Nice location, maybe a little too big with the assistant living side and the memory side.

It seems real safe and it is a nice setting. The staff are very really good. The food is okay They offer a daily menu with options in restaurant style dining. Right now, they are delivering three meals a day to the resident's apartments. My loved one is not happy with the bus service. We chose this community because it had a gated pool, nice walking paths, and price was right.

The caregivers are amazing staff. I have never seen such a caring staff team. They treat her like actually family and more. The food needs improvement. The care level is incredible. The staff love her so much and she loves them so much. I chose this community because they offered us a good deal and a spacious one bedroom with a good view.

Enjoyed virtual tour - Units are good sized and reasonably priced. Would consider them to be on my short-list.

I got a call from them right away. They were very pleasant and helpful in hearing our situation and answering questions. Unfortunately, because of covid, I can't go inside to tour the facility. They sent a video instead.I put 4 stars only because I had to "rate" them before leaving comments. The stars are only based on the phone conversation thus far which was great.

My father has been at Elmcroft for approximately a year and a half. He is mobile but suffers from dementia I have recently moved out of state which has limited my visits to him. It is comforting to know that Elmcroft’ staff (from housekeeping to director ) are there to give me assistance whenever it is needed. They are my eyes and ears in my absence and always respond to my calls or text concerning my father. I could not have made my out-of-state move as easily have the care not been top quality. For memory care, this place is great!

My mother has been at Elmcroft of LaMesa over a year now. The staff is very caring and compassionate with the residents as well as their families . They have a lot of activities and special events which the residents seem to really enjoy. The only downfall is the staff turnover... a lot of people come and go and sometimes there doesn’t seem to be enough hands on staff to deal with all the residents who need assistance.

The only downside is that the facility is so large. I feel like it loses some of it's at home feel. However, the accommodations feel very much like a home environment. The residents looked very happy.

Elmcroft of La Mesa was extremely helpful and kind to us when we suddenly had to place my mother. I was able to just observe my mother while she settled in and saw how great they were to the residents and good at gentle redirection. [name removed] was and is a big help and is always willing to thoughtfully listen to our concerns and help ease our fears. My mom is always laughing now and conversing with the thoughtful staff members and they are very loving and kind. I would recommend this home to you for your loved one. The only thing I wish was different would be a bigger outdoor walking area but this has nothing to do with staff but the designer/builder

This community needs a little improvement it isn't that clean and the elevator floor stays sticky. And they could use some updating. And they have a dog park that looks great online but it isn't kept up at all. Other than that they are happy here they clean the apartment once a week.They have a cute small patio. They love the nice dining area and the food. They have nice activities like they went whale watching last week and on wednesday's they have music and dancing that they enjoy. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

Grossmont Gardens is a nice older establishment. It was clean and well-kept. The staff was friendly and gave a nice tour of the facility. We chose another community that was a better fit for our loved one's needs.

My loved one was at this community for a short period of time and we where very pleased with how things had went for her. The staff where kind and I was comfortable with the quality of care she received. She had no complaints about the meals and enjoyed participating in some of the activities with the other residents. The facility was kept clean every time I visited which I was impressed with. Overall we where happy and would recommend it to anyone.

I have no complaints of how things went for my loved one and I during out tour of this community. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions we had for them in detail. I like the open floor layout and all of the great amenities available to all of the residents. It was just not the right location in the end decision but I would recommend it to anyone.

I have no complaints about how things are going for my mother since she made the move into this community. The staff have been helpful and accommodating her needs to the best of there ability. I like how clean the community and how well of a job the staff do maintaining it for all of the residents. They have great activity program as well as a dinning experience that mother is enjoying. I would recommend this place to anyone interested.

While touring we got to have lunch. We had the best food, it tasted wonderful. We didn't get to talk with the residents when touring. In comparison for the size of the room, it was not going to benefit her.

My dad has recently moved into this community and so far we are pleased with how things are going for him. The staff have been wonderful to him especially all of the nursing crew. They have helped him make the transition and make sure he is comfortable in his new living environment. He has had no complaints about the food but wishes they have more activities for him to enjoy throughout the week.

We toured this community for my father's care. The community was clean and the other residents were involved with activities for the residents would want to participate. My father did not seem to like this community and he wanted something a little closed to my home. We would recommend that families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

It was a hard transition, but my mother is adjusting well. There is a group of residents who took her under their wing and helped her navigate. She has joined some activities I believe and she has not called me saying she needs anything. No news is good news. The place is very clean and organize. In fact, that was the main reason that we chose it, to begin with.

small facility; executive director very informative; two small courtyards; completely memory care only; nestled in a neighborhood; average age of residents is mid 80's; one area for dining and activities; dad isn't ready for this place quite yet.
