Wonderful Community
It was very quick and simple getting everything done and getting my dad moved in, we had the tour and were able to get my dads background and credit checked and all the forms signed all the paperwork all on the same day. The biggest problem I have had, is almost a month after my dad moved in, they had a new person start, her name is [name removed], and she started calling to tell me that they never ran my dads credit and they would need me as a guarantor and I just found that so unprofessional, especially since all of that was taken care of the day we signed the contract. [name removed] has been FANTASTIC and was such a huge help through that process. My dad has been so happy in this new community and I'm so thankful we were able to find him a place he could afford and it be this nice and clean and friendly staff.

Amazing facility with the sweetest staff ever
Grassland Independent Living is a wonderful community! The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and truly cares about the residents. The environment is clean, welcoming, and feels like home. The residents always seem happy and engaged, and there’s a real sense of family throughout the building. We’re grateful to have such a caring partner in the community who goes above and beyond for the seniors they serve. Highly recommend!

I left grasslands for oxford
Hire back [name removed] and [name removed] Main and I'll come back. This place is awful, management and housekeeping. They don't clean anymore and kitchen door slams in the dining room. Coffee area is dirty my room wasn't vacuumed for 2 weeks.

Our family's experience
The staff has been amazing from the time we walked in for the walk through to now. They have always been accommodating and helpful, always friendly and have made my dad feel welcome and comfortable. The activities are helpful keeping my dad engaged and the meals are amazing. He was incredibly underweight for over a year and in the 2 months there he has gained 8 pounds and looks so much better.

My Mom really enjoys her new home!
So Thankful for the help of “A Place for Mom”. This has been a wonderful experience for our family and especially my Mom. The transition has been almost seamless. The staff, which are working many different jobs due to transition of management, has done an excellent job welcoming us. We have been there a month now and my Mom is already calling it home.

We had lunch and it was delicious! The apartments have balconies and lots of natural light. The staff were kind and helpful! There are plenty of activities and we know our Dad will be very happy here.

Rude Manager
When we moved my father here it was great. The last three years have been awful when it come to his rate increase the manager wasn't even nice about it told him he had to pay the full rate this time. Then while she was talking to him to walked away and came back 20 minutes later. They don't value the elderly like they used to here.

Shower head leaking
I've mentioned to management my shower has been leaking for weeks. The maintenance man showed up barely does anything to it and spends most the time on his phone and it's still leaking. When I told the manager she said"we have other important things to take care of" she's very rude doesn't care about the residents.

Both Manager is awful
One manager is unless and doesn't know what's going on. One manager is rude we come in for a tour she made us wait an hour and yelled at a staff member during the tour in front of us.
Food was alright but wasn't impressed for the price!

Review for Holiday Grasslands Estates
Facility was updated nicely recently. But the staff to constantly being let go and the few left behind are struggling to keep up with the demands. Food was ok but not worth the amount being charged. Housekeeping struggles to clean room with limited amount of time before needing to switch over to being servers. The helpful admin staff being let go for not filling rooms to capacity where the housekeepers are already struggling with.

Things to know
Full independence is a must, the food was sub par, be prepared to supplement your diet. My Dad's shower broke a week before the [date removed] and their solution was to have him use another empty unit to shower in instead of calling a real plumber to fix it. Only at my intervening did it get resolved after 1-1/2 weeks.

Holiday Grassland Estates review
I visit regularly and think it is a clean, friendly, community with great amenities but both have dental and gastric issues and find that not all meals offer things they can eat. I am not a dietician and have eaten there with no problems but perhaps a survey to all residents, addressing food issues might give the community an opportunity to express their opinion or preferences.

Affordable and Convenient
Grasslands offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with alternative options which my mother has had no complaints on since we moved her in. I am grateful to have found a community to provide all meals. She struggled making meals for herself and microwave food is not an ideal choice meal I'd want my mother to have. I love that she can dine with others and socialize during meals. She has met a very close friend who offers to car pool along. Another bonus i enjoy, is knowing she has clean bedding and fresh towels thanks to the housekeeping team.
We viewed a few different communities in the area, but there were lots of extra charges al la carte that can become quiet expensive when added in. I love that Grasslands has everything in one bill. Including all utilities.
