Aweful
They have nurses and aides that have been there for years. However, those staff members are terrible. They don't answer the call light, they will leave while on the clock for hours. I have my mom there on the west side, and the veteran workers on that side is just terrible. How in the world are they still employed. They do not change my mom, but instead they will just double brief her. The veteran aides that are on that hall should be either moved on another unit to fix their laziness or terminated. Those are the laziness aides that are still employed. They will not take care of your loved one. The tenured employee should be looked into.

Nightmare
One star only because NO stars wasn't an option. In a mere five days, they took my veteran Dad from recovering pretty well after hip surgery to dying in the hospital. Due to the ridiculous review constraints, I can't give more details, but trust me, I wouldn't let them care for a pet let alone a person.

Nurses and Aides are like family to our family member. We are very blessed!
We have had a family member at Wright for almost three years. The staff is very attentive and sincerely care about him. They feel like family. I am worried recently with the amount of staff turn over. Not the nurses or aides on the floor (thank goodness, because they are the ones who interact and care for the residents), but the director/administrator, the social worker, the nurse/floor manager, the director of nursing......all gone. Suddenly it seemed. And now there are interim people in these key positions. We are noticing communication problems and are getting a little concerned. The staff has done above and beyond to provide for family member. He requires special care because of his cognitive issues and other physical issues. We are in the facility multiple times during the week and know how great the staff is. We are however, confident that the day to day care is still outstanding. Hoping they fill these key positions in leadership quickly and with amazing people.

STAFF WAS PLEASANT. LUCY S...
STAFF WAS PLEASANT. LUCY SYKES GAVE ME A TOUR OF THEIR MEMORY CARE AND HAD NO PROBLEM SHOWING ME THE KITCHEN WHEN I ASKED TO SEE IT. WRIGHT NURSING WAS CLEAN AND SMELLED GOOD. THERE DIDN'T SEEM TO BE ANY PROBLEMS WITH LACK OF CONTROL FROM THE DEMENTIA/ALZHEIMER PATIENTS. ROOMS ARE DOUBLE OCCUPENCY, SHARED BATHROOM, FREE LAUNDRY SERVICES, BEAUTY SHOP EVERY TUESDAY. GROUNDS LOOKED NICE. DAD AND GARY TOURED SAT 4 MAY 2013 AND EACH HAD GOOD IMPRESSION.

Tips for evaluating your community options

Safety is a primary concern when seniors and their families look for Nursing Home. To ensure that a community meets your needs and expectations, we recommend that seniors and family members:

  • Know Ohio’s regulations for memory care. Each state has its own laws and inspection processes to ensure seniors reside in a safe environment. Depending on your state, you may even be able to look up inspection reports for the communities you’re considering. Learn more about Ohio’s regulations for memory care and download the Guide to Senior Living Licensure and Inspection Reports.

  • Tour the location. Touring allows you to speak to current residents and staff, and it helps you confirm the accuracy of the community description and photos. Use our touring checklist to help guide your visit.

  • Confirm the availability of required services. Before committing, make sure that the community offers all the services your loved one needs, and that those services can be provided within your budget.
