Friendly and warm atmosphere!
This is a care facility for seniors. Everyone I came in contact with, residents and staff, was smiling, happy and friendly. It’s a great place. I was treated to a wonderful 3 course meal for lunch. The Director of sales showed me several rooms and we had a wonderful and informative discussion at lunch. There are many activities set up around the home and encourage those who like to garden to spend time planting etc in the patio area. They also celebrate with parties. Great environment!

Highly recommend
The facility, is very NICE. As my mom's puts it, when she's explaining La Mirada Heights to friends and/or family, "It's BEAUTIFUL."
It's very well maintained. Inside and out. IF there's ever a problem, let them know and maintenance will fix it right away or as soon as they can.
It's very peaceful, you can enjoy the day/evening walks around the place and feel safe.
The administrative staff are so kind and will work with you as much as they can, within reason. They make you feel so comfortable that you'll want to stay when just taking a tour.
I really feel my mom is happy with her choice in moving into La Mirada Heights. It's not hard to find and the way it's set in, in the neighborhood is SO NICE, plus it's right next to all your stores that you ever need.
Maybe you can reword it to make it sound better.
Also, I wasn't sure if I should've left a comment about the food or actually the cook. Which I wanted to ask you about. Who would I talk to about the cook and the choices of food and how / what gets made? Can I do that? Can I talk to someone there about certain things?
Seeing how all the residents living there are in their last years, whether it's 2 yrs, 5 yrs or 10 yrs, they're paying ALOT of money to be there, so they should be there enjoying the last part of their lives. They worked hard all their lives and enjoying THEIR retirement is getting what they deserve and BEING HAPPY! Do you know what I mean? They do their daily activities and trips to wherever, too. Now EATING also plays a BIG part of that too. EVERYBODY has different eating habits and they can be PICKY too, sometimes TOO PICKY, and that their choice, that's just how they are, especially if they're not very big. They have small appetites, so getting them to eat ANYTHING can be challenging sometimes. So when it comes to having choices with food and HOW THEY would like to eat it, could be frustrating when there's a lot of mouths to feed. Of course, you can't please everybody, I know this, but is it really that hard to make an omelet instead of scrambled eggs. Sure it's a lot easier just to make EVERYBODY eat scrambled eggs. 'If they don't want them, don't eat them?' That's probably what this cook is thinking. That is so wrong. Now would it be wrong to want to talk to somebody about this matter? There's some other things, too, but I wanted to know what you thought about it.

a perfect place for mom
The overall experience of working with a place for Mom was absolutely perfect. I don't remember the name of the young man that helped me, but he gave me many many places to look at to see which would be the best fit for my mom. We ended up going with The Palms in La Mirada, which is now called the La Mirada Heights and it has been an absolute perfect fit for my mom. She has many friends enjoys all the food and all the different amenities, including the activities. I could not have asked for a better place for my mom than where She is at. Thank you very much for all your help with finding just the right place for my mom to feel safe secure and loved.

He likes that is room is close to the cafeteria, also big enough for everyone. They let the family and friends come eat with him. He can go in and out without anyone asking where are you going. Close to the right stores and markets.

excellent staff, quality care, overall a good choice
The staff is my favorite part of living here. They try there very best for us. I think with some of the things here I think they are on a strict budget. If you need a lot of help with transportation it's not good. There is 1 driver he only drivers from 9am to 2pm. No weekends.The food most of the time it's not bad. I just wish they had more selection Day to day. It's the same stuff all the time.

Experience at The Palms
Staff is great, if someone is interested in this place, wait until the remodel is completed it has been a complete disaster/nightmare.
I would very much so recommend The Palms La Mirada to others looking.

The Palms experience was a very good one. My dad had since passed, but the facility went above and beyond taking good care of my dad. My dad's place was clean, the staff was exceptional, quality of food was good we ate there frequently with him. The residents were all very friendly. Overall, we would recommend them.

The landscaping and exterior of the building are very well maintained. The interior and apartments are spacious. Many facilities (gym, meditation room, library) on site. Resident is responsible for medical/personal care, and renter's insurance, in addition to rent and life alert subscription.

happy with The Palms, would recommend
The staff especially the front desk are top notch! They are very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and they definitely make sure that you feel important and that this is your home!
Apartment sizes are good. It would be nice if the refrigerator was a little bit bigger/ and I was shown a different apartment that had a very small balcony but when I signed the papers it wasn't the one I got!

What a Wonderful Experience w/Tour Guide Carmen
I had a guided tour of The Palms today with C. My son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter joined us.
We found C to be exceptionally knowledgeable about the property. We believe her efforts to assist us were truly sincere and not just an effort to make a sale. She was pleasant, had a great sense of humor, happily answered all our questions (and there were many), and even anticipated many of our questions and concerns. That lady could sell me the Brooklyn Bridge.
We are hoping that I will be able to make The Palms my home, when my lease expires at my current residence, on August 31st. I can’t wait to spread the word.

My loved one is a resident at Holiday The Palms. We are very happy with the staff, they're very friendly and helpful. [name removed] and [name removed] are amazing in making sure that my dad is always okay. The food here is good. My sister's and I join my dad for meals daily. All said, my dad is what matters and we feel that he's happy and well taken care of.

Great stress relief for Dad.
The Palms La Mirada is absolutely excellent. My father has been very happy there. The people and community are very friendly and helpful, and my dad is really enjoying becoming part of the retirement home and having friends again. It is a great stress relief to know that my dad is well taken care of and that there is excellent communication from the facility to the family. My father (who has always been a big eater) is very happy with all the meals and doesn't need any food / snack supplements from his family because he is always well fed.
