. It hasn't gone well, but they're slowly but surely improving it. The overall quality of the food is quite good, salads are good, and the soup is to die for. I don't go a meal without also having soup. The Tomato Bisque is the best! There's always dessert and a soup of the day. There are so many activities and things to stay busy (book club, bridge group etc) and outings to the casino, to the dog park with our pets, and to other local places (Louisburg Cider Mill, Men's Day out/lunch at Hooters, etc). Whatever is going on around town, there's usually a planned trip/busing available to attend the event. I feel very welcomed and appreciated here. The staff knows us by name and make it a point to be familiar with us. In the mornings, they'll watch the glass elevators and see who is coming down to dining. They know us and what we like and they have our preferences ready for us (coffee or tea made how we like it, etc). Our apartment is really nice. The building used to be a hotel, but they converted it nicely to Independent and Assisted Living. It's quiet and we don't hear noise from our neighbors. They have plenty of parking and allow pets. They decorate beautifully for holidays. It's affordable, also. Before moving here, my husband and I still had a mortgage. That said, it's still more cost effective for us to live here than it was to live at home WITH our mortgage. This community is a good mix of mostly Protestant, Catholic, and Jewish faiths and residents are open and respectful to all. We have 3 residents whom are Priests and have daily Mass. Even from our tour, the atmosphere of this facility really stuck out to us. Residents are active/interactive and open minded. I'm an extrovert and my husband is not, but it's a great fit for both of us which is really great! I have and will continue to recommend them to family and friends. I'd also like to add for others, during your search don't be afraid to negotiate cost with any place. There's always room for negotiation, especially with moving 2 residents in versus one, activity fees, and monthly specials. A filled apartment is much more profitable than a vacant one. It's a business when it comes to cost and you have to approach it as such.

Great place for Mom

My mom has lived at Teal Creek since February. I have nothing but praise for the staff. They have been very attentive to her and her needs. Example- When she wasnt eating, they discovered she would eat if it was finger foods. Mom is now served finger foods and she's eating much better. Mom is very happy, and I see her smiling a lot. Recently a kiosk has been installed for visitors checking in, personal information is now private!! A name badge is printed to wear. That's a great security feature. THANKS [name removed] for all your help and always being willing to listen.

Definitely recommend the facility

The Atrium has been a great experience so far, occasionally the staff may have a slight attitude but what they lack is made up for by the communities environment. Our loved one has a blood sugar issue and she has been really happy with the meals it is a big improvement. She is engaged a lot more and is surrounding herself with some really great people. The activities are good.

Over and above attitude

My Grandmother is happy and healthy and enjoying life at Kinship Pointe McCook. I understand it had other names before, Brookdate, but the staff have been wonderful and she eats so well! she loves the activities, she isnt into BINGO, as she cant see that well, but they have so much else to offer. Quilting seems to be a big love as she just visits nowadays with the others. we checked other places and glad we chose Kinship Pointe McCook. I would encourage others to do so as well.

Extremely satisfied

We chose Kinship Pointe because my neighbors father was in another facility we looked into and then moved to this one and they had a great experience. We went to tour and they were having a buffet so we were able to try the food. The quality of the food when she goes to the dining room she says is really good, they are chef prepared meals. The staff here are absolutely wonderful and treat her well. They always listen to any questions or concerns that we have. I would recommend to others looking.
