I like this community for my mom. The staff is great and very friendly. We are very happy with how clean the community is. My mom is pleased with the food. They offer great activities. I would highly recommend this community to other families.

When I went to see the community it was a nice place. It has a lovely outdoor. The facility seemed neat and tidy. After touring, we found this was not a right fit and they were full at the time.

We toured here as we were looking for options. It was a nice place and I liked it. Ultimately we chose a place where my loved one already knew some people, and was in a convenient location. I did like this when we visited though.

We liked this place very much. Had to rate it a four as this location is a bit far from where we prefer to be. Also green carpet seemed odd. Got a good feeling about the care provided here. Rooms are not all the same. Some bathrooms only have a pedestal sink. Counter space is desired. This is actually our second choice at the moment.

Nice facility with good potential.

A safe and comfortable place with healthy meals and caring staff. I am hoping to see more outdoor and fresh air activities this spring and summer. My Mom has only been here about a month, so I'm observing as we progress along. She seems to be adjusting to the changes but with dementia she has her good and bad days. The staff seems to be in tune to the needs and how best to deal with them.

This community was immediately a No for my loved one and what we were looking for. The tour was good and they gave me all of the information that I needed.

We asked some questions when we arrived but were not offered a seat which I did not appreciate because my mother is 89 years old. None of the rooms come with a private bathroom or furniture. We did not see anyone engaged in activities, residents were just sitting around.

They are a nice place, physically. I feel like they are accepting people that they aren't qualified to handle. It seems like they were just trying to fill a bed. It was a nightmare. The food wasn't good either.

Not the community for my mom. It was a four family building and all the residents were in one unit. Quite crowded!! The person I was a supposed to meet with wasn’t even there for our scheduled time!

The person I am legal guardian for lived at Matthews of Oak Creek for a period of time. We experienced theft of personal items and blatant disregard for personal items. The person’s cloth side chair and bed smelled of fecal matter and urine. These we left behind. The room always had debris on the floor and the bathroom was not regularly cleaned. The promised reimbursement for the stolen and damaged items never materialized. The administrator at the time (LC) lied about not receiving receipts (proof if receipt existed) and continually put off addressing issues. Apparently ‘corporate’ let LC go and the ‘corporate’ office now refuses to address the issues. They consider the matter ‘closed’. Lastly the emotional damaged inflicted has taken many months of therapy and the expertise of the staff at Country View before the slightest improvements were experienced. Advice: approach cautiously, make a journal of all observations, keep a watch out for all items, changes in behavior and help the person who would be living there know they can tell the truth about things they see or how they are treated.

We toured at Matthews, and I found the experience to be very poor. When I arrived for the tour, no one seemed to know anything. The staff were not helpful or informative, and they did not seem knowledgeable to me. I also did not like that the residents did not have their own bathroom, they had to share one.

My family stoped at several Matthews senior living facilities in the Appleton/ Neenah area... found the facilities to be very out dated.. from the dirty carpets to the smell of urin and smell of dead mice in several locations. Found care takers to be very friendly but administration was rude and uninviting. For example one location in Neenah the admin made us wait to meet with her like we had troubled her for her time. Stopped in around lunch to find residents eating very cheap looking and unappetizing lunch. Over all stay clear of these facilities they are over charging for starters! probable availability, ok for dog to visit, private room, this is a converted 4 family apartment complex so it is not overly large, but there is a first floor room available right near everything. Karin was going to call you soon with more info-ok for dog to visit as long as scheduled, they have another dog that is there, and they don't want them to co-incide
