I was hesitant to even place her in a facility as I didn't want her to experience possible horror stories about facilities not taking care of their residents. However, Morada ended up being the perfect choice due to their community and mindset of residents first when providing care. Staff are attentive and listen to concerns and the residents are not pressured to participate in activities or meals, which gives some autonomy back for them. I picked this community for a couple of reasons: 1. Moradas memory care unit is a overall base rate of care. It does not increase based on a person's severity of their dementia. 2. The community upon entering felt more homey. It is not designed like a resort, rather a nice cozy living room or church fellowship hall without the religious aspect (at least for the memory care side). 3.Morada has virtually unrestricted access to your loved one for visitation and trips.
