Friendly and caring

The food could be improved. There is only one actual registered nurse on duty for the entire facility. There are medical techs that give medications. There are some language/communication issues. We had to really push to not use their insurance for medications. But overall, my mother in law loves living there. The place looks like a modern hotel. She has made friends and is happy there. There are just a few things that could be improved.

A lovely place

The physical facility as well as the quality of life at The Club are both extraordinary. The place is spotless, the food is truly excellent and the field trips and daily activities are top notch. The daily live shows of talented musicians never disappoint. From my research before choosing a place for my dad, the nursing care is the most complete you can find anywhere. I highly recommend The Club!

Highly Recommended

My loved one is currently a resident at The Landing at Alexandria and the overall experience has been good so far. They transitioned to a new management company early on. There were some issues in the beginning, but it is getting better. The meals are very good. The move in process was easy. Communication with the family could improve. Overall, I would highly recommend The Landing at Alexandria to others.

A well appointed facility with a competent staff. As with all food service facilities, they struggle to keep sufficient staff, Te overall staff are positive and strive to provide good service. Recent staff upgrades have resulted in improved services.

Review for The Landing at Alexandria

We picked this community because it allows all the residents to live with dignity. It doesn't look like an assisted living nor memory care. The modern feel makes you feel as though you're living in a hotel. The staff goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. They treat all residents with respect. There are plenty of activities or clubs to join if you choose. The staff makes all the residents feel seen, and at home.

A lovely facility but can use a little tweaking in the communication area

Our loved ones had a short stay for respite care and she did say the meals were really good but the activities were pretty limited and it was around the holidays so there was really not much going on. There is a lack of internal communication between the management team and their aids that could be improved.

Great place for nursing home, not skilled nursing care

My mother was transferred to Legacy Point to receive skilled nursing care. She was unable to walk when she arrived and was a larger person. The facility did not have available a wheelchair that would fit her or a sling that was big enough for her. She was at the facility for over a week before those items were finally obtained. She was in the facility for almost two weeks before we moved her to another facility. The facility had difficulty in managing her medications and in providing care when needed to the bedside. Her face was not washed unless it was requested. The facility is beautiful and does have an excellent assistant director of nursing and social services person. Unfortunately, we experienced a lack of direction and supervision of the night staff which was not a good situation for my mother who needed a lot of care. If your loved one only needs nursing care and it is not a complex case, then this facility is a good choice. Otherwise it would be best to find another place.

Horrible patient care very short handed nurses and mostly CNA staff

The club on the outside looks great if you are a senior and don’t need assistance this is the place for you.Now for the BUT, if you need nurse or mainly CNA help don’t hold your breath!!! The club is so short handed with staff it’s ridiculous not safe.If your needs are a level 3 or 4 you can wait forever!!’ Some floors only run with only 1 CNA and other floors sometimes none. In the last 2-3 months care has gone very much down hill. They send cna staff home as they come in knowing they are short. For the last 3 weeks they didn’t have an DON director of nursing she was on disability having an operation. The staff are rarely on the same page.
