My Experience with: Holiday Meadows
The activities are offered however I am not a regular participant but there are activities offered here which is a great gesture.
Staff: I find the staff to be very accommodating.
The dining staff is also accommodating.

Holiday Montara Meadows experience
Staff is helping & friendly. My stay was only 3 Months but met my needs for the time I was there. I don't know any other older people that would be interested but to answer your question yes I would recommend this community to other families.

Excellent care and interaction with the residents.
The residents have activities during the week, have bingo, art class,etc
Have a nice library, Gym. Hair dresser comes on Saturday and Sunday to the facility.

Best IL in town
Excelent services, well maintain community clean and great food. Staff members have fun when at work never sad faces always welcoming People they know there residents by name. My mom move from a different facility where she was just a number at Montara she is part of the family she even host Coffee club twice a week. 100% recommended

Montara Meadows does not disappoint.

Review for Holiday Montara Meadows
[name removed] was wonderful, only person I've met in 20 yrs. who knows how to be good to people along with [name removed]. Somewhere in this god forsaken world there were 2 people that still had a loving heart. The rest of the world could learn from them. Besides that about the same as any other rest home. If for what ever reason they should leave i will be gone. Happy at montara meadows reasonable price , good staff, good location.

Greatest community
Today I did a tour in the Community for my Mom, [name removed] was such a great person. She answered all of our questions and concerns. The community was recently renovated and it looked so welcoming. My mom enjoyed the tour. All the staff was welcoming and the place was overall fantastic. Hopefully we can call this place home one day.

Review for Holiday Montara Meadows
The place is really nice. It gives a great feel when you walk in. With the new renovations that were done was ok. Not sure why they kept the old floors and never finished painting the other walls. Plus, they kept the old furniture. Nothing really matched. To many different patterns. They should have just left it alone at that point.
There was never a funky smell or bad order like some of the other places we visited.
Staff was super friendly and accommodating.
There are a lot of amenities. Pool, jacuzzi, exercise room, library, chapel/theater room and big hall to have events.
The room we got was brand new. Very nicely done.
This biggest issue was and as I was told about places like this was always the quality of the food. Some of the dishes were not even edible. Residence constantly complaining. I understand it can't be a home run every time but feeding frozen food and food that some residents should not be eating because of diabetes or high blood pressure is just not right.
And for the price that you're paying, it's just not worth it.
This was the dealbreaker.
So my mother and many other residents have decided to move out.
As much as I love the idea that my mother can get three meals a day. She rather just cook them to herself. Because the qualities just not there. It's just disgusting. She won't eat that.

Residents and their loved ones commend the staff's kindness and the overall family-like atmosphere. Visiting the facility in person is crucial to get a feel for the environment and the residents was a great experience overall.

Is excellent, what I have noticed though is that there is sometimes litter outside ... and as we are not there frequently, I don't know how often that is picked up... again, the cleanliness inside individual units, common areas, etc. is excellent
