My main contact at The Woodlake was a tremendous help and support even before I was truly interested in this property. When I contacted her a 2nd time to pursue this choice she bent over backwards to assist. My daughter and I moved my sister and her husband into The Woodlake last week. And everyone, staff and residents alike were kind, friendly and interesting. We enjoyed visiting with the residents and had a hard time pulling ourselves away to return to our home. The food is very good. The interior of the building is beautiful and full of sunlight. And there are numerous activities to pique the interest of the residents. But back to the staff. They were awesome. So helpful and gracious. Cant thank them enough.

As far as my evaluation of The Laurel, she received excellent care and I would recommend their memory care facility. The staff members are well trained and they care deeply for their patients. They went above and beyond to care for [name removed]. Near the end, the staff worked in tandem with hospice care to keep [name removed] comfortable and reassure my family during a very difficult time.

It's been a few years since I had toured the community, but since my last tour I am very impressed with the new Management team and department heads of the community. Several different layouts to select from for your loved one with two beautiful courtyards residents have access to anytime. I am very impressed with the recent changes and am excited to recommend The Rawlin at Riverbend Memory Care to Family and Friends in need of senior living.

I love everything about The Laurel at Vernon Hills IL. The staff is the best. My mother had wonderful care there. I loved the first phone call with Carol. She was so efficient, caring, down to earth and accommodating. When I first met with her, my heart melted when she told me my mom would be loved there. So true. I loved that whenever I visited her, she would say how lucky she was to live there because everyone was so nice. And we have [name removed] , Executive Director, to thank for hiring only the best people. I am grateful for all of the caregivers and everything that the staff did for her up until her final moments.

The Rawlin at Riverbend Memory care provides a lot of daily activities for residents. The staff contacts family to report out-of-the-norm behavior of the resident. Staff is friendly and supportive of the residents and family is always welcome to visit. Staff appears to be well trained in working with folks who have cognitive deficits and memory issues.

I am extremely happy with Vineyard Memory Care. [Names removed] run a good place. [Name removed], the Activities Director, is fabulous. They have other staff members around to assist the residents, as well. I always appreciate what they do for my loved one. I would recommend Vineyard Memory Care to others.

I’ve been living at THE WOODLAKE for a little over three years. Time has flown! It took a little adjusting, getting used to not being on my own. I have found that I can spend as much time by myself as I want or I can be as social as I want. Everyone finds the friends they wanna hang out with. It’s like living in a very spacious house that is always clean and smells good! Not having to buy groceries is a plus. And so is having meals that are very good and nutritious that are prepared by someone else! We have a great Activities Director Who keeps us on our toes. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

The Woodlake celebrated Mother's Day early with a festive brunch on Thursday. A bounteous buffet of entrées and desserts to please everyone’s taste, served in a dining room especially decorated for the day. Great food, Good neighborly conversations. A lovely and thoughtful prelude to Mother’s Day. Chef [name removed] and the staff outdid themselves. It was indeed a most enjoyable event.

As an employee of The Woodlake, I enjoy coming to work everyday. Although the building is beautiful, what makes it special are the people. To see so many happy residants is amazing. As i write this their is a Mothers Day brunch happening. To hear the joy and laughter from my office inspires me. I am grateful to be a part of this stage of life and helping people live their best life now.

It can be very difficult to transition from living at home to assisted living. The Staff at The Woodlake were extremely helpful and understanding. They helped make our Dad's move from independent living to assisted care. The Woodlake has a family-oriented atmosphere with a real sense of community. My father was very excited about moving in after we first toured the property. He couldn't wait to meet new friends and engage in activities! It was a great experience from start to finish. We would definitely refer friends and family to this new home! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We feel very comfortable leaving our Dad in their care. :)

I moved my mother in about a month ago, and although the building and staff were very nice, I was still skeptical after terrible experiences with my dad at another community. I'm so pleased to say that she loves her new home! She is participating in activities that I never thought she would go near. Thank you, [name removed]. [names removed] moved us in and were a wonderful help. Thank you, [name removed], for your patience and kindness. The Woodlake is truly a great place to live.

My loved one was previously a resident at The Woodlake and the experience was great! The facility itself was good and the people working there/staff were also very good. Based on our experience, I would recommend The Woodlake to others.

My experience with The Woodlake has been great! We chose this facility due to the cleanliness, and positive attitude towards residents and the family. The staff are very supportive and helpful with the emotional aspect of having my mother in Memory Care.

The facility is very clean and well maintained. They have 3 meals and 2 snacks per day. Plenty of activities like Bingo, word finding games etc. They even went on the facility's bus to the pumpkin patch and to see Christmas lights. All the residents are clean and well groomed. They even take the time to put my LO in matching clothes instead of just any old thing in the closet.

I was so happy with the Laurel! Everyone who worked there was involved and communicative. My Mom was always looked out for by many people on the staff. I was so grateful for her to have spent her last few months there

If we could give them a 10 we definitely would! Sonnet Hill community is amazing! They are professional and very caring. The facility is beautiful and very comfortable . We are very pleased with this community.

Very nice facility's and very friendly people. We would recommend The Woodlake to others, They have a weekly sheet of activities for the week, nightly movies also with freshly made popcorn!

My husband is currently a resident at The Laurel at Vernon Hills and this facility is WONDERFUL! The staff is very caring and competent. They are kind and attentive to resident's needs. The facility is always clean and smells clean. The meals are nutritious. The activities are engaging and always seem to engage the residents. This is a great place for your loved ones to be safe and well cared for. It is good to realize that I made the right choice for my husband of 53 years!

When placing a loved one in a memory care center emotions are high. We all want the best for someone that is an important part of our lives. We found The Woodlake to be the right fit. Our mother was experinceing the effects of dementia. She was still somewhat independent and appreciated the enviroment the facility and staff provided. She was happy there and we felt that she was in a safe and caring enviroment. She lived there for one year before passing suddenly. Her last year was surpsingly happy and productive. When we notified that staff of her passing they cried. [name removed] immediately asked if there was anything they could do to help. [name removed] arranged a comfortable and accessible room for the memorial service. [name removed] distributed flyers to residents and was a source of tremendous support for us. We highly recommend The Woodlake for any family looking for a safe & caring environment for a loved one.

We didn't see the day shift staff very much but the night shift staff was amazing! [name removed] and [name removed] were so caring and supported us through the whole experience. I work nights and they would reach out to me to let me know how my father in law was doing. Taylor was so understanding of our situation and everyone was a great team and it showed. The place was warm and welcoming and the residents looked out for each other. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
