A Good Place to Check Out
The willingness of the staff is great. Our initial contact with them has been excellent. They are lacking a little in letting the responsible party know what's happening. But overall, it's a very good place.

Great place to stay
This facility is very good. The staff is friendly and caring and attentive to the needs of each person who lives there. Neat and clean. Has all amenities for elderly population. There is plenty of activities going on here and I am pretty sure that the residents won't get bored at all. The kitchen and menu are excellent. My best wishes for its success.

If I had a need
Have been working with this team as one of their vendors. They have worked tirelessly to get this building in top shape. If I had an aging parent or family member this would be a place that I could feel comfortable with. As the building is clean and fresh, it’s the staff that is going above to make this a wonderful home for whoever their new community members are. Well done team!

Good staff
According to what I viewed in first person. The building was very nice, very clean. Staff had kind manners to make guest and customers very welcomed. I could say it was a heart warming experience and place although I think it will be a good place for new residents with loving families.

Beautiful Community
This community is gorgeous. The open house was amazing and beautiful! The staff was knowledgeable and explained the process and made it sound easier than I imagined. The Executive Director introduced himself and spent time with me and made me feel comfortable and I believe my loved one would thrive in this environment.

Facility shut its doors
So the facility shut down after 6 months and gave us 28 days notice. Lost our community fees, staffing was cut short prior to the closing... which decreased care given... It was completely the owner's decision to close it. The staff had no warning either so not their fault. The owners were still taking residents right before closing (very underhanded).

a nice community but needs improvement
Friendliness of the staff - this varies widely with individuals. The head med tech is not friendly at all and treats every interaction defensively. I have spoken to other families who have confirmed this as well, so I know it's not just my experience. Other med techs are very helpful. The activities director, business manager and sales rep are all very nice. Most staff members are extremely helpful and trying their best, but it is short staffed (as most places are right now). Care services - I believe it would be better if staffing was not an issue right now. I see many staff members hustling to cover it all. Activities - they are great at having events to include the families of residents. I feel daily activities are hit or miss and don't always happen as scheduled. They are very good at partnering with outside organizations to host events. Value for cost - it is very affordable compared to other facilities

It has been for a good experience
The community is very clean and well managed we never see anything out of place. The staff are easy to get a long with and treat us with kindness. When i talk to the nurse practitioner and speech therapist they seem to be doing a good job and they keep up with their communication. Our loved one is a picky eater so sometimes she has trouble eating. We have seen activities going on, they throw birthday parties. Our loved one is in a shared room which is actually working out great. The only issue we have which we understand given the circumstances but they only allow 2 people to come at a time to visit.

Wouldn't recommend - not as good as it looks.
The experience with the staff depends on who you were dealing with. A lot of the staff was very unfriendly to me. They didn't let me visit two times a day the last month of my loved one's life. Some of them were very, very angry. But some were nice to me. For people who are on their feet and in working health, it's not a too bad of a place. For people who are in bed, it's not such a good place. My loved one had in injury on his heel, which the doctor said was a deep tissue injury. It was full of blood under the skin and very scary looking. The Villa at Riverstone wanted to tell me it was his heel cracking, or he hit his foot on something. I suspect it was a wheelchair injury. One of their caregivers had artificial long nails, which deeply scratched his hands to the point that they were bleeding. I believe that caregiver was let go. I found him absolutely wet once, on a wet bed with a wet diaper. I feel they probably didn't change it in the evening or the morning, and it was the afternoon. The last week of his life was better, because hospice came in. And it was a magical experience with hospice. But I was not satisfied with this place. Everything looked nice, and some caregivers were very nice, probably most of them. They fed them, had a TV room, and cookies. It was nice for people in working health. But for people who were in bed and not able to defend themselves, it was not good. And I would not place him there again. They were so nasty to me, to the point that I was crying every day. They were so strict about visiting. If I didn't come right at the scheduled time, they wouldn't allow me in. I wanted to check on him in the evening too, to see if he was eating and see how he was doing. But the answer was always no - Covid. I don't think they were feeding him well. He got so skinny. They said he just won't eat. But when I brought him food and sat with him, he would eat it. I don't think they were trying. And they wouldn't let me come in to help. At the beginning, he could walk when he went in. He kept getting worse and worse. The facility invited a physiotherapist to come see him because the hospital recommended it to help him walk. We were out walking in the hallway with the physiotherapist, and they yelled at us that we weren't supposed to be there. That was so awful. I expected a little bit better, a little more understanding. They seem to be nice and everything is clean. But they are nice when everything is going well. As soon as something is going wrong, they're not so nice anymore.

It really was a home away from home!
The cleanliness of the community was a 10 plus, the friendliness of the staff members and the care they provided was a 25 plus. The staff were exceptional, attentive and truly went above and beyond. From the office help to the house keeping they were all wonderful, friendly and always kept busy. The meals are very good and they offered a huge variety to choose from. There are a lot of activity to participate in, they have plenty of help and the residents are always interacting with one another and the staff. The place is unbelievable we cannot say enough good things about The Villa at Riverstone, they took great care of our loved one.

A Place for Mom has scored Riverstone Memory Center 6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
