Wonderful place if you enjoy interacting with people.
We do a lot of activities that are planned by the residents and not the staff. Bible studies, tailgating for the Buckeyes, Bingo and potluck dinners. If you don’t want to participate, that’s ok too. No one wlll criticize you. The only negative I see is a lack of consistency in maintenance and upkeep of the property. That needs a lot of improvement.

Hi Alan, Thank you for your review! It’s wonderful to hear that you and the other residents are actively involved in planning activities like Bible studies and potluck dinners. The sense of community is truly important, and it’s great to know that these activities are bringing everyone together. We also appreciate your feedback regarding maintenance, and we would like to connect with you directly to learn more. Please call our community and ask to speak with our Executive Director so we can better understand your experience. Thank you!

Highly recommend
We chose Spring Leaf Place because of the location and the type of apartment, it is not assisted living just independent. They also had a ground floor option available. My mom is in a 1 bedroom and it is perfect for her needs. They do offer 2-3 bedrooms as well and offer garages. They do have a rec room with workout equipment and and Wii. They also have movie nights in here and a library. It is a very close knit community and they all look out for each other. It has been really wonderful for my mom and it has changed her for the better. I would highly recommend them to others looking.

Perfect fit for my parents
My parents have a 2 bdrm 2 bath apartment with a small balcony here and they love it. When we went on the tour there was no pressure and they were very accommodating. It is resident driven community, they really look out for each other. They are making friends and enjoying the activities they have to offer. The grounds are nicely landscaped. The maintenance is great and helpful the only downfall is the water pressure is very poor. I would recommend this community to families.

Spring Leaf is conveniently located next to Danbury (an assisted living facility). As a truly independent living facility, it met our expectations. All apartments include a one-car garage in the monthly rent. Utilities are not included in rent--but the rent is very reasonable. Two very nice gathering rooms but very small workout space (one treadmill, one recumbent bike and one rack of weights). Residents can eat meals at Danbury for an additional cost. Staff were very accommodating.

A Place for Mom has scored Spring Leaf Place 8.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
