Staff is friendly & caring & notifies me of any issues & responds to my concerns promptly. No charge for bringing food to resident's room (some facilities charge $[amount removed] per meal). Small # of residents (16) per bldg with 3 total bldgs (2 assisted living, 1 memory care). No unpredictable levels of care charges - fee only increases if resident moves to memory care. Nutritious food in proper portions. Family & friends events like fiesta celebrations. Lovely grounds & courtyards and raised bed gardening encouraged. Pets allowed to visit so long as healthy & vaccinations up to date. Rooms are the size of a regular bedroom; private bathrooms are available with extra fee. Laundry is done on a patient by basis without mixing residents' laundry together. Spa hair & nail services available. Monthly calendar of events & meals available. No doctors on staff; residents or caretakers choose mobile pcp provider. Note: if your resident wants to get out and about, no transportation and no facility sponsored outings are provided. Overall very comfortable my resident is safe & happy as possible there. Security & cleanliness are a high priority. My only additional comment would be that it's a great place for homebody type residents that prefer small group settings. This might not be the best place for more active (no gym facilities) and adventurous (interested in getting offsite for events, shopping, etc.) residents.

My questions might be: Capabilities of the staff are they trained to perform a service that is particular to that person. My wife has an ileostomy and they had the training to maintain and replace it. Where the medications given on time and correctly administered. In our case they even contacted the Dr. while I was traveling to get one of her meds refilled. Where they able to accommodate special dietary needs. We don’t have any but some may have food allergies or they are Vegan.

What we like the most about the community is that the staff handle the complex medical issues and medicines he has to take with the precision of a medical facility and the same with keeping him and his room clean. Mentally and physically he seems better than anytime in the last 5 years and I believe it's because of this dedication. The Director, med techs and staff know everyone by name and make the effort to help the residents. The move in and getting him acclimated to the environment went as smooth as can be expected. I would recommend Changing Seasons Assisted Living Blanco Road to other families.

The caregivers at The Cottages on Danny Kaye memory care facility were exceptionally attentive, kind and professional in their care of my sister. During her short stay I was there every day and sometimes several times a day and at every visit each and everyone was awesome. My sister passed away while there and it was amazing how they took care of her with so much attention and dignity. They treated our family gently with compassion and sympathy. Five stars to the facility and all of the caregivers.

It has an "at home" warm and comfortable feeling to it, with staff members who are kind, friendly, knowledgeable in their respective roles, and who go above and beyond to attend to the care of their residents here.

The staff is very friendly and attentive to my Dad's needs on the daily. It was close to my family home so very convenient for visitation. It was very clean and inviting and set up more like a home. It did not have a lot of residents so knew my Dad would get the attention he needed.

It is very expensive, but because there are only 14 people in the building, the care is very good. The staff is extremely friendly and very patient. When a patient hits the button, the response time is within seconds. I would recommend this facility.

We toured Honey's House of Helotes when searching for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. We had a great tour, this facility was great! This facility, along with one other in the area, were at the top of our list!

Our tour at Honey's House Helotes was fantastic. Everybody we interacted with was very friendly. They gave us all the information up front. It seemed like more of a nursing home / higher needs care facility, which we didn't need at the time. But the care looked perfect. It looked like a nice place.

The staff members are very friendly and the lady that oversees Honey's House is very responsive and anytime we reach out she responds back in a timely manner. When we send our loved one packages they are very good about opening them and delivering them to our loved one right away. We do feel that we are getting our money's worth. The activities do seem to be a little limited but our loved one does enjoy playing dominoes. Overall from what we have heard the meals are usually really good but sometimes the meat is a little tough for the residents to cut up.

This is a great small community. They have had very low staff turnover, in fact the staff has been the same for the last 7 years. Even the cook would watch out for my loved one. Everyone looked out for each other. The staff communication with the family was wonderful. The community offered home cooked meals for the residents. There was a wide variety of meals served.

I can’t say enough good things about this facility and the amazing care that was given to my father in the latter stages of his life. I would highly recommend this place. Small, local and family owned. Lucy and Danny the owner truly care for what they do in this community.

I loved this little community! This felt more like a family than a business. The manager was very kind and obviously genuinely loved the residents. The staff are able to really get to know each resident. I liked that they are open to alternative methods. For example, the music that was helping an Alzheimer patient. I had vision for how our family could be intimately involved in the community! Grandma would have a room right off the common area, so would always be in the middle of the action.
