The staff and administration are organized, prompt, loving, and attentive. They are supportive and seek to keep people healthy and safe, but also respect their preferences and personalities. Highly recommend!

1. Overall experience. Just as a note, The Meadows had decided she would fair better at their sister location, a group home of about 6 bedrooms called, Oaktree Place Senior Living. Ultimately my mother stayed with them until her passing in the beginning of February. During that time, and though I lived on the other side of the country, the in-house staff was very communicative and accommodating via FaceTime so I often had the ability to see what was going on. There was some dissonance between one of my family members and the staff that got a little complicated for the latter half of my mother’s time there but after my due diligent investigation it turned out my family member was just stirring up some issues with staff that should not have gotten to the point it did. [name removed] the staff handled it very well and I appreciate the care they took with my mother. 2. Cleanliness. Via FaceTime and other family/friends visiting I was confirmed that the place was squeaky clean on a regular basis. 3. Friendliness of staff. I really only interfaced with three people but it was a small group home so that was totally fine. They did have to deal with some issues that came via my family member, and while they had their differences I feel like they handled the situation the best they could so that we didn’t have to find a new home for my mother. There was never a point I felt concerned even while some of the issues with my family member was occurring. And to be honest, I apologize to them many times over. 4. Quality of care. Being a small group home there was time for more focus. At least from everything I could see and what was reported back to me. 5. Meals/Dining. Home made meals were prepared daily and they did there best to assist my mother as she got to a point where she had to be fully assisted. 6. Activities. Given my mother’s status upon moving in there wasn’t too much she could do but they did their best to bring some cheer to her by decorating for the holidays. They even bought her some Christmas pajamas to wear on Christmas which I thought was very cute. 7. Value for Cost. These things are never cheap but it was great to know that money wasn’t going to poor care. I think they were right on the money and I feel lucky that we were able to get a room with them.

It's been a very good experience and I love that they poster activities on Facebook. They always look like they're having fun.

The food could be a little better quality. Everything else seems to be pretty good.

Everything went so smoothly from the first phone call to [name removed], to mom actually moving in. I absolutely love the staff. [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed] have gone out of their way to make mom as comfortable and safe as possible. I've only met 2 other staff members briefly and they were very pleasant and very welcoming. The Barns are beautiful inside and out and I can't wait for the big read barn to be completed. My sister in law [name removed] lives much closer to our mom than we do so she is able to visit much more than we can, she does talk and visit with other residents while she's there and the staff The staff genuinely adore [name removed] coming over and helping out. I do want to give an abundance of praise to [name removed] for her commitment to the company and to helping make everyone feel welcomed and make the process so much easier.

Note: She is at their off campus property- Oaktree. The staff really works hard and live on-site as well. All in all very communicative but could use an extra hand as there is 6 patient residents and I know it's a lot for them but they maintain very well. They even make a point to be festive and decorate for holidays which I think is a nice touch.

Thanks to A Place For Mom and to The Meadows, you really helped our family manage my fathers last days/weeks, and gave us peace of mind with regards to my fathers care.They had everything we needed for my dads care (Dimentia-trained staff and hospice care), the quality of the staff and the care seemed much better than other options, and the facility was well kept and clean.

Meadows Assisted Living was a wonderful place for my mother! All of the staff treated her and our family so well! They kept me informed about all my mother's health issues and special events! Even shared pictures with me via text! At the time of her passing many of the staff shared beautiful stories about my mother with me! The care and compassion they had for my mother was something I will treasure forever! I still enjoy their Facebook page will pictures and good memories. Thank you Meadows! I rate you as 10 stars!

My dad likes it, and the staff are mostly great! We have had great care from wonderful staff that truly care about their residents.

This has been a great experience for the family and our loved one. They have been able to make it feel more homey, and they had an open house for the new opening of the community. The community is on the smaller side. Like a lot of communities, there are times the community is short staffed. The food is great and home-made, and there are three meals a day served to the residents. The community is willing to make improvements along the way.

I would recommend the Meadows to family seeking someplace close to home with basic rooms and services. Everyone I dealt with seemed genuinely concerned with my family members situation.

I just got a good feeling about the place and they offer all we needed. Meadows is clean and The staff is very caring and helpful.

Areas of improvement - there could be better ability and ways to reach the staff members that are on site. There could be more staff in general and choices in food. However based on the experience we have had so far with Meadows Assisted Living, yes we would recommend this community to other families.

I would say the size of it is nice and half the workers do the job but the few that don't ruin the experience. There was an aide that took out her whole weave on the med cart.... I found that disgusting. I think if you want your parent to be taken care of like they should....bring them to your home. That's the best care they will get.

They are short staffed, like every place is right now. It would be nice if they had outings for residents and more activities. I would like to see a monthly activity and menue calendar. They serve soup a lot. Mushy veggies and very dry meat. They do not serve special holiday meals, like turkey on Thanksgiving or special Christmas meal for the ones that do not go anywhere on holidays. The residents are like family to each other and have developed great relationships.

You need to know when you're going to die, otherwise they're going to charge you for the next whole month. That's the only issue I have with them. Otherwise it was a pretty good place.

Can't complain about too much. The staff tries really hard and they're usually understaffed on holidays and weekends but who isn't these days. They didn't seem to clean the room very much. Still the staff were very nice and personable they always were very prompt to respond to a call. Usually less than 5 minutes. meals were well prepared. Very reasonably priced.

Sun Valley looked to be kept clean. The people I talked to seemed to care about their residents. They knew about who was where, and what was going on. They ended up not being the place for us for a couple of reasons. They didn't have availability at the time we were looking. And ultimately it seemed like they did not have as much staff and therefore additional features. We were looking for a larger community with more planned activities and community interaction.

There are still in the process of transitioning over to new management and hiring no more people. They have hired on a new activities director and are working on improving their accessibilities for the residents an visiting families and friends - they used to have a system where you had to ring a doorbell and wait for someone to come let you in - now family and friends have a code to get into the building which makes things much easier. Anytime we have questions or concerns they are very responsive and we can see all the improvements they are making. We know they are trying very hard.

We really liked The Meadows. It is a family owned facility and they claim that all of the staff are hired by them so they have no contractors. The price structure was a little different, they give you a flat rate but then they have to evaluate your loved one and tailor a care plan, so the price is not up front. The staff all seemed very professional. The rooms were a good size, but too small for all of the things that mom would have to have in there. The pharmacy that Meadows works with is a lot more flexible and they allow you to use your regular pharmacy plans if it is cheaper.
