We were very very happy with their services
My brother had severe dementia and we lived out of state. We had him in a previous placement in Marin that was over twice as expensive and felt very impersonal and corporate while raising the rates on us and new random charges too. Nazareth was much more stable and predictable. When we traveled to Napa for the interview and tour Nazareth, the Executive Director, made us feel exceedingly welcome and comfortable immediately. It was honestly a breath of fresh air to find a place that felt very much like family. The staff appeared to work well together, taking a personal interest in each patient. Staff even helped move us in (unlike the previous place) and [name removed] would frequently call me with updates. I was also impressed by the seamless coordination of care between the Nazareth staff and the Suncrest Hospice staff for nursing care. My brother's friends who work in nursing homes reported to me how impressed they were as well after visiting him.

Helpful staff.
Although does seem expensive, but compared to other facilities, very comparable. Management (Minerva) was very helpful in getting [an me removed]back to Napa. He was in Martinez at a rehab center.

Family environment
They keep your loved one very clean. They make sure the medicine is administered correctly. They're very on top of that and they let him use the phone to call me, which is awesome and I take him out at least once a week and they get him ready for me. They shave him give a shower every day so I feel content that they're doing his daily routine like he would like it. They don't have a lot of activities. At least that's what my dad says. He walks the halls a lot. As for the money, it's super expensive to keep him there, but I just really don't have the choice.

Very helpful.
My brother (twin) has Parkinson's disease with dementia and had a wound on his left knee S/P left patellectomy [removed], that was taking a long time to heal ( he kept picking at it) It was considered a 2-3 stage wound, and he had Sundowners Syndrome related to his dementia, so trying to get him in somewhere, and I looked for 2 +-months, was very difficult, but Nazareth helped me with some good ideas to get him back to Napa ( he was in Martinez). Providence Hospice got involved thanks to Nazareth. So, yes I would recommend them!

Home from my 93-year-old Pop
Nazareth classic care home of Napa is a wonderful home for my 93 year-old dad he has learned to understand that he is being loved by so many people that are total strangers. They let him do his dancing and he still can’t believe that he’s 93 but he doesn’t look 93 but he has got dementia in the worst way and so he just follows all the rules and he loves the support and friendship that he’s made and they’ve become his home now and his family. I am his daughter and I go and take him out for doctor appointments and for coffee and to walmart so he gets to have his outings and he understands that he lives at Nazareth and that he doesn’t mind because they take care of him.

Grateful we found Nazareth
We chose Nazareth Classic Care of Napa because my neighbors mother has lived here a very long and they are super pleased with their experience. It is a smaller facility so the care that your loved one gets is more one on one. I would definitely recommend the facility to those looking for memory care.

Highly Recommended
My loved one thinks highly of the food. I have talked to the caregivers that assist my loved one. These caregivers call me and inform of anything going on with my loved. I believe the staff is very friendly. The community is taking care of my loved one. I am able to drop in and see my loved one through a window. My loved one always seems to be clean when I visit her at the window.

The state should make regular visits
The staff that directly cares for my dad at this facility receive 5 stars because they are very caring and respectful of the residents and their families. Management have proved to be dishonest. Exercise/music in the morning is the highlight of my dad’s day here as well as the volunteers that come to sing and play the guitar periodically! The facility itself is in need of maintenance and overall facelift. More staff is needed to monitor patients. More often than not guest must call phone number of facility to gain entrance or exit facility, the button does not seem to work. Central heat system blows cold air through bedroom vents (63 degrees over vent). Space heaters are used in residents rooms and activity area. Receptacles don’t hold heavy plugs and need to be replaced. Doors to patio are sprung too tight and propped open with rocks when the weather is warm. Emergency call buttons in rooms don’t work. Electronic bed remote sits on headboard but doesn’t work. This is supposed to be a memory care facility and a staff member let my dad have scissors They need a nutritionist. Roof leaks on left side of lobby near hallway door.

What I was advised
We spoke to the director at this community and they advised us this was a lock down community for memory care. They did ask us to see the community, however our loved one did not need this much care at this time.

My Mom is Meeting New People
My mom's care and experience is going okay and the staff are doing a good job assisting mom. She likes the meals they make and it looks good. My mom mostly likes to watch TV but at times she will meet the other residents to get social time. They have activities available and hobbies to join in. Her room is fine for her and is kept clean.

They Were Quick To Accept
My brother-in-law is doing well and I would say its's good. The community is clean from what it appears and the meals seem to look good. The staff have been responsive and stay in contact with me about anything. The staff are very kind and informative. The only issue is they charge for every little thing. The extra cost for adult diapers are very high but they were able to accept my brother-in-law in one day. I thank A Place For Mom for the help.

A Place for Mom has scored Nazareth Classic Care of Napa 9.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.   We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies.
