Mother with dementia.
My mother was in another facility and we decided to move her here due to some concerns. We’ve been very happy so far. The staff is great! The layout of the facility gives a feeling of a home versus an assisted-living or medical Center, And allows good observation for the staff. The building is showing a little wear and tear, but nothing major. The meals are just average, but they feed all the residents at once in a very nice open room, and include everyone so it has a very pleasant atmosphere instead of a cafeteria feel. As for cost, it’s much higher than the previous facility but I feel it’s worth it given her advanced dementia needs. Overall, I would recommend this facility to others.

Review for Courtyard Manor of Howell
Families should feel at home, be comfortable going into the kitchen, show up for lunch or dinner and don't be afraid to help with feeding. Ask questions! The staff don't know what you don't know. My aunt was also a hospice patient definitely talk to the hospice nurse. My aunt loved coke so I brought the little bottles, she also had a hard time swallowing pills so I brought individual cups of applesauce to help her swallow. Label personal items, clothes to wheel chairs.

A home for the future
It's a good experience and I would recommend it. They are always on top of it. They play games. Each day there is a new activity for them. If they don't want to play they try and give them something else to do.

For us it was a perfect place
Our loved one was here for a short time with hospice care, but we have to say this was the best place for our loved one. The quality of care our loved one received was wonderful and overall we were very pleased. He was not able to have the meals, but they looked very appetizing and they always posted the recipes up on the board. Based on the experience we had we would definitely recommend this community to other.

Outstanding in every level
Courtyard was the perfect place for our loved one, they were only there for about a month but we really appreciated all the personal interaction and personal care that was given. Their hospice care was outstanding as well as the lady [name removed] who was in charge of the community. The care was just wonderful and we would recommend this community to other families.

Community Tour
We had a nice tour at Courtyard Manor of Howell. It was a very nice place. I liked everything about it. The admissions person was very friendly and knowledgeable. And the residents were really upbeat and encouraging to one another. I liked seeing them palling around together.

Fantastic Assisted Living
The care here is excellent. My loved one has an alarm so when the alarm goes off they are there quickly and it is just a great place for him to be. The staff are trying to do everything that they can do to help make him eat. They are very accommodating and have been trying to do everything that they can or change as needed to make sure that my loved one is getting what he needs.

She was there for about a year but then they raised the rates and I couldn't afford it anymore. They were very nice, I really liked it. They were open to visiting. There were times I was able to put my mom to bed at like 8 or 8:30. I would take her and get her dressed for bed. They would often get their people dressed around 6 or 7 and put them in recliners to watch TV but there were a few times I was able to tuck her in. Sometimes I wonder with the Alzheimer's what she thought of the place.

Courtyard Manor bought Patti Lewis Care Home in 2021 and this review was written in 2014.
We do provided exceptional and compassionate care of all are residents and my staff are amazing.
