Our experience with Graceful

[name removed] was phenomenal. The nurses who were here and everyone was so sweet to my sister and were always checking on her, the quality of the care seemed to be great. The only issue we had was getting response in a timely manner once my sister had some health issues. I would tell others that it is not a nursing home, they do have nurses who are great on staff but if your loved one needs a lot of 1 on 1 care, this is not the facility for that. For the most part everything was just great and I would recommend to others who are looking.

Terrible

The caregivers were kind to my mother but the owner is in it for the money. She does not allow people to question her. She punishes her workers by dropping them from the schedule and not paying them. My mother went for four months with zero activities. Sitting and staring at the TV was the only activity. When my mother took a fall the owner would not call for an ambulance. We had to take her to the hospital where she ended up needing stitches. I definitely would NOT recommend!!

In case you are considering using Graceful Manor for your loved one, this is my experience:

The ratio of workers to residents is questionable; there was always only one person working alone overnight. Multiple personal items went missing from my mothers room and were never found. She had multiple bruises and a black eye, and no one could give us an explanation as to why. My mother was there 2.5 months and we never knew if or when she got a bath, as the soap and shampoo I bought her were never opened. The owner, [name removed] , was the worst part of the entire experience. She was argumentative and disrespectful to our family on numerous occasions. She is very unprofessional and refused to give us a copy of the contract we signed upon admission. She displayed zero sympathy for what my family and I were going through, and lacks communication as she will not answer calls or texts. I do not recommend this place to anyone— it may look pretty walking through the door, but the treatment you will receive is very ugly.
