The facility was clean and fresh. There was a wonderful family like atmosphere. Residents were out and about and they seemed to be enjoying activities as well as enjoying each other. I would be so happy to have my family member become part of this community .

After visiting other places in the Augusta and Rockingham County areas, The Phoenix at Harrisonburg was a clear choice. It is new, well-designed, well-decorated, full of natural light, just the right size and a good value compared to others. A few other facilities we really liked require a high six figure “asset pledge” which we cannot afford. At the Phoenix, the fees are monthly, based on individual needs and easy to understand. We also “did the math” and since the fees are all inclusive, it is half the cost of keeping a home or apartment and paying for in home caregivers and domestic help. We love the staff that interacts daily with Mom…they are patient, caring and well-trained. No facility is perfect, but we feel this is the best of its type in the area.

All a 5 especially since they've gotten a new chef. The residents need more fresh fruit and vegetables. Sometimes the entrée is difficult for them to carve themselves. They like soups and stews - not ever served. The new chef has helped tremendously. Fresh fruit - especially bananas and grapes. The staff make all the difference!!

Care and compassion by the staff is extremely good. I go virtually every day to feed my wife at noon. Almost without fail, one of the staff gives me an update on how she's doing since she got up. Those reports are hinest and factual. The staff nurse is also an extremely beneficial asset. Another very important and interesting fact, the home is very involved with the community, sponsoring numerous in house community functions during the holidays. The Colonial has very little staff turn-over!!

Great facility- the staff is very loving and caring. I could not have picked a better place for my loved one.

I would recommend this facility to others. I think the price point is a little high. It's a small facility, so the call response time is quicker for care. The studio apartments are a nice size and the kitchen section is a wonderful thought. The care staff often go around and remind residents to go to activities, which is very helpful.

Please keep in mind that my mother only lives there for a month and was almost immediately put in Hospice which took over much of her daily care needs. Mom did very few of the activities because of her illness. Nothing is perfect. But they were perfect for us .

The friendliness of the staff and spectrum of clients living at The Retreat was impressive. [name removed] gave me a tour and was very informative about the facility. The facility is on a smaller scale and the atmosphere gave a homey feeling. The location provided a plus to the decision. I would recommend to others.

I am not a resident at the Bungalows, but I have a friend who is in memory care. I visit often and find that the staff are so nice and helpful. They get to know each resident’s likes and dislikes. At each meal time , there is always a member of staff available and helps each resident in whatever they need. Some residents go to the TV room after their meal and again a member is always around! I would recommend the bungalows to anyone who have a need for this type of care!

They were all friendly, always talked with me when I would call to check on my Dad. Sent texts or emails to keep me informed. My Dad did get covid while he was there but very mild and they kept me informed. [name removed[ went out of his way to help me get my Dad there. He lives close to me and came to my house to sign papers etc.

The people are wonderful and very loving. I would recommend The Bungalows at Indian Land to a friend.

My loved one is currently a resident at The Colonial at Old Camden and everything has been great for him at this facility. The cleanliness, friendliness and staff are all great. The care services, food and value for cost are great also. The housekeeping is good. The move in process went good. I would recommend The Colonial at Old Camden to family and friends.

Excellent all the above I love living here!!!! Wished I had done it sooner but wasn't built then. We still have some rooms available. Based on the experience I have had so far, if I could give The Bungalows at Indian Land community a 10 plus I would!

The Colonial did something for us that will be a lasting memory for our family. In December, they hosted an afternoon with Santa. My grandbaby got his first pictures with Santa. I love a community that gives back the area. If and when I need a place for my family I am bringing them to the colonial. SImply put, they are such a friendly community...

I came to the Colonial last week looking for a placement. I feel in love with the building. Unfortunately, we could not come to the colonial because of some factors with grandma health. [name removed], did not rush me out the door instead he helped me and gave me advice on how to search for skilled center and other ideas that we could benefit from. This place was wonderful

Aunt [name removed] seems so happy since she moved to the Colonial. The food looks good and everyone is very friendly when I come to visit her. The common areas and her room is always very clean. I would recommend this place to anyone!

The Colonial is a beautiful community located in the historic district of Camden. I have visited the community many times with events that my son was having. This is by far the most beautiful community he has been a part of. The residents are so friendly from the first meeting I had with them.

When I began looking for a community. I needed somewhere that Dad would be happy. Dad is very stubborn and hard to please. I was go glad when I found the Colonial at Old Camden. I knew from the first ten minutes that I found that right place for dad. Over the past six months Dad seems happy and loves the people at the Colonial. Thank you for making my life less hectic and making dad happy again!

My experience when visiting The Colonial once a week is very positive. The residents are always happy, and the staff is always pleasant and supportive. I’ve stayed for lunch and the entire support staff, from cafeteria workers to housekeeping, are catering to the residents needs! This is a place that I would chose for my parent!

I absolutely LOVE the Lavender Hills facility and staff! The facility is a quiet location with beautiful front blooming spring tree in the front. The staff is so helpful and kind and anything I have questions about, they are right there to explain things to me. I feel like my mom is in good hands here. I would whole-heatedly recommend Fox Trail at Orange to anybody who is looking for care for their loved ones!
