About the facility
The Bridge at Paradise Valley

Thanking everyone in time of need.
In general all staff and workers were very friendly and helpful for my sister's care. They all helped me when she left this world on [date removed]. I appreciate any and everything they did constantly for her even when she got cranking at times, but she was liked by everyone even then. Again my thanks to all the staff for all the given help.

Overall My Experience Here Has Been Excellent
On my 1st day, I was given an explanation of what to expect from the staff in general and an overall tour of the facility. I received a booklet explaining areas of importance in detail and who I should contact in care of special needs. I received a monthly calendar that showed all available activities and what location they would occur. All staff were friendly. All staff were approachable.

I am very happy that my Mom is staying at the Bridge at Paradise Valley and she is very happy that she is there. Noise really bothers her and she is so glad that things are so quiet and peaceful. I have been able to visit Mom on many occations and have found that everyone from the servers in the cafeteria to the ones who clean the rooms and the front office staff are very friendly and cheerful. They make you feel very welcome. They are also very professional. When issues come up they are able to find and implement a solution in a very timely manner. I highly recommend the Bridge at Paradise Valley as a wonderful place to stay.

Visiting my mom at the bridge at paradise valley
[name removed] and the staff are such a godsend at this community. I was greated with love from every staff. The kitchen staff were amazing, professional and courteous. They really do care about the residents and they even remember a lot of their meal requests. I highly recommend this place to everyone who has to transition to an independent or assisted living. It’s very clean and well maintained. I left there with such peace knowing my mother is being well looked after and taken care of. Thank you for all you do!!

Do not reccomend
They will do what you can to get you there. If you need help you have to wait an excessive amount of time to get help. The food is sub par, and they are always out of things. If you have special dietary needs, they are not very accommodating in meeting those needs. To a senior who does not have much to do the meals are something that they look forward to. When you try to address a situation the staff denies the facts, and then you will be treated terribly. This would not be my choice of facility that I would place my family members.

Friendly staff
Overall, very friendly. Maintenance requests take longer than expected. Staff try's to accommodate as needed. Cleaning of individual rooms needs more attention. The food was decent when we first moved him in, but they had a large change in personnel. Not sure how it has progressed.

Tour experience
We toured with The Bridge at Paradise Valley. They had us wait 20 minutes when we arrived at the appointed time The meet and greet person at front desk barely acknowledged us. The lady who talked to us was not very warm. Friendly but not warm . The room was not user friendly. Very few people there. First impression. Nope.

A very good fit
It was a good experience working with the staff here at The Bridge at Paradise Valley. I like the facility - as we were going through the process and even today, it has been a great fit. I have nothing bad at all to say about the staff, they have all been wonderful. She has a deluxe suite that is close to the dining room and it is on the first floor and easy to get to. The nurses office is also right down the hall which is nice in case she ever needs anything. We were very pleased with the placement of the room. I would absolutely recommend this facility to others looking.

Initially the Bridge at Paradise Valley was our first choice. The staff here were really great - but they were limited on their care. They did not take my dad because they felt that they would not be able to take care of his needs - in particular his diabetic care needs.

They Do The Best They Can, With What They Have
The community is currently having issues with the Executive Director and Corporate are trying to find a new Director and fixing issues. The staff that I have meet with are very responsive, and caring towards my loved one. The front desk is manned until around 5-6 pm, and this is where you go to ask for assistance. The community was serving soybean burgers instead of hamburgers and the corporate office is trying to work getting these issues fixed, along with others. The community tries to keep the residents engaged in activities. They are receptive to residents feedback.

Would Not Recommend
The management is disconnected from what is happening with the staff. The facility is severely understaffed. There is no process if a staff member were to call in. For the dining menu- it is not designed for seniors. Most are diabetic or hypertensive. The menu should have more fresh options, low salt options, less processed foods. Fried foods covered in gravy are not healthy choices. They do encourage social interaction. They do have plenty of entertainment

A Good Place; However, Visit Your Loved One Frequently
This is a good experience overall. However, if your loved one has a lot of care needs the community may not be able to meet them all. It would have been nice to know more about the demographic of the residents when we posed this question to the community during the tour. There are three meals a day served to the residents along with snacks that are available. The residents also have choices to choose from. The community is able to provide hygiene care, housekeeping, changing of linens, and medication management for our loved one. The community took a bit time to organize the medications for our loved one, and this was a concern for the family at first.

A Good Place for Mom
As long as you understand where your loved one is cognitively. This is a great assisted living and independent living. The staff provided good care, the community was just understaffed. The staff communication with the family was okay, it was sometimes hard to get ahold of them because of them being understaffed. There are three meals a day served to the residents and they have choices to choose from.

We had a wonderful tour experince with The Bridge at Paradise Valley. The facility was very nice, clean, and the staff could not have been more helpful. We went around Easter and they had the facility beautifully decorated. All of the residents that we saw during the tour seemed to be very happy.

Tips for evaluating your community options

Safety is a primary concern when seniors and their families look for Assisted Living. To ensure that a community meets your needs and expectations, we recommend that seniors and family members:

  • Tour the location: Touring allows you to speak to current residents and staff, and helps you confirm the accuracy of the community description and photos. Use our touring checklist to help guide your visit.

  • Confirm the availability of required services: Before you commit, make sure that the community offers all the services your senior needs, and that those services can be provided within your budget.

  • Know the Nevada regulations for Assisted Living: Each state has its own laws and inspections processes to ensure seniors reside in a safe environment. Depending on your state, you may even be able to look up inspection reports for the community(ies) you’re considering. Learn more about Nevada regulations for Assisted Living.

A Place for Mom has scored The Bridge at Paradise Valley 8.6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
