Mom and Dad received a lot of love from the staff. They treated our parents as family and welcomed all of us when we went to visit (5 kids, grand kids and their families, and other relatives). Parents went into Fox Trail at Thanksgiving. Mom ended up in the hospital with a heart condition and passed away. Dad ended up in the hospital a month later with a medical issue. These last few days as dad went from the hospital back to Fox Trail on hospice as his life was winding down, the staff took excellent care of him. They tended him as one of their own, kept him comfortable, fed him ice cream (he couldn't eat) and took care of his needs. They cried with us, prayed with us, and hugged us too. The small size of Fox Trail was a bonus for our parents. Dad had dementia, but Mom didn't, and they would take him for a walk in the hall at night and do activities with him if he kept Mom up, so she could sleep. All of our family was very pleased with the service our parents received while at Fox Trail. I worked in senior care for 20+ years and was very impressed with the facility and staff.

This is an amazing place, the care team are compassionate and professional. The food is phenomenal, and no smells in the halls. My mother loved her time here.

My Mother is a resident at Fox Trail in Manassas. She has been receiving EXCELLENT care. My family is very pleased and IMPRESSED by the compassion shown by ALL of the staff working with her. All of the staff (including housekeeping, chefs, activity director) work together as a team to provide wonderful care for the residents keeping their best interests in mind. I would agree this is not a typical "assisted living" facility, it's so much more! They work out individual care treatment plans for each resident. It caters to the residents that have more specialized needs in a manner that provides respect and dignity. It is completely evident that the staff truly cares for my mother and that they work where they do because they LOVE the residents. They exceeded my expectations and have lovingly met the needs of my mom. I am SO HAPPY we found them!

This is a good community. The staff is caring and attentive for my mom's needs. the community is clean and has a lot of types of care available to those needing attention. We liked knowing that they are offering activities. The menu seems to be good and I like knowing that my mom is in good care. We would recommend this community for the care and value for a loved one

We have been happy with the care at this community. My mom is getting good care and we like the staff. This is the community is clean and maintained. We liked the atmosphere when we arrive. The meals are good and they allow for families to come for certain activies. the community does offer the residents to participate. My mom likes being active which does help her. We would recommend this excellent community to other families.

A few years back I lived here and left and now I am back and I love it here. I already have family that lives here as well so I am surrounded by people that I know. The food is wonderful here taste very good and is hot. There is always something to do whether it be going to a day trip or going shopping or just doing things at the community you will never be bored. The staff is wonderful here very nice and accommodating and helpful. My dog loves it here as well we are always outside playing or taking a walk.

One year ago next month, my Mother fell in her home and broke her arm. After being taken to the hospital, she was given the diagnosis of Dementia along with her broken bone. I then knew that the time had come that she could no longer be left to live on her own. I live in an adjacent State, with a full time job and taking her out of her environment would not be an option that would lead to her well being. Fortunately, a few months prior to her fall, I had taken time off from work and traveled to Abingdon, which is close to her home town that she knows well, to start the search for a quality Assisted Living Facility. When I first arrived, at dinner time, I was met by friendly staff and noticed how content all the residents seemed. They were all laughing and talking with each other and a true sense of "Home" was felt. The Administrator approached me and was so gracious, helpful and informative. She took her time in telling me all about the facility and made me feel so welcomed. She stayed with me long after 5:00 which I so appreciated. Just a few months later, I found myself in desperate need to find a special place for my Mother to make a transition from her home t a "around the clock" assisted living quickly! The first phone call I made was to English Meadows! I am not sure that the same Administrator remembered me, but she made me feel like she did. She was so reassuring and calming. and said that she did have availability for my Mother. I was so relieved! That was 11 months ago and I am still just as impressed with English Meadows, the Administrator, her Director of Nurses, the Nursing Staff, the Dietician, the Activity Director, every aspect of the facility I give the highest of marks! I feel so content, knowing that Mother is happy, safe, well nourished and content as well. Thank you English Meadows! You have my heart! [Removed]Charlotte, NC

Attractive, clean, with good services, activity, and menu. Would definitely consider if we hadn't find an equivalent facility closer to home. Also, for my Mom, the layout might not have been optimal. In the closer facility, she would step our of her room and be immediately in contact with people. Will still give five stars, however, because for someone functioning at a slightly higher level than my mother, this would be a great community.

I was very impressed with the facility and the staff!! Seems like residents are very happy! And the staff was friendly and interacted with us in a positive way!!

At first glance at Bellaire at Devonshire I thought it was going to be way to pricey. I decided to call and set up a tour of the building. After touring the facility I was blown away. Not only do the residents receive 3 meals a day but they also receive fresh snacks in the Bistro all day long. I was greeted with a warm smile and welcoming words when I entered the building by the receptionist Jessica. I then toured the community with Drema (Executive Director), she took all anxiety away that i had about placing my mom anywhere. As we walked around we were greeted with all smiles from the staff. There Activity program is so different than other places i have visited, there is a very large variety of programs. Even though it's a very large facility it is very welcoming. I know for certain when its time to move my mom this will definitely be the place!!

This place is amazing!! The staff are very knowledgeable of their jobs. They are very loving at this facility. All the management are more than welcoming to new ideas. The Executive Director has an open door policy and she is always walking around the facility helping in any way she can. The meals are very tasty. The Activities Director makes sure there is something for everyone to enjoy, never a dull moment. The prices are wonderful for all the services you get. Overall out of the other facilities I would say Bellaire lives up to all expectations, it's beautiful and the care is amazing!!

Compared to other living facilities, this one gives the most one on one care for a reasonable fee. All of the staff are respectful, courteous and very attentive to the residents needs & welfare. The family is kept up to date on the resident's care plan & progress. They transport to all doctor's appointments at no extra charge.

It's a new facility, so they are not completely staffed or full yet. They have some holes as far as a few of the activities, but my mom seems to really like it there and it fits her really well. The only complaint she has is that she would like to have the menu a little more to her liking instead of restaurant style.

[removed] My mother-in-law went from an independent living retirement community, Elm Park Estates, to English Meadows because she needs so much care now. She has only been there a couple of weeks, but I am confident we will not be disappointed. I have never been to a facility as wonderful as this one. The building and decor are very pleasant, yes. But it is the workers that impress me most. Gentle, kind, invested in their patients. It is enough to make one just cry with thankfulness and relief! As if this was not enough, English Meadows also has this incredible business plan where they do not charge extra for every little thing like most memory care places. I've been looking for about three years for a place my mother-in-law could afford as her dementia increased, but each facility would charge for this and that until it was way beyond budget. My family is so happy knowing that Grammy is in a safe, healthy, loving home now. Check into English Meadows. You will never regret it. [removed]

So far our experience with Bellaire at Devonshire has been a very positive one! The facility is brand new, and it is well decorated and clean. They are still in the process of scaling up and hiring their full staff, but the people they have so far are great. The memory care director in particular is fantastic! She does an excellent job evaluating new residents and making sure they get the appropriate level of care. They also have a great variety of activities as well as large, spacious common areas. I haven't seen much of their assisted living portion, but I would definitely recommend them to those looking into memory care!

I cannot rate the activities because this community is new so they haven't really gotten to the activities yet. Overall this is a great assisted living community. I would recommend the Bellaire at Devonshirt to anyone who is searching for a great place.
