Nice place high price
Over all the place was nice while we were there it was clean the staff was nice but they always seemed to be short staffed when it came to the care staff. The only problem we had was the price. Grandma passed away in December and we are still paying things off.

My mother has been at scriber Gardens for about a year now. The staff are always friendly, kind and attentive. She enjoys the meals in the dining room although she does add her own taste of spices to it. There are plenty of activities to do and the activities coordinator, [name removed], obviously enjoys her job. Scriber Gardens has been very accommodating regarding any requests we've made.

I think they are very genuine and easy-going so that "regular" folks feel comfortable there. Some other places are more suited to "high end" clients, or those who are drawn to the "whistles and bells", but the value for the money over the long run in the Greater Seattle economy is as good as one can find, in my opinion. [Name removed] has been warmly welcomed, despite her anxieties about leaving her private apartment of 25 years. I am thrilled with the situation.

The staff are great. Very friendly. Very committed to care. The facility is old. And looks old. They do work on it and update it but, if facility aesthetic is more important than the human connection this probably won't win.

General good and consistent care of residents. Inconsistent quality of food. Plenty of activities. Ongoing turnover of entry-level staff. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable regular staff. Good location. Reasonable pricing.

She went directly from the hospital, in a wheelchair, on hospice. She really was barely eating and we were told she may only last a couple of months. She is now thriving. She is able to be back to the use of a walker, and has to be reminded, at times, to use it. The residents are what contributed to her recovery. She will be 95 this year. There are probably 20 residents in their 90's, or close there. Staff is very interactive with the residents. They were great about making sure she made it to the dining room and eat. The facility is clean and much brighter inside than her former facility. Front desk staff is good, particularly Katie. This facility does not roll over to Medicare if she runs out of money. That was the only drawback but the overall care and facility is so much better.

The community is a whole seem to be a fantastic community. While my grandmother was there, she made several friends both staff and resident. I never saw any problems with cleanliness of the community or facility. The staff was always very nice and when my grandmother passed away, they were very accommodating and understanding in the time that we need to get everything cleared out would I recommend scriber gardens to other people if they are entering as independent living and don't need assisted living, then sure, in terms of assisted living they were always understaffed and the amount of extra money that had to be paid for the assisted portion doubled the amount that we were paying for the facility.

All the stuff are always Pleasant. And willing to help out with anything we ask. The only minor item would be that communication between them and me/ us isn't very frequent. This may be because my mom is in the independent living status. I love that they decorate for each of the holidays and that they are willing to take packages up to her apartment. Any request we've made has been accommodated immediately. [name removed], [name removed, [name removed] and [name removed] have been our most frequent contacts and are always helpful. Our mom has greatly enjoyed the variety of events, crafts and activities. . The exercise classes have even helped her become more stable when walking and lose some weight.

The team there are great. They are engaged and feel like they are working for the residents. It's an older facility so you don't feel like you're at a resort, but the energy in the staff and residents make to for it.

Most staff are friendly and responsive. Activities are generally interesting. The food experience is inconsistent, with some food shortages lately. Other recent issues: room entry w/o permission; Removing our room keys w/o telling us; food shortages; Does not seem open to suggestions.

The staff are all super friendly, the outdoor space is perfect, and there were tons of activities. In our experience, there was a lot of disagreement between hospice and the nursing staff, but everyone just wanted the best for my FIL.

My mom is so happy with the staff. She has said nothing negative about anyone there. Everyone that works there seems very comfortable with the residents and attentive. She is also so much happier with the other residents that live there. She now has about 10 different people she talks with, and does outings with, on a regular basis. She is on hospice but has improved so much they may graduate her out of hospice. She moved in with a wheelchair and is now, back to a walker.

If you're going into the facility for assisted-living be very careful because the sliding stale for just an assisted living can and will very easily double the cost of what you're expecting. I signed my grandmother up at a rent of [price removed] per monthly charge is over [price removed] and that is why I answered with the money at such a low level.

I'd say that they are a great facility that works hard at providing a healthy, safe environment and quality care for those who need it. I was amazed by the range of resident needs that they meet on a consistent basis. We picked them because they came highly recommended from some friends and after we met and spoke to [name removed]- we'd gladly recommend them to others.

The move in process was good. The food is good. Staff is very friendly. They clean the residents' rooms weekly. Communication with the family is great. I gave a low score on cleanliness because the hallway carpet smells like dog feces and urine. Overall, I would recommend this facility to anybody.

GenCare was awesome. We placed our 91-year-old father-in-law there. He really enjoyed being there. He quickly made friends. The food was good. We had several meals there with him. They have a lot of activities, and when my father-in-law passed away, they were just wonderful helping us get through that.

My loved one is a resident at Scriber Gardens and things have been great for her at this facility. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. The housekeeping is good, but they should mop the floors in the apartments. I have eaten 3 meals at the facility. Two of them were excellent, one time the chicken was undercooked. I would highly recommend this facility to family and friends.

Be cautious of what they tell you when you're moving in. They told me they would evaluate me to make sure I could be at the rate I was paying. They never did that. I was in much worse shape when I first got there and thought I would be getting more care. Nobody really came in to talk to me about my health situation or what I needed, or to even check on me. I also asked them three times for the paperwork that I signed, and they never got me a copy. Basically they had me categorized as Independent Living, but it was supposed to be Assisted Living. So what management told me when I moved in is completely different than what I got out of the place. Beyond management, the rest of the staff are great. They're all very friendly - no problems there. The facility was generally clean, except the dining room tables weren't always wiped down well. The people who cleaned my room were really good. They seemed to have activities going on throughout the day if you wanted to go. But ultimately I felt like I was throwing away thousands every month. Most of the time I couldn't eat the food it was so bad. And you can't live solely on cheese burgers. 90% of the time the food was cold. And the quality really depended on which chef was cooking each meal.

This facility is more up to date and senior friendly than others around. With a kind care staff and passionate team of Directors it's no wonder the residents here are comfortable and happy!
