I lived in Independent living for almost 4 years and knew my care just across the street would be just as accommodating as I experienced in independent living. The care provided by St. Anthony's is the best. Kindness and smiling faces are everywhere. We have fun things to do and activity by experienced care professionals, and some patients lead in outside games and a varieties of activities.

I would recommend the Knoll's to others. They have been supportive and welcome feedback to ensure my mom's needs are met. The facility provided the level of support my mother needed while having the appearance and feel of an apartment complex rather than a nursing facility.

There's a fair amount of turnover in dining staff because of low wages and tips are forbidden. The facility is close to University Hospital. There are many activities offered for residents.

When Dad first moved in, it was amazing. Then after 6 months it was sold to a corporation and you know how that goes. Cutting corners due to budget. Absolutely beautiful facilities, just the food and admin are less than desirable. Would still recommend this facility to others looking.

The apartments are nice (I guess that comes under "clean") the atrium is pretty, gives a sense of spaciousness! The on your own activities like the library and the exercise area are not stuck off in separate, closed in rooms, but are each on a different floor around the atrium. Lovely use of that space! One is a game "room," I think. The library is on [name removed] floor so I remember that one, and I thought he'd use the exercise area, so I had that one locked in my mind. But no. He does his "steps," walking in place in the kitchen so people don't "bother" him. Pretty severe introvert, that one! He did find "his" table of people -- the quietest ones all sit together. Another floor has a track they can walk around the atrium. I think it's linoleum, instead of carpet, but while they walk, they can look down at the people that are coming and going and checking their mail, etc. Even watch the piano concerts from at least the 2nd floor, if not higher. You can certainly HEAR it higher! Except for some repairs at first that seemed to drag out, the atmosphere is lovely! (replacing wet carpet, in front of the elevators, people had to walk on some plastic or something for what seemed like a too long time.) I THINK they don't have the lemon water cooler -- sometimes cucumbers or oranges -- That some others have, but I think that's how you get the more important things for the better price. If I could no longer do my many hobbies that require a lot of attention, I think I myself would enjoy the Montclair. Actually, I think, isn't Caimbridge that an Aldi is in the same block? They can walk without crossing a street! And they have a balcony for every upstairs room and actual outside earth that can be fenced in, in the back for the ground floor. I saw some pets and gardens in those fences. (Montclair has pets, too. Up to 35#. I didn't think to mention it because it doesn't affect my brother. He never had a pet in his life, except as my parents assigned one of mine for him to feed. I don't think he's ever had an indoor plant.) Cambridge has the atrium too, and a little more agressive activity plan. A rewards system for certain preferred behaviors. Like flowers on their balcony or wearing some tag or thing around your neck that helps them in emergencies. Then you get Caimbridge bucks to spend on practical things like shampoo and soap. Combs, toothbrushes. Probably not the ones that fit my electric toothbrush. I'm on the fence about the reward system. But to still "own" a patch of dirt outside my door (if I had to leave my house and things) would be awesome! That's a long way off yet. I think the Montclair is the best fit for the money for [name removed]. A little quieter than Cambridge (if I have the name right) a pinch more genteel, without the incentive programs. Lovely place. There were several others that were just as lovely, if not a little more, but the price was greater than his SS payments. This one just fit him in all directions. And I really like the "tour guides" at Montclair.

I highly recommend this place out of all the places in Boulder. [community removed] is also lovely, lower key and sweet. For my social mother in law, the Pearl is heaven. Fantastic staff, excellent food, lots of exercise classes, and a friendly dining room. Two thumbs up!

Everyone knows her name. The meals are always delicious. And they have a wide variety. She hasn't found many that she wants to do, but the ones she has done she really enjoys. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families!

My brother moved in a few months ago and is very happy at Kipling Meadows. The place is beautiful and is improving all the time with new furniture, carpets, and light fixtures. There are fresh flowers when you walk into the lobby, and everyone is friendly. He enjoys the food and having his room cleaned for him each week. They have outings you CC an sign up for and music events. We are so pleased to have found such a nice place for my brother to stay!

Overlook Village is not only beautiful, but well taken care of and well loved by the staff and residents there. Lots of varying activities for residents to partake in and the food is wonderful! The staff genuinely care about the health and wellbeing of the residents, and it shows. I would recommend this facility over any others in the Quad Cities area.

I have been visiting many senior living facilities to narrow down a few for my very stubborn, very particular mother. You will want to start your search with Overlook Village. The food is outstanding with many choices on the menu, and our server was delightful. The common space are all so clean and well cared for. It seems they thought of everything, every minute detail. The nursing staff it top-notch and compassionate and always concerned with Mom’s dignity. Mom fought me on this move and after just a few days she has new friends, a lot to keep herself busy, and she is HAPPY!

I have lived at Woodlands Creek Senior Living villas for five years, and I could not be happier with my choice. The location is perfect…close to the Greenbelt Trail for pleasant walks, with shopping and restaurants nearby, plus one of Iowa’s leading medical complexes only a couple blocks away. The Woodlands Creek facilities are well-maintained by caring employees who keep residents active and entertained (special thanks to [name removed], the Independent Living Director). Woodlands Creek provides the right balance of amenities and lifestyle for older adults whether independent or seeking more care.

I felt very welcome there, the staff was friendly and knew their patients well. It was cleaned often, and they offered a number of activities for everyone. I loved the style and openness of the facility. It had huge windows with beautiful trees and landscaping, it felt very welcoming. I was happy to have my husband there.

From the time we visited until the time we moved mom in the staff were amazing! She has a beautiful apartment and dining, nursing, maintenance, and business departments handle everything she needs. They come and get her garbage every day, her laundry every week, and they even brought her a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup when she fell asleep and missed dinner one night. I don’t worry anymore!
