Often they aren't able to provide the dinner meal because they don't have enough staff. Breakfast is great, and lunch has been just fine. But we're paying for all three meals, and often she gets just a cold sandwich for dinner, or nothing at all. If your loved one can cook for themselves, the apartments have full operational kitchens, which is nice. But if they need meals provided to them, it's not an ideal situation. Overall my mom is very happy and content there.
