I think it is ideal. My sister was hesitant to move at first but she thanks us every day. She loves it. She enjoys the many activities offered every day, the food choices, bingo, diamond art, exercise. She has made new friends and could not be happier. We are very impress with all the personnel staff so attentive friendly and helpful. We feel like she is very safe.

They have kind employees, helpful services, good meals that vary each week. Nice special events. Offered transportation is great. Apartment is more than enough with updates and weekly housekeeping is a huge plus.

Our family's experience
It was a smooth, easy, fun process. I didn't know what to expect since I was helping my Mom find her perfect place. We went on a pleasant, informative tour with [name removed]. She patiently answered all of our many questions! [name removed] helped us throughout the entire process from phone calls, messages, paperwork and questions. She was always so happy to help us with my Mom's new home! There seems to be many wonderful things for her to participate in. The times we stopped in, the residents were friendly and told us they are really happy living there. We also tried lunch there one day. It was delicious and the staff was attentive to what we needed.
So, yes, it was a fun and easy process. The best part was seeing my mom so excited about moving into her new home!

It has a genuine "family" feel to it. I learned diamond painting and it's absolutely wonderful! The I spend most of my time making nice diamond paintings and then "gifting" to someone who

Always friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place definitely. It has all the things I need; an in-unit washer and dryer, a walk-in shower, and a balcony to sit out on! Pets are allowed too!

A very welcoming place, with a great staff from the Administration, to the kitchen staff.........
I would say all of them are 5's. My Mom absolutely loves the place. [name removed] , who runs it is amazing. Always very clean. It is mostly Independent, So I don't know about the care as much. But when there have been issues they have been very good about letting us know immediately. A very welcoming place, with a great staff from the Administration, to the kitchen staff. Always clean. Westgate Village review
My overall experience has been a 4. Am still adjusting to apt. living. Cleanliness of facility is a 5. My apt. seems brand new. Friendliness has been a 4. I'm still getting to know the other residents. Have started developing some friendships and am enjoying that experience. Quality of care is difficult to answer. I don't require any health care needs. However all the the staff provide a variety of services from food, housekeeping, and anything else that might arise. They know all of our names, what foods we like, which apt. we live in. Administrative staff is a 5+. They really know us personally. They are fully immersed in all areas from taking food orders, chatting, helping with any apt. issues. Also explain how other services such as transportation, Dr. appts. Their attention before I moved in was what made me pick Westgate Village as my new home. Other's have
expressed the same in their decisions to move here. Food rates a 5 overall. Mealtime is a huge socialization opportunity. The food is tasty, served at good temperatures, extremely enjoyable. I like being able to grab a snack at the Bistro. I've been slow at participating in activities. I can't really rate that. Have attended a church service, card game, exercise session. Hope to do more after settling in. Also can't rate value for the money. Am amazed how all the staff manage to personalize their attention to each and everyone of us living here.

Review for Westgate Village
The staff is very helpful with any of the needs of the residence even down to helping my mother-in-law with her iPad she is not technically savvy whatsoever, and she only uses it for solitaire, but she couldn't find the solitaire icon. The residence themselves are all very kind very helpful, especially when it came to when my mother-in-law first moved in. They helped her get acclimated and showed her different things and invited her to different activities. It was very helpful & reassuring. The facility always has something in going on every day. It is up to the residence however, if they choose to join in on those activities. There are postings in the elevators by the dining room of things that are going on so that they can be kept informed also information goes to their rooms every day on the back of the daily menu as to what's going on that day as well. So they keep the residence informed they're there to help out with whatever they need maintenance or simple things such as lifting a box so very nice.

Would highly recommend!
5 for every category! We couldn't be more satisfied. My sister is doing fantastic which has been a blessing to us and her. Everyone had commented on her new attitude and how happy she is. She has made many new friends and enjoys the many activities. In fact it is hard to reach her during the day because she is out enjoying herself. Her family out of state have commented and have thanked us for making their mom so happy and in a safe friendly place. We are all so grateful and happy she is so happy. Thank you to all who have made Westgate the place you want your loved ones to be!!

A great place
Staff is really great. They do try to help you with what ever you need they have gone out of they way to help my sister get to her med appointment when I can't take her.
They serve it's seem a lot of pork , but they do offer other things but she forgot to ask for something else and being jewish we don't eat pork

Highly Recommended
We chose Westgate Village because it was newer, didn't smell like cigarettes, had a patio off of Mom's apartment, and amenities in the apartment such as a full-size fridge, an oven and a stove, a dishwasher, and a stacked washer/dryer. For activities, they have so few residents that ever participate, that some activities never get to occur. The activities are available, just not all happening.

Westgate Village is a great place for Mom. She immediately made friends. The grounds are comfortable. They are definitely involved in every aspect of the residents life. My Mom absolutely loves it there. They have always been completely upfront and honest with us. We have mostly worked with [name removed], The Manager. A couple of times the Assistant Manager has worked with is. He is just as friendly and helpful. Cant say anything bad about the place.

Place for my sister
My sister loves it at Westgate! She did not want to move at all. She is so happy there, she has made friends, she is enjoying the many activities. We have seen such a difference, she is happy and that is worth everything. She is safe and very happy!!

Perfect place for Mom
My Mom tells me every time I visit her how much she loves her new home at Westgate.
?? She has everything she needs and quickly made friends with her lovely neighbors. The swim classes are her favorite activity but Mom is also enjoying card games and arts/crafts. One of our biggest challenges has been getting her to church so she especially appreciates the weekly Catholic celebrations. A big thank you to A Place for Mom and the Westgate staff!

I wouldn't recommend it. But everyone is different. Many people there really were happy.
