Belmont Village Sunnyvale
Belmont Village Sunnyvale has been the best community our loved one has been in. He had a severe stroke many years ago and the physical therapy they offer has been great for us which was so important. They have something called Circle of Friends where they let the residents get together outside of their rooms - which is important - to engage in conversation with one another. The food is excellent and they even offer our loved one a glass of wine at night. His room is also kept very clean but the aids.

Tour experience
I felt that the actual tour experience was kind of lousy. There were a lot of things that needed to be done that were not done, they needed some major renovations. It just felt run down. They had a very high base price which they explained was due to having a higher level of nursing care on site which we did not need.
I did really like that they offered a program called "Circle of Friends" for early dementia residents. It is a program where residents who have early stages do not have to move to memory care and will do activities together but can still participate in normal activities as well with the assisted living population. I thought that was ideal and it would be great if more places could do that.

Totally recommend it
This community is close in location for us and it is just beautiful. Their outside area is fabulous, it is big with a nice garden area and a gazebo, it is just wonderful. It is expensive but at the end of the day our loved one is getting wonderful care so it is worth it. The meals and dining service is excellent, our loved one is happy with the food and the variety. They have a lot of activities going on throughout the day, at least two or more different things. They have calendars in the elevator and hallways that shows what they have going on.

Great Intermediary Memory Care
We've had an excellent experience. The staff is very accommodating. And their Circle of Friends program is great for someone with early stage memory issues but not yet ready for full memory care.

My tour review
This community was number 3 on our list. What we needed was that my loved one liked to take walks outdoors so we wanted a community that would allow for my loved one to be outside and enjoy himself. This location had that but it did not work out in the end for us.

Great Organization and Facility
I did a comprehensive search for a place for my elderly (90) mom who had advanced dementia. I toured over 10 facilities and by far Belmont Villages was the best one I found. The Sunnyvale location was better suited for my mom's needs, but San Jose was also a very nice facility. I focused on memory care, and Belmont had a great specialized area for such patients with specialized care personnel and programs.
My mom declined rapidly and passed before she transitioned into Belmont, but their actions are a testament to their philosophy and management. I put a deposit down and was going through the process of getting the necessary paperwork completed by Hospice before my mom could transition. When I notified Andrea at Belmont of my mom passing, they waived the deposit even though they had help her space for 3 weeks. They then sent a beautiful flower arrangement to the home. I would highly recommend this facility.

Life saving!
We enjoy the grounds it is beautiful there, we can hangout in the back courtyard. It has just been really hard with covid, but they have done a great job and everyone there has been vaccinated. They were very accommodating, our loved one had a hard time adjusting at first but they really helped him out. We would not know what to do without them.

A Wonderful And Caring Place
This is a great place and I'm pleased with it. The staff is the most important thing. They are kind, and caring. They were there to assist my loved one with accumulating to the community.
The communication with the staff has been really good.
It is beautiful campus and a interior courtyard area.

No complaints!!
I had recently taken a tour of this community for my self and I have no complaints of how things had went. The staff where on time to my appointment and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. I liked the open floor plan they had as well as other activities they had available to all of the residents. It was just not the right location in the end decision for myself but I would recommend it to anyone.

I am happy with the care that is received here. The staff is kind and very attentive to his needs. We like that the community is clean and maintained. He seems to like the menu and the variety. They offer him to particiapte in the activities that are offered and we have found that to be good for him to participate from time to time. We would recommend the care and value of this community for a loved one for care

I would live here
My friend is adjusting well to living at this community. The staff have been patient and helpful. They use the dining room as a game room and they offer daily activities. The food looks good and she seems to like it. They offer fresh fruit daily. I would recommend this well taken care of community.

Cost to live her is very expensive!!
Probably the most positive thing I had seen at this community was the memory care unit and all of the great classes and activities that are available to help them throughout the day. I just did not need the level of care that they had at there facility for my grandmother. It just was not the right fit for her and was very expensive on top of that.

Very far from home. Closer to Church. Did not like set meal times. Unorganized upon check in. Given misinformation on who I was meeting with. Seemed under staffed. Didn't like med mgt. location. Residents not happy. Parking troublesome. [removed] Plus too far for health care. Doctors were beyond the 10 mile limit. Deal breaker.

To answer your questions, our community is licensed to the highest level of care and we staff accordingly to meet resident needs. Our staff participates in ongoing, specialized training at the community every month supported by our corporate training team. We offer restaurant-style dining for two hours at each meal and residents have the flexibility to dine within that time. Snacks and beverages are also available in our bistro throughout the day. In a recent satisfaction survey, 95% of our residents said that Belmont Village Sunnyvale is a good place to live and 92% would recommend us to others. There are also several nearby medical facilities located within 5 miles including three Palo Alto healthcare facilities.

Happy With This Community
Everything is going very well for my mother. I really like this facility and everybody is very nice and kind. They do a good job with keeping everything nice and clean. The staff is very helpful and attentive. She is trying a few activities like bingo, and sing a longs. The food is decent. Overall everything is working out very well.
