Great experience
My inlaw was placed here after a fall. Our over all experience was a good one nice spacious room. The staff was very caring you must be present in any setting. The food was very good we ate with our family member a couple times a week and it was very good lot of variety. They do well with the laundry but you should label things. Over all it was a nice clean place with activities too our person didn't want to go but they did try.
About the facility Church of Christ Assisted Living
Church of Christ Assisted Living is located in Macomb County - on the north side of the Detroit tri-county area. Our 14-acre campus is in Clinton Township off I-94, halfway between I-696 and M-59. We offer ALL INCLUSIVE PRICING which includes 3 homemade meals daily, weekly laundry and housekeeping, medication administration, assistance with all activities of daily living including showers, assistance in the bathroom, dressing/grooming, and an emergency alert pendent. We also offer social, recreational, and spiritual activities. Medical care is available on-site. We have a secured 'Memory Care' as well. Just a short walk away on our campus is a highly rated Rehab and Nursing Center - Church of Christ Care Center. Since 2002, Church of Christ Assisted Living has been meeting the special needs of the aging with special care.

Church of Christ was the cheapest of all the communities we visited but the rooms are very small and the assisted living area felt like more if a nursing home.

great meals
I've eaten many meals with my friend who lives in this community. the food is always been delicious, looks good when it is served. the staff is very accommodating when you have special requests ,over all a nice place. They have many things for them to do there is alot going on.

They talked a good game
We did not have a good experience with Church of Christ. They were very understaffed but said that they had it covered when then did not. Their aids were not properly trained to use hoigher lifts. They never encouraged mom to get up and do any of the activities even though they claimed that was how they operated there. They had a doctor come in to see my loved one and he ordered x rays blood draws and some meds. They detected pneumonia and it took [dates removed] to get the medications in, so there are communication issues. They use their own pharmacy here. I would not recommend them to others.

I would consider alternatives like paid home care at the moment
We were really happy with this facility at first, but since we are not able to visit it has gone downhill. The community has not been good with communication. The staff members here are making an effort, but if you cannot go visit your family member I would recommend to not put them in a facility.

A great fit for my mom
We chose Church Assisted Living because of the services offered as well as cost. The room sizes here are pretty big compared to some others that we saw. I tried the food once and it seemed good to me. The best part about this community was the staff members, they formed a personal connection with my mom and they really cared for her. I would recommend this facility.

Very clean with nice set up. More than originally quoted but I understand that it might be different upon assessment.Also for the price it didn’t include any furniture, cable or phone which would mean an additional expense. There are no outings as started in their brochures. The memory floor seemed to be more outdated than the first floor of assisted living. I’m not fond of the different floors . I would rather have one floor different wings.
On a positive note . It was very organized, friendly and clean. We are still keeping it open as an option but 5250. Plus furniture, cabinets for the bathroom, cable and and phone , it may be out of the budget.

Location Is Perfect For Us
The primary reason why I chose this place for my dad was due to the location it is less than a mile from my house .
He had a rough first week there getting settled and adjusting to his new surrondings but he is doing much better now. He likes his unit very spacious and comfortable.
He is starting to join acitiviets and make friends and overall socialize.
The food is good he is enjoying it no complaintes.
The staff is very friendly and helpful and keeps me informed if they notice anything or if they have any concerns.

My father's care
This is a nice place for my father. The staff are caring and always are attentive to his needs. the variety of the menu is good and healthy for him. They do try and get him to participate in activiites with the other residents and he is working on meeting others .This community offers great care and a good value for others

Looking For No Stairs
On my tour I just felt like this was not a good fit. It seemed like a nice place and the representative was professional and did a nice job. I was looking for a community with everything on one level. I would recommend this to my friend if it fits their needs.
