I would definitely recommend Freedom Village.

Skilled nursing is a joke
My mother has been a resident here for 12 years and has spent the last week in the skilled nursing facility after a knee replacement. I call her every morning and half the time she’s crying because they take so long to get her pain meds to her. We called and talked to the charge nurse and agreed she’d get pain meds by 7am every morning. It’s was 9:30 when I called and no meds. They ignore her calling for assistance or take hours to respond. On top of that, she got no dinner the other night and wrote ‘no eggs’ all over her menus request last night and got eggs this morning. Not sure what is going on at this facility but there’s a real issue with competence and attitudes. I would steer clear of this place

Our family's experience,
My parents are both very happy with everything so a 5. They are actually together now in the independent living section. Based on the experience we have had so far with Freedom Village, we would recommend this community to other families.

The sales rep was so willing to help and reviewed all that would be provided as well as a furnished room It just felt like the right place. If one were to ask me about my experience I would say that I would be more satisfied if my loved one had more attention and those that are responsible to provide the care needed would also be aware of those needs.

I am unsure of the value for cost at the moment, I will be moving in on [date removed]. I haven't moved in yet, but the sales and marketing staff been terrific. Also, the move-in coordinator and just about everyone.

Make Sure You Do Your Homework
I wouldn't recommend the community to others. There was a big change of attitudes by the staff in the last three weeks. The communication from the staff was hard for them to stay in contact with the family or return phone calls.

My Review
From the very first call, I was so impressed. The staff is amazing and really go out of their way to make my dad happy. The facility is top notch, always clean and there are so many activities for everyone to enjoy. I would recommend Freedom Village to anyone. I love that my dad is safe an well care for.

The best
I talk to friends of mine and have told them about this community and now they are moving into the community. We have activities like Halloween parties, yoga, exercise, plays at the theater and socials and more for the residents. I have not participated in everything but they do have a lot to pick from.

Our experience with Freedom Village
We chose Freedom Village because they have continued care here, independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, rehab, memory care, hospice. This is great because you do not have to move your loved one if they need more care. My dad decided he did not like the location of his room and they let him move rooms and they helped set up his new room for him which was helpful. The administrative is not good with communication and is slow to respond to messages I have left. Overall, I would recommend to others looking.

what a great place! they have all the levels of care so one can age in place here and never have to move out of the community. Great staff and residents. Very happy w the care loved one receives. Good food and beautiful campus. Lots to do for all levels and stages

Excelllent!
I moved into Freedom Village on [date removed]. I'm very pleased with every aspect of the facility. I live in the Lexington building on the Independence wing. The apartment is beautiful and completely re-decorated prior to my moving in. I chose the colors of paint, the granite tops and cabinets and carpet/flooring. Currently there are many activity restrictions because of the covid virus, however all the residents that wished be have received their vaccinations. It is the vast majority of us. Gradually activities are being re-started. The dinning rooms are open and serving excellent food! Everyone I have met both residents and staff are pleasant, friendly and eager to be helpful. The surroundings both inside and outside are beautiful and well maintained. I feel so secure here and my family does as well knowing I will always be care for no matter what my needs may be. It is definitely a five star place!!!

The best care!
We really liked that this community was smaller, and it would be more hands on attention. The rooms are very nice, they are big enough, however they could use more natural light to make them brighter. Our loved one things the food is horrible, it's sometimes cold by the time it gets to her room. If the kitchen staff has already done dishes sometimes its hard for her to get another dish to warm up her meal. Besides that the care services are excellent.

My loved one started there for rehab services, The staff took a few days for us to even speak to a social worker to figure things out. One of the nurses would roll her eyes are if asked question or anything as if she didn't want to be bothered be us. The charge nice was very good and helpful. Poor communication and no care plan.

I find them very welcoming and warm. Staff is very caring. Food is very good. I am very comfortable with them. They offer a lot of activities for their residents. Staff Goes Above and Beyound
My mother ([name removed]) has been a resident of Freedom Village of Bradenton, Fl for three and a half years. She turned 100 years of age [date removed]. Special thanks to [name removed] / director of assisted living and memory care and [name removed] / programs director . I could not be with my mother before her actual birthday. The day prior to her special occasion the staff presented her with flowers, two certificates reflecting her achievement, balloons and of course the singing of Happy Birthday.
My son and I were overwhelmed, as we walked with my mother down the hall. Every staff member stopped to sing Happy Birthday to her.
I would recommend Freedom Village of Bradenton to anyone who may need their services. The professionalism and communication is second to none.

My mom is currently here. If you are in a hurry for help it takes about 35 minutes. When the gal was asked why does it take that long she responded “that’s about right” when hospice came in to put an air mattress on the bed they threw the call light button on the night stand and never gave it to my mom . She got her neck stuck in the pillow and couldn’t call for help. I do not recommend this facility.
