Highly disappointing experience
She hates it there so it hasn't worked out. They keep raising the rates, the food is pretty bad, and they nickel and dime her for each service e.g. putting her sheets on her bed, bringing her meal to her room, etc. particularly since they charge so much.
Approx 1/3 of the occupants have left due to huge price increases in the past couple years. the economy is a problem but they're really taking advantage of elderly people.

Best decision I ever made
When I reached the point of looking for an assisted living place, I shopped around and checked out a number of places. None of the others held a candle to Story Point Chesterfield. The level of activities and services provided were far better than any other location I toured. The incredibly friendly and enthusiastic staff made me feel very welcome and comfortable from the very beginning. I’m so impressed with the quality of opportunities afforded me here! I have all the freedom I want as well as many distractions, outings and events available to suit everyone. I have a hard time keeping up with all the various offerings of ways to spend my time! It’s no wonder that they have won so many awards for excellence and even national recognition. I have made so many friends here and keep myself so busy that my kids don’t worry about me anymore, especially since our families get invited to many of our parties and events. I’m so grateful that I found Story Point Chesterfield for my home!

Found happiness
My sister & I helped our mother choose the facility. We are very pleased with it. I live in VT so I don't get out there often but between my mother & my sister who lives nearby we know that we picked the right place for her. The residents seem kind.
The front desk staff is always so attentive, friendly & helpful. My mom loves the food & likes having options. She goes to exercise classes & participates in activities. I can honestly say she has not been this happy in years! She has community, friendships & a purpose. Thank you Story Point!

Incredible Director
I would give Story Point Chesterfield 5 stars based solely on executive director [name removed]. She’s been amazing. [name removed] is responsive to the needs of my parents and has been extremely accommodating. The caregiving side of Story Point hasn’t been as easy to deal with but I do have to say that the issues we’ve raised have been dealt with in reasonable manner. Overall, I would highly recommend Story Point Chesterfield.

A very friendly environment. Staff and residents look out for each other.
Dinners take longer to be served than normal at times, but food quality is delicious.
I haven't checked out other apartments. Mom is in a 1 bedroom, full kitchen. Waste disposal & Laundry rooms are on each section. Guest bathrooms in halls too.

I would live here
Overall, we've been very happy with the experience with Storypoint. When we were getting ready to move my mother-in-law into a facility, we looked at about eight different ones. This one was head and shoulders better than all the rest. They are a little more expensive, but the place is clean, pleasant, and they take good care of her. I guess you get what you pay for. I highly recommend it.

Great experience
My dad was there for 3 months in a furnished respite apartment. He moved out [date removed]
Our experience was very good there. The staff were friendly, food was good, assistance was good. My dad didn't participate in social activities except when one of the residents had sing-a-longs at the piano.
I know the Exec Director and head of the nursing staff have changed since we were there.

Review for StoryPoint Chesterfield
The staff turnover at StoryPoint was ridiculous. The woman who supervised the caregivers was not competent. She promised to solve problems, big and small, but did not follow through. At times it took 3 follow up phone calls to get issues resolved. For that reason I wouldn't recommend the StoryPoint in Chesterfield. I worked in Mental Health for 22 years and I can honestly say that there is room for a lot of improvement there.

StoryPoint Chesterfield Review
I looked at many places and I knew this was the right one when I walked in. Her studio apartment was larger and nicer and more reasonable price than any others I visited.
My mom is still independent at this point. When she starts needs more help, everything that she needs is an extra added on and expensive. We will have to see how it goes when that time comes.

I visited this place a few months ago for my uncle who needs to downsize. The place was clean and the front desk person was sweet. The rooms were spacious and had great lighting.
The food didn’t look appetizing, it look like they took it out of a frozen container. For the price of living there you would think their food would be great. The only thing that is included in the rent is the dinner and for [fee removed] a month they can definitely do better.

My cousin was only there for 8 days before she went to hospital hospice and passed away
Pricey for eight days but that was bad turn of events and minimum contract times.
It was a great experience and the whole staff is welcoming, concerned and professional!

Everything was wonderful. I know for my mom she really enjoyed the outings and I would of liked if there were more available.

My life partner [name removed] and I have been residents at SP Chesterfield since it opened over 5 years ago, The move was major life decision and for us the correct one. All the mgt and staff are wonderful and have the residents best interest and safety as a priority. Happy hour is always a big event good entertainment and cocktails 2 waffles Wed fills the bistro with a great bake and comparable with residents and staff. A word must be said about dinner again great staff, The young teen servers are a joy to me! it must be pointed out that the meal are always good. Some better than others. Mostly because of personal taste what she always says at the forum "I'm glad I don't have to look anymore - on that subject, I feel the monthly forum is extremely important" & the staff do an outstanding job of giving us updated information and answering questions. I do feel that corp should make visits so perhaps attending a forum. One important note -Storypoint Chesterfield
