Based on my personal experience with just my dad's care in the life stories section, memory care unit....his room is consistently clean, the unit is clean, the food is good, lots of variety with meal choices, there are lots of options for activities (my dad does not participate in most but that's not for lack of choices). The staff are all very caring towards my dad. They have learned his habits, likes and dislikes..they are very attentive toward him, and they relay stories and info to me each time I visit about how he's feeling, how he's adjusting, etc. I am beyond grateful knowing that he's well cared for, and that they genuinely look out for him. I believe with all places of business there are employees who are truly dedicated and those that are just trying to make it through the week..the staff have so many behavioral obstacles to deal with, and let's face it, what they do is not glamorous in any way..it's very physically demanding and emotionally demanding..in my opinion (at least with my dad) they do a very good job managing it all the best that they can..specific shout out to [names removed]..I'm very thankful to them and the entire staff as well as the front office greeters who welcome us every day on visits!

The staff was very nice and helpful. I would recommend them to others who are searching for care for their loved one.

The Woods at Cedar Run is a hidden gem. The grounds are exceptional and the facility has all the amenities you could ask for. The Community Relations Director greeted us and gave us the tour. The units were of comfortable size and had nice views of the property. Many trees keep the venue quiet and peaceful. The meal plans, activity options and club organizations are amazing. One can be as active as you wish.

Residence at Fitz Farm is a great place! My sister is in the independent care section at Fitz Farms. Our overall experience has been great in particular with the staff. They're always available to ask questions and to guide you through this new environment where your loved one will be staying. The building is beautiful and offers a variety for eating choices. iIt is warm and welcoming. There is a movie theater, hair salon, PT on site just to name a few offerings. Apartments in Independent care provide washer/dryer, full kitchen and is cleaned weekly by the staff. An all around great place!

I would give it a 5. Our only other experience is some of the Medicare facilities. This is so much better than any of those places.

The Woods is nestled in a picturesque wooded area with Cedar Creek behind it. There is plenty of wildlife to be viewed from the common dining room windows and from balconies facing onto Cedar Creek. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The residents seem to be very content there. The interior is kept very clean and the grounds outside look well trimmed. The Woods has a wonderful outside area where families can get together with their loved ones and have a cookout.

The staff is very friendly and the place is very clean. They have a lot activities daily!

Our family moved our 97 year old mother into Candle Light Cove at the end of 2025 after an extensive search. It was the best decision we could have made. She was very comfortable there from her first day. The staff is truly terrific - management, admin, nursing, F & B and housekeeping. They are caring, responsive and dedicated. Our primary concern when moving our mother into an assisted living facility was that she be well taken care of and she surely was. The facility is bright, clean and cheerful. We cannot thank the entire staff enough for the great care she received.

Colonial Courtyard Tyrone was a good choice for my mom. The location allowed for her friends, family and church family to visit her. I found this to be an important part of her well being and mental health. The home like environment is welcoming and the staff were helpful and caring. My mother enjoyed her time there with the activities and special events they would have throughout the year. My mother's time with Colonial Courtyard Tyrone was positive and I would recommend this facility.

The staff is very friendly They handle medication management very well ( and my uncle needs frequent medication) The have fun events that families can participate in: holiday party, spring cookout, summer luau (pig roast, fire dancers) They also have fun themed events for residents: special Entertainment for Elvis' bday, New Year's Eve party, baseball opening day cookout etc. On holidays they have a special brunch that families can join for a small fee. They have physical and occupational therapy on site.

Staff is very professional and friendly. The put the residence first. There is a very aggressive, fun, activity schedule for residents to participate in. There are weekly day trips for those who want to get out. Three meals A day. The monthly activity calendar is distributed to all and they are posted everywhere as well as the weekly meal menu. Residence areas are clean. There is weekly room cleaning and laundry available at additional cost. The facility common areas on all floors were recently renovated. Very tasteful and comfortable. I would recommend.

Aside from being the closest to my home and the most reasonable priced, it passed the nose test with flying colors. They raise the bar very high other facilities.

1. Smaller and more intimate. 2. Easy access to dining, activity center, social gathering places. 3. Very clean environment. 4. Full time nursing staff. 5. On location PT. 6. All meds blister packed and given by nursing staff, establishing full compliance with taking meds. 7. Very comfortable living quarters. 8. Mostly gracious, friendly and helpful staff with just one front desk exception. 9. Attentive and responsive health staff when required. 10. Food looked good. Mom enjoyed it. 11. Constant monitoring. 12. Plenty of varied activities.

Once officially approved, the move in process was pretty efficient.

Everyone is very friendly, helpful and the facility is clean and lovely.

My Dad is having a fantastic experience at Chestnut Ridge! [name removed] has been so incredibly kind and helpful getting him settled, and all of the staff there are wonderful! I’m so grateful we found Chestnut Ridge and can’t express how nice the facility is and how truly caring the staff are! We’re so grateful!

The staff were attentive and welcoming. Rooms are nicely sized. The daily caretaking is excellent.

My dad has only been there for a month so my ratings are based on what I've seen so far stopping in to visit almost daily. [name removed] (admissions) moved mountains to get my dad in there straight from rehab, with only a few days notice...staff is extremely friendly and responsive to questions and requests for care...activities are great but more staff effort is required to get patients to participate instead of just being g in their rooms most of the day..food always looks good, my dad isn't picky, so no complaints there...cost overall compared to other places is average, but in the grand scheme private pay system is a disgrace to our seniors who've worked and saved their entire lives to have their assets depleted so quickly with not much choice in care options..the whole system is shameful...but I am very happy with the care and attention my dad is getting from Glen Mills Senior Living currently

The activity director goes way above and beyond her duties. She loves and involves each memory care resident like it is her own mother and dad. That also extends to the caring staff on memory care as well They are very compassionate and caring to the residents! Are they perfect, no, but no place is. It is also very clean and cheery!

Would definitely recommend! Incredibly caring and competent staff, a homey and newly-renovated built environment, and excellent communication regarding my father's care.
