I would tell anyone that asks, Brookdale is an excellent facility to care for your loved ones.
Actually I would give a 5 on all counts. I was especially impressed with the cleanliness and the kind interaction from the entire staff they gave my mom.

A kind and caring place for your loved ones.
I’ve only been at Brookdale for a week, but I can compare it to three other nursing homes I have been at in the past year and this by far exceeds any expectations and even more than that! The staff here is kind and always cheery! The food here is as good as any restaurant, if not better!! It is kept clean and bright looking, and I have no complaints so far!
I would recommend this to anyone!

Highly recommend
The staff at Brookdale was great with my dad- who was very difficult.
Some other memory care places- such as wellspring- are very compact and crowded. Brookdale was not. Brookdale was perfect for my dad because there was a lot of space to walk around and it was fairly quiet. 1 improvement- it was very problematic having to set up our own cable tv. Some other facilities include cable.

Downhill Experience
It started out pretty good, then after I chose a different Hospice than they recommended, things went down hill. Most of the aides were friendly and took good care of [name removed]. The admin staff were friendly at first. Then their attitude changed and they wouldn't even acknowledge me.

A caring place for your loved ones
What we really like about Brookdale Saginaw is the staff, they are awesome! I kept telling them that they are all Angels. The meals, the activities, the community and keeping things clean are other things we like. Based on our experience so far we would recommend Brookdale Saginaw to other families looking for a place for their loved ones.

A great experience
Everything was great with Brookdale Saginaw. They could not have been more helpful during the whole transition period. They were very friendly and understanding. She was in memory care and it looked to me like they really tried to engage residents both socially and activities wise. For example they sent a picture of her working in the garden. Not being isolated is very important for dementia residents. From a care standpoint they were really on their game. I would absolutely recommend this facility to others.

What I Was Looking For with Caring Staff
I am very satisfied with the community. The community is clean, has a home feeling, and a friendly environment. The staff communication with the family is very personable about our loved one and they are responsive to our questions.
There are three meals a day served to the residents. Some of the care the community provides includes dressing, assistance medication management and hygiene care.

Best place for your parents if you cant have them at home
I would highly recommend this community. The staff there are well trained and caring. They follow up well they are just really dedicated people. We love it here at this community. My loved one is not able to participate in the activities but they always have things going on for the residents. Tomorrow is a spa day and they will do nails and massages and more. They have activities like memory games, craft projects, happy hour and more there is just always something going on. I cant speak highly enough of them and it just feels like home they are so caring and concerned about her I know that she is taken care of.

Terrible manager
The manager at this Saginaw location is terrible. She put her finger in my face and yelled at me. She is condescending and has anger issues. There has been a lot of staff turnover since she started. The dementia house needs updating. Care staff is very friendly and wonderful.

I feel at home here
The staff here is really nice and they do a really good job in making sure they interact engage my Mother in various activities. They have great communication and if anything happens they call me immediately. For activities, they have things like games, singing, watching TV, and parties. I would recommend this facility to other families.

Best foot forward
The staff does a good job of putting their best foot forward. They usually have about 3 staff members per 20 residents. The building is very clean and attractive looking. The rooms are appropriately sized and spacious. The staff cleans often as well as doing the laundry. They serve 3 meals a day and serve desserts/snacks. If my mom needs food in the middle of the day they are able to get her more food. For activities, they offer exercise classes. I was lead to believe they would be doing memory care and have different groups come in to entertain but I have seen very little and not as much as I thought there would be. They also said that they would take my mom on field trips but from what I’m aware that hasn’t happened in the 2 months she’s been there.

We are happy with the care here in this nice community. The staff is caring and make sure that she is getting the attention and cattle that she needs. Outstanding in every way
A very nice facility - great food, nice spots for TV and visitors...not too big...However, the best part about the place is the people who work there...wonderful, caring employees that my dad took to right away...and lots of experience - each of the key staff members has at least ten years there - I've learned that's pretty rare in that industry... There's a lot of apprehension and at least a little bit of guilt in all of us when we make that decision for our parents, but the Brookdale staff was tremendous from the minute me and my sister walked into the place for our initial visit, and they continuously keep us posted...Another important thing: They have a very active and engaging schedule for the "tenants" so they're challenged mentally, physically (to their limitations, of course), and socially. I love my dad more than anything in the world, and I am so happy he is now part of Brookdale...

The care at this community is outstanding. The community is nice and clean. I like knowing that she is happy with the nice meals and she likes helping with the staff on cooking.
