Caring, loving environment
Everything seems to rate a 10. With the exception of house cleaning. My sister notices when my mom's recliner is up there's stuff under it and around. As for myself when I've called about issues I haven't gotten a call back or I have to call again to have the director call me back. My specific issues are things like my mom's hearing aids and her bottom dentures have gotten lost. My mom can't get up. She can't go to the bathroom so I think housekeeping has to be careful when they change her sheets when they change her that those things don't get caught up in the laundry. Her hearing aids were located, but her bottom dentures are still lost, she's having difficult time eating certain foods. Also, her supplies. My mom's nurse called me to mention my mom's supplies have dwindled a lot. My Mom’s roommates Grandaughter told me she believes they are using her grandmothers pull-ups on my mother. She purchases her grandmothers pull-ups, our supply is through hospice. My mother gets a ton of supplies so her nurse was surprised that my mom supplies were dwindled. The other day, my sister was there and noticed in the trash, the roommates pull-ups were in the trash (they have pink and lavender flowers on them. My mom's are just plain white) so they have used her roommates supplies on my mom. My mom's roommates been in the hospital for the past few weeks. I can't say enough about the staff. They are so good with my mother. They're very nice. When I was there and we were looking for the hearing aids together. They did take it serious and they look several times. Overall, the cost and the care were very happy with La Posada. These are just things we've been noticing.

Small Intimate facility.
All 5 stars for sure. The executive administrator ]name removed] wasn't a very good people person. And you need to be for that job. She had hard lines drawn and wouldn't budge. But she left after a month that my dad was there. All the care givers were wonderful. I went there almost every day so I got to know them. Very clean and good food. It's a small facility which I liked. I didn't want my Dad to feel lost in there. I'd recommend LaPosada!

Great Place for loved one
It is always clean. They are always taking care of my loved one and making sure they are fine. My loved one likes the food. They have activites daily, and my loved one participates. They are really good with the activites The value for money is great. It's not as expensive compared to other places. It's a smaller community. We picked this community because, the caregivers speak spanish, which was a plus. In addition, they take better care of the residents because it's a smaller community, and they provide one on one care.

Good, But Not Great
Overall it is a nice place. The people here are friendly. It is a very clean community. The staff changes a lot. I don't believe they have enough help community wide to assist the residents. There are times it takes awhile for the staff to respond to the call buttons after the residents push them. The food is good, but it arrives cold. There are three meals served a day to the residents. There is supposed to be a menu for the residents to choose from, and there are times my loved one requests to have a specific menu item removed from the plate, the item will still end up on the plate when it is delivered to my loved one. I have tried to talk to management about the concerns I have and there has been no follow through on the requests.

Wonderful and caring staff
We like the smaller scale of this community, and the just absolutely love the sales representative she is fantastic. Anytime something happens with our loved one no matter how big or smaller and no matter the time of day the staff will always give us a call right away and we really appreciate that communication. Right now with covid the activities are somewhat limited but what they do have going on is great. The staff do a great job staying on top of everything covid relation and all the regulations. They are great about keeping families up to day. The meals and dining service is always fantastic.

value for the money is great
La Posada is quite a nice community, our loved one was on the memory care side and the staff were just fantastic. Everyone we encountered were just fabulous and very attentive to our loved one. They were so kind, and even with her being on hospice and them knowing she was not going to be there for very long, they still went out of there way to get to know here. The staff had great communication with the families. Now it is a huge challenge to have a loved one in a community during covid. Nothing works and things are not easy. Sometimes things got confusing when it came to visiting hours which brought on some frustration. The management and staff did not have the best communication at times.

Love La Posada!
We have had our mother at Posada now for [date removed] s and I must say everything has been astounding. The care staff, the owners, the admin team, the chefs, housekeepers all bring so much love to the residents and it shows. There is no where like it that we toured and couldn't be happier. Go Posada!

Our experience with La Posada
We have not had the best experience, it seems like it is one thing after the other happening. My loved one has had to quarantine quite a bit since she has been here due to other residents testing positive. One of the reasons why I wanted her to move was so that she could socialize, but that is not happening. They had to relocate her into another room while they were doing some remodeling and they have still not moved her back into her initial room. The support staff are great. The administrative staff were very courteous in the beginning, but now it is hard to reach anyone with questions or concerns we are having.

We're happy we found them. It's a great place for our family member.
It's a great place. We really like it. It's a small place and feels like a family. If you have any problems, they will address them and help you. They have remodeled the whole place, and it looks very nice. I got to meet the owners at a breakfast, and they're open to listen to any issues you might have. Our loved one is at the minimum lowest level of care, and I feel like we're getting we're paying for. I do think there could be more activities though.

Best senior living place I had been to! Facility is clean, well lit and decor is superb. Staff are friendly, courteous and attentive. Residents seem happy with this place. Lots of parking space. They are with you every step of the way and super easy to work with. It is family operated too which adds a great level of comfort to my family and I.

A Place for Mom has scored La Posada Assisted Living and Memory Care 8.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
