Juniper Communities

This really is a fine place. The staff, especially, is kind, efficient, and very human. I recommend this place highly. We picked this community, because It felt warm and welcoming. The gentleman who worked with me at A Place for Mom was also terrific.

We toured The Devon Senior Living and it was a great tour! The facility was very nice. The cleanliness and friendliness were great, definitely a 5 rating. The only downfall was the pricing, we were looking for something that was all inclusive.

They were great. When my loved one went into hospice, I was told that there would be hourly checks, and they could have been more proactive checking on my loved one. They were always responsive and available. My loved one was there a short peiod of time, so she did not participate in activites. It was reasonably priced, and afforable. My loved one had a nice room, and they were friendly.

Juniper Village is a smaller facility with only about 70 or so occupants, so everyone gets to know everyone. Very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend Juniper Village at Mount Joy to others looking.

We toured Juniper Village at Forest Hills and it was great! I loved everything about this facility. However, they didn't have Memory Care availability and that's what we were looking for.

Quality of care - I believe Mom is being very well-cared for, but I would like a little more information to be shared with me about her care without having to email/call and ask follow up questions. Meals - Mom is a VERY picky eater, and yet the most negative thing she has said was "oh, I didn't like their main dish last night so I got a hamburger." Not unhappy, not expecting they cater to her, just commenting. I consider that high praise, not to mention that sometimes she's ebullient about her delicious meal! Value for cost - Juniper is pricey. Price was not our first issue, but all the other factors were. So we agreed to the price. Juniper is SO nice that we toured there first and signed up without touring anywhere else. My internet "tours" and research had put Juniper way ahead, which is why we went there first. Mom worries about being able to afford it (family are able to fill any gaps that do occur), and she still wishes she could be independent, but she never suggests she would be better off anywhere else (even in her own home!). So my rating here is a combination of "more expensive than some nearby, albeit not as nice" places" and "I would like more insight into Mom's day to day care" (I do not live in Pittsburgh). this is the right place for my Mom!

It is a very friendly and welcoming community with caring staff. They have a variety of activities (ice cream socials, music, bingo, exercise, etc.) and they do try to encourage residents to participate in the activities.

Juniper Village is clean, nicely decorated, and welcoming. Staff are caring and interested in the residents. There are structured activities every day. Housekeeping services are great. Yes, I have recommended Juniper Village to others.

My mother was a resident for many years. The staff was vigilant with providing good care during that time. It is a warm and loving environment that offers many activities. I would highly recommend the Juniper Village Williamstown facility.

I thought Juniper Village at Williamstown was wonderful - I really liked them. Cleanliness of the facility stood out to me. The woman who met with us from administration was wonderful and very accommodating. My parents both needed care, one in assisted living and one in memory care, and Juniper Village was open to them both being together in the same apartment. The only reason we didn't pick them was because they were a little bit more of a distance from where we live. But it was high up on our list for consideration. Their pricing was a little bit cheaper too.

Making the decision to have my mom become a resident at a facility was a very difficult and stressful one. Juniper Village made it easy. From when I met with the sales director to meeting all of the staff, everyone was nice and helpful. I like the fact that at Juniper Village the assisted living building is totally separate from the memory care building. My mom is in the memory care building and I like that they are separate and have their own little home. My mom is always clean and she's always well-dressed. My mom is always taken care of nicely. The food is good. And there are lots of fun activities for her. They even have activities for the family which I've gone to a couple of times and they are very nice. A couple of times it took a while for the nurses and the director of nursing to get back to me with my questions and I did wait a while to get her 1st doctor appointment scheduled, but other than that I don't have any complaints about Juniper Village - Wellspring.

This is a wonderful community. The staff are very friendly and they are very helpful. The community is always clean when I visit. The staff communication with the family is wonderful! The meals are wonderful and there are three meals a day served. If the resident doesn't like what is being served the resident can request a deli or grilled cheese sandwich. Exercise class, religious services, history lectures, music, field trips and more are some of the activities offered to the residents.

The food has improved. They offer a lot of activities. We picked this community, because it was the nicest, bright, most up-to-date, and pleasant. Overall, I would recommend to other families.

My loved one has spent time in many different communities. Juniper @ Monroeville is hands down, the best. It is clean, free of odor. The dining is restaurant style, and the food is tasty. The wellness team is consistent and compassionate. Management is knowledgeable and prompt to respond. Placing your loved one is difficult as it is, but I would highly recommend Juniper of Monroeville.

Our loved one had a smooth transition. The care is very good, as is the facility itself.

Juniper Village seems to be a very nice place to call home if you need a helping hand, and want a homey atmosphere . I would recommend it as a good place for a loved one to be cared for in his/her later years.

My loved one and family loved our experience with The Devon. My loved one was able to fit in quickly with other residents. The staff were able to assist in reminding my loved one of different activities and meals. In addition, the staff were good at watching over my loved one and still allowing my loved one to have their own independence. My loved one was able to have their own apartment and it felt more like home living for them. The community was able to make accommodations to the room to my loved one. The residents were amazing! They made our loved one felt very welcomed quickly. The residents and staff didn't want my loved one to leave. The staff would address my loved one by their first name. This was a wonderful short stay for my loved one and we would choose The Devon again. The staff made the family and our loved one part of their family quickly and communication with the family was good.

I would give each category higher than 5 stars if I could, everything has been amazing. The friendliness of the staff is outstanding. They are very genuine and always pleasant to work with and they are patient with my loved one. I cannot say enough good about The Landing. My sister within 3 weeks made such a turn around in her life and she is doing so well. She is getting out and about and eating in the dining room, participating in activities, etc. It is so heartwarming to see. It is a wonderful place and I would highly recommend them to others looking.

We as a family were very disappointed that my sister's level of care changed. Juniper Village of Monroeville was a wonderful place.

I toured the community recently, the history of the building is really neat, the rooms were not like what I saw at other places i think because the building is so old every room seems to be different. The memory unit was really nice, the residents were engaged and doing exercise when i was there. It felt like home, the staff all said hello and introduced themselves, the residents were also friendly.
