Trustwell Living Review
It was awful. They were very friendly and everyone said let them know if I needed anything. To ring my bell. After a month or so things started tighten up. Had trouble with my scooter so had to use wheelchair. I can't wheel myself and aides said they weren't allowed to. So missed meals. Sometimes my pain level so high, asked for meals delivered. They will if your sick but didn't consider pain as sick. Nit picky stuff. Then was told to only ring bell for absolute emergency. Not when you just need assistance. So I did not have same definition of assisted living that they had. They tacked on so many charges that I couldn't pay the rent. Housekeeping was minimal. Food was excellent. Always short staffed. Minimal activities. Transport vehicles couldn't load my motor chair so had no transportation. I left my 4th month.

Night care givers are not attentive. Residents are afraid to use their call buttons because their rent goes up. The food is terrible except for one of the cooks. Complaints to the management gets swept under the rug. Once my moms VA funding comes through, I will be moving her

Review
My father just passed. He was there for a short period of time, and we were so glad to have chosen Kingswood. The staff was friendly and “on top of things.” He needed almost 24 hour care, and they provided as much attention as possible. He required a hoyer, and the staff were the most experienced out of all places to handle the equipment. If there was ever a problem, I was contacted immediately. I’m grateful for their patience, since he was extremely difficult.
A big thanks to [name removed]! Without her, my dad wouldn’t have had a decent experience. Assisted living isn’t something he wanted, but it was absolutely necessary considering his condition.
I highly recommend them.

Very happy
I want to support the place. [name removed] the recruiter is excellent to work with and has options.
They're in process of hiring full-time nurse. Current techs are great but need more help. Food is good. Chef works with each individual trying to meet their needs. They are hiring a new activities person. In the meantime, other staff handling games and stuff. They're doing a great job and trying to fill needed vacancies.
Overall a great place to live.

Very Happy with Kingswood Place
Our experience with Kingswood Place was great. The staff is kind and caring. Everyone in the community is friendly. They provide meals and activities to keep the residents social. The staff have been receptive to the family's suggestions in finding the what works best for our loved one's needs. Overall, we would recommend the community to others for their loved ones.

Well-run facility - Great staff!
The staff is friendly and professional. They are helpful and kind. They seem committed to doing the best they can all the time. They offer a sense of welcome and family when I'm there. I've never experienced any staff member seeming upset or stressed out, which is very important for the residents. [name removed] is a very good director who stays in communication and is good at problem solving. We are looking forward to having a new head nurse at the facility.

our families experience
Even with Kindswood Place being an older facility the staff has done a great job keeping it clean and well maintained. [name removed] who our friend first dealt with then reviewing the assisted living side and going over the move in process was very easy to communicate with. [name removed] who is the front desk lady was always very very helpful and always smiling. [name removed] who is in the upper management was always such a pleasure to work with. Overall it was a really good experience .

Scary
The place was a dump. The food was horrible. The nurse didn't even come around after 2-3 days of my friend arriving there. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Would Not Recommend
I would not put my mom back there. Having to fight to get money back that they back-charged mom after they raised her price 2 months later. The care is horrific.
Just put people in rooms and wait for them to die is the feeling I got. Mom kept getting UTI because they were not changing her. So they wanted to put mom back on hospice - so hospice went out to evaluate her. They (hospice) called me to tell me this info and to let me know mom had Covid. I was never told that mom had Covid. She was diagnosed on a Monday and I accidentally found out on Wednesday afternoon. Funny thing is is that I am moms health care power of attorney. Never had option to give mom early treatment or to refuse early treatment. Took 2 days and several calls just to get a update on how she was. Place is a joke

Small, Secure, Clean Environment
They lost my loved ones laundry. They seem to be going through a change. The staffing and management seems to be changing. Food was really good at first, that has declined a little bit. The enrollment and intake person is awesome. My loved one really likes the caregivers.

I'm Very Happy
My Mom has been at Kingswood for three months now. It was a very difficult situation with her move, coming from the community where I actually worked to Kingswood. My Mom needed a secure building, which we didn't have, and my first thought was to call [name removed] at Kingswood. She, [name removed], [name removed] and all of the caregivers have been so kind to my Mom. They are right there if I have any questions or if my Mom needs anything. If you are looking for a smaller, homey assisted living where ALL staff jump in to help, you should call Kingswood.

Good Place for Mom
I would recommend the community to others. My loved one is happy here. The community has lost some housekeepers. Overall it is a really nice place.
My loved one seems to enjoy the food. Some of the activities available are bingo, cornhole, happy hour, and more are available for the residents to choose from. There is a lot of activities offered. The best thing about the community is my loved one is having their dog with them.
