She was on hospice for a few months. The facility is small and has a limited amount of residents. There are private and semi private rooms. They did a good job with keeping the residents clean in regards to diaper changes. The staff was sweet with my mother. They do eat early dinners and start bedtime early which works well there. They staff down at night which means if you show up later you may need to wait to get help in and out of the locked doors (no big deal). The hospice used there was absolutely wonderful throughout the dying process. They were super at giving me updates and letting me know what is going on while I was at work. Called me when they saw changes and sat with me and her until she passed. She was well taken care of and staff is caring and I would suggest this place go others. All places have their problems but any time I saw something that needed attention they addressed it and listened to my concerns. Unlike other Memory Care communities which regularly have in excess of 40 residents in a building, Iris Memory Care has two separate buildings that are built for a maximum of 24 residents each.
