Outside of one incident, overall the experience at story point has been good. They are working with us financially, [name removed]is an amazing manager who truly cares for my dad's well being and the staff seem very friendly. My dad did need help in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. He moved rooms because of mold renovations taking pace in his old room so I didn't have a key yet to his new room. I left a message with a different manager, and never got a return call. Also never got a call informing me EMS had to come help him that night and a few days later he ended up in VA hospital.

Would recommend
There are lots of activities and outings to keep residents busy if they choose. They do have town hall meetings to get residents' input on activities and food and to give updates on things happening at the facility. The monthly calendar that every resident gets for their room is nice along with the weekly updates.

Mom's experience
The staff have been very welcoming in helping my mother in law transition to the facility. Many of the residents reach out to her to join activities to become more acclimated. A variety of activities are offered every month, so there is something for everyone. There are plenty of dining options every day. My mother in law has been very pleased with the food.

Good place to be!
I moved in Stoty Place about 3months ago. I was able to keep my much loved Golden Retriever with me. She has been a joy with residents. She loves seeing them ‘mand getting many pets and scratches. This place is an active community. People watch after each other without being noisy. The food continues to improve with our new chef. Staff is friendly, easy to talk to and get help.. Good place to be! Very good value for the money. Glad I’m here.

Just a nice friendly place to live
Cleanliness is good, staff are wonderful (!!!), food is good with equally good service, internet is a lifesaver, activities suck. Don't know what can be done about that, I know everything costs money.
I really appreciated a fairly recent movie the other night and would probably attend more.
I would recommend this place enthusiastically to anyone asking, definitely. We have an interesting population as well, not surprisingly for an upscale place. Having my pet means so much.

Wonderful place
Staff is very helpful and friendly.
One bedroom apartment is approximately 500 ft.². The best thing about it is it has two single door closets plus 1 three door closet.

Our experience with StoryPoint Louisville East
We like them a lot. Good caring staff, nice well-maintained facility, nice residents, reasonable costs, pretty good food, good activities. We have had solid overall care for Mom.
We've had a few challenges, naturally, but nothing major. One definite downside is that they have just one elevator. Overall, we've had very good experiences and Mom is happy there.

Personal experience
StoryPoint Louisville East was recommended to us as an active and supportive senior apartment community for my 69-year-old brother, who is somewhat disabled following a stroke. We recently moved him into a ground-floor studio apartment, whose rent includes utilities, internet, cable TV, and three cooked meals per day. He is extremely pleased with not only his apartment, but also the cable TV lineup, the "excellent food", the other residents of the community that he has met, and the friendly, capable staff. Staff worked hard to get his apartment renovations completed as quickly as possible, and have been very responsive to our various requests. We are also pleased with the variety of activities offered and services available to community residents.

staffing issues
Due to frequent staff changes, the food and food service quality varies greatly day by day. They have had ongoing maintenance/elevator issues that have taken a lot longer than they probably should have.
They were bought out last spring and they have had multiple manager changes since then. They have had a hard time keeping staff in the food service and cleaning. And when I say elevator issue, they had been having issues, had the elevator rebuilt basically in November with ongoing issues until some final Parts came in last week. And they only have one elevator in the building.

This place is decent
Clean, nice facility.
Staff is friendly.
Residents are friendly.
Food is only so, so. We were told a new chef had been hired. The food is not chef quality. The menu will say ‘baked spaghetti’ but they will serve a pie of spaghetti with some sauce on top and a sprinkle of orange and yellow cheese.
Yesterday, the vegetables at lunch were just all the vegetables from earlier in the week mixed together. They need to do better.

Going the extra mile

Needs improvement
The food does not meet standards for well balanced meals. The chef is using recipes she's never tried before and they seem to run out of food frequently. Even basics like coffee.
They are replacing the elevator and there's no way to get residents from the 2nd and 3rd floor out without carrying them in some fashion or calling the fire department. Meals are being delivered and what they ordered from the provided menu are not being delivered. I called and left a message for the GM or AGM and still have not received a call back yet.
I cannot recommend this place yet.
