What we like the most about the community is the friendliness. They are bringing in a new food service company in February.

From the very beginning of my father's stay at Middleton, the staff was friendly, kind and genuinely attentive to his needs. They showed incredible patience and treated him with dignity and respect providing truly superb care. During the final week of his life when hospice care became necessary, the staff went above and beyond for both my father and our family. They bent over backwards to ensure comfort and are incredibly sympathetic, supportive and compassionate during an extremely difficult time. Highly recommend!

Good size room and close. The staff was very nice and supportive. Several activities and games and also a prayer chapel. Beauty Salon and outdoor patio.. Food was average.

Apple Blossom has been a blessing for my parents and myself. Great activities, atmosphere, maintenance, to name a few things. My parents are enjoying their senior years beyond my expectations. Fantastic staff in a safe environment.

As a resident of Middleton for 1 1/2 years. I can report on life here in all four seasons. They all have brought contentment. There are move activities than I could possibly take advantage of. Its an independent resident I attend exercise classes mainly. Getting to know residents in assisted living the main residential building has been a joy to me. We have a wide source of people. They come here with many backgrounds and experience. It learn so much from each one. Mostly I learn courage, stamina and contentment. Since I prepare my own food. I can't comment on the food. The kitchen staff has always be agreeable to my occasional requests. ie: bananas, orange or maybe a cup of soup. The seasonal celebratory banquets are lavish and very well attended by family members. The grounds of Middleton are lovely and well attended. I walked the perimeter regularly enjoying a stream greens, expanses and trees each season. I also appreciate the care with which staff decorates for holiday- uplifting and festive. My cottage is a real source of joy to me. I feel at home I have every convenience. My bird feeder are full and I can garden as I like. I am grateful to Middleton.

New my family and I can enjoy a higher quality of life knowing my physical, mental and spiritual needs will be pampered new and long into the future.

My mom lived at Middleton for 4 years and we had a great experience. She was well cared for and especially love activities and the cooking club. The nursing staff was always professional and helpful, and we are grateful for the support this community provided us.

The facility is beautiful and makes you feel almost like you're staying in a resort or nice suite hotel that is laid out on a single ground floor. If you didn't know, you could barely tell this is an assisted living facility. Everything is maintained and kept up beautifully - from soft furnishings to devices, from carpet to wallpaper - and always smells very fresh and pleasant. Housekeeping staff do an amazing job - the place is almost always spotless. Dining room is nice with lots of space and is usually a hubbub of conversation - we love that the residents all seem very welcoming and social here. The food is pretty cafeteria-standard, nothing to write home about, but the seniors here seem to appreciate the basic, no-frills menu. However, there are typically 3-4 specials offered during each meal, so the residents have a LOT of variety in their diets, and there's a Happy Hour from 4-5 each day when family members can join residents in having a drink and snacks. It's one of our favorite perks! The administrative staff is absolutely wonderful and responsive, and the monthly rent/fees is one of the most reasonable in the area ($[removed]a month for standard assisted living, no special needs). Paid services can gradually be added in a la carte, which is also awesome, and the rates for those are also not unreasonable. There have been occasional miscommunications with nursing staff and aides - for instance, shower assistance might be requested for a specific time, but the aide might show up an hour later when the resident is no longer available. Or calling the family because the resident can't be found...but that's because we've checked him out per protocol from the main reception desk - which the nursing staff can't see unless they walk all the way up to the entrance multiple times per hour to check. This is a great opportunity for the facility to provide nurses and aides with tablets or some other technical devices to assist with up-to-minute live updates on the residents. Activities/meals are clearly communicated weekly with calendars distributed to each resident, a TV with the offerings and other upcoming events in the lobby, and announcements. The activities are enriching, and there are frequent resident meetings for residents to suggest additional field trips and activities, menu changes, and provide overall suggestions for improvements.

From the moment I got here I have been comfortable about how wonderful everyone is. I have felt safe and cared for. It is decision I have not regretted at any time.

My sister and I toured the Apple Blossom facility with [name removed]n Monday, Dec. 1. [name removed] did an excellent job of explaining the facility, the financial structure, etc. The facility is laid out and has many amenities. I like the choice of cottages for independent living with optional meal plan. Again, thanks to [name removed]for her time and knowledge.

The Red Cedar Lodge facility is relatively new and beautiful. The common areas are thoughtfully, decorated and spacious. The apartments are spacious as well and well laid out. Our contact person, [name removed], was extremely gracious, professional, and informative. Additionally, she was very generous in the time she spent with us touring the facility and introducing us around. Observation of the other staff members showed them to be pleasant, interactive, and interested in providing an excellent resident experience. This includes the nurse practitioner who covers the facility as well as the heads of OT, PT, and speech therapy. We're currently in process LSU record of presenting this to our 98-year-old perspective resident. We greatly appreciate what the Red Cedar Lodge has to offer.

The staff were wonderful and caring. The facility is pleasant with a "homey" feel. I would highly recommend.

We are very happy with the staff. They have been so kind and patient. They have daily activities that keep mom active and social. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. Mom's apartment is well layed out and comfortable. Middleton has many activities that the families can take part in. For example, 4th of July celebration and Thanksgiving meal. They also have activities like a pig roast, Oktoberfest, and trick or treat that includes the community as well.

After visiting other facilities The Ganzhorn did not have the same feeling of a nursing home/memory care place like the others. Felt comfortable and homelike. Have felt very comfortable having my mom there. It is definitely worth the cost with as caring as they are for my mom's needs and health.

Mom wasn't there long enough to enjoy much activities, although what I saw looked great 5 as well, lastly. A 4 as this facility is fairly expensive compared to other facilities She fell so in love with Red Cedar her first thoughts were to sell the house and go native to the Red Cedar!

Cherry blossom is a beautiful facility from the moment you first walk through the doors. Everyone there was extremely friendly and helpful while my sister was there. They have all kinds of activities, something for everyone. The staff was very attentive to my sister's needs.

Mom went in and literally blossomed with the excellent care, staff and facility. Thank you!

Both of my parents lived at Middleton from the time we walked through the door we felt we had found their home. The staff and residents are the heart and soul of this beautiful facility. We feel blessed to have had a place like Middleton for their final years.

I see compassionate care to the residents on a regular basis. I am so glad my loved one could afford to reside there. They also have uplifting activities. Movies, crafts, birthday celebrations, chair exercises.

The staff is very nice and kind and friendly. The atmosphere is great. My Aunt likes the food. It's always very clean when I visit.
