We do know they feed the residents well, they get three meals a day and have two snack times. We also know that they are getting their morning exercises, but due to covid the activities are just not what they used to be. For the most part we like the people there, we have a good rapport with the administration and nurses. Overall we think it is great and we are very appreciated that during this time they are still able to care for the residents.

Very nice facilities and friendly staff that were prepared

My dad has only been there a short time. The food is excellent. They are conveniently located. There is an outdoor area for residents. The staff is friendly and I can let you know that the community is very clean.

This is a beautiful facility - very clean and nice. It's homey and staff is friendly, informative and helpful. This new (it was opened last October) home was built specifically for those with dementia/Alzheimers - it's very safe and the staff there know just how to care for these folks. No price gouging or "points" system here either. We feel at peace knowing dad is in a warm, safe and loving environment.

Important to know that clothing and other personal belongings are lost or stolen. The staff calls you at all hours of the day and night for every little thing. Their billing process is nonexistent. Their staff is constantly changing.

My loved one is currently a resident at ActivCare Orange and the experience has been overall okay. However, we have had issues with hygiene needs being met on a regular basis.

If I could bring my loved one home, I would. ActivCare is very beautiful; however, more money is spent on the marketing than the care for the residents. This is a place for residents with memory care needs. The human care is very far apart here. There are different wings to the community depending on how far the resident is on their memory care journey. ActivCare has stated they offer transportation to doctor appointments; however, we have found this to not be true during the pandemic. There have been challenges with some other residents going into my loved one's room, arguing with my loved one over my loved one's personal items, and stealing of the personal items of my loved one. The staff were giving medications to my loved one wrong. There wasn't dietary options for my loved one based on their dietary restrictions. There has been a turnover of caregivers and dining staff. The community wanted a very detailed report about my loved one prior to my loved one moving into ActivCare. It is a long process to gain entrance into this place. The staff are finally listening after several meetings with the family to get the proper care for our loved one. There is support with hospice, if your loved one would need it. The staff have made great strides over the time the family has been working with them. I would recommend the family keeps advocating for your loved one while a community is caring for them.

ActivCare wasn't the right fit for my loved one. There's not enough staff for the amount of people and they don't even have the place full yet. Their lack of staff made it difficult to get them to care for him, so I wouldn't recommend it.

There seems to be a bit of a disconnect between the staff. When I am getting feedback about how my mother is doing (how she is eating, her medications, etc.) I hear very different things from different staff members. We live very close and we check up on them regularly, and that's a good thing as we need to stay on top to make sure things are going well.

I would tell others looking that the advocate needs to be experienced and able to not be shy about advocating when the situation is not acceptable.

I had to constantly check on him because of not being taken care of like seeing him on shower day and finding him with greasy hair and a dirty shirt on that was not his. They assured me that they would make sure he wouldn't fall but he did a lot and had a really bruised hand that they had to get X-rays. It was constantly a struggle for me and him. I know when he passed they were replacing several key people

There are many good things and good people at this facility but there is a lot of room for improvement. Some staff work hard and engage with the residents, some staff don't. Some residents are left idle for way too long. No comfortable seating for residents for long periods outside of their rooms.

In the long, difficult and painful process of searching for memory care placement for my dear mother, ActivCare Bressi Ranch seemed at first to be just what we were looking for. I felt like I could breathe easier at the prospect of a program where she might be able to thrive as a high functioning resident. Everything was going smoothly and falling into place with the deposit, paperwork, and evaluation. However, the day after her positive evaluation, I received a call from the director that they decided not to accept my mother with no explanation. I rarely give negative reviews, but I wish ActivCare Bressi Ranch had the professionalism and compassion to provide me with clarification and guidance moving forward in seeking care for our mother during this vulnerable and challenging season of our lives.

Does not allow pets to live there. Strongly discourages hanging any art on the walls. Not for M!

They traumatized my husband. They called the police on him when he was sundowning, which is a common dementia-related issue. He was brand new there, and wearing a boot from a bunion surgery. Because of those things, he was very disoriented. They called me wo times at 5:00 in the morning (and his respite stay was less than a month), and they said they were going to call the police on him. Every day when I would talk to him, he was distressed and would repeatedly say "They're going to put me in jail, they're going to put me in jail." The third time, I heard a woman in the background say, word for word: "What is your wife's name? You tell your wife to come and get you and take you home." So two days later, I took a senior advocate with me and got him out of there, before our respite stay was over. I called the COO and said I wanted to my money back, which they did do. They also lost one of the feet off of his wheelchair. They're just irresponsible and should not be in business.
