Not perfect -- and for a good reason
Not a perfect experience because no facility can, in my view, be perfect. And the reason for that is that as a resident in any facilty you give up any number of rights and options that you had before you came to the facilty. Coupled with that is the realization, not easily admitted to on some days, that you are getting older. Someone can be blamed for that in a way that confounds all logic, but in my case I know it is true that I "blame" the facility.

Although sadly, my elderly relative did not qualify for Drum Hill's independent living criteria, I was encouraged by the kindness and expertise of [name removed], the Director of Marketing.. She spent time discussing options with me and shared valuable insight, recommendations and suggestions. A PLACE FOR SENIORS
Drum Hill is a sanctuary, especially for those of need. The staff anticipates your situation from experience and they follow up with whatever you request, usually within a very reasonable time. From the dining, to the housing spaces, everything is at a quality you will enjoy in comfort and safety. And did I mention, affordability? Drum Hill is a place where you need not worry, they believe that they have room enough for everyone regardless of background, you will be welcome there.

Great Community with Lots of Activities
We had a little rough spot in the beginning. There seemed to be misinformation that was given or misunderstandings that happened. But once things settled down and Mom got settled in, everything has been going good. Our only small complaint is the HVAC units in the rooms are so loud! But they do work, which we're grateful for. Most of the staff are very friendly, welcoming, positive, and upbeat. They're willing to help answer questions. The day we moved in, we were texting the maintenance man, who had given me his cell phone number, about logistical things related to move-in. It was the weekend, and it turned out he wasn't even working that day, yet he answered my texts anyway on his day off, which was great. He's been great about handling things in the apartment if I haven't been able to get there. He's just a great person and goes above and beyond for sure. I was pleasantly surprised how many activities and trips they have. They'll go on day trips, or more routine trips to the grocery store or Kohl's or Walmart. And they have a shuttle bus available to take the residents to doctor appointments as well.

A Hidden Gem
The apartments at Drum Hill are bright and sunny. The administration is very welcoming. The food is delicious. They have a lovely view of the Hudson River. My sister is really looking forward to the activities when the isolation period is over and thing return to normal, like shopping trips, field trips and socializing with other residents.

Was very impressed with the facility. There seemed to be a very wide variety of activities and social events. The room I saw was recently renovated and was very spacious. While there is a stove in the room, the menu I saw for the day had a great selection. Seemed to be a great value for the price.

Sits over the Hudson River with a great view
This facility has been better than I expected. The staff could not have been more helpful in guiding my Father through the move in process and helping him settle in. It is a really nice facility and it has a great community feel to it. I couldn’t be any more pleased with the facility. I’ve eaten the food here and I understand that it’s for senior citizens, but I found it to be easy to chew and bland. Other than that, the facility is warm and inviting and it’s actually a historical site with a ton of history behind it. I really like that they’ve incorporated all of that history into the building. It is on the Hudson River and it is a very picturesque view. I would recommend this community to other families.

Great Choice!!
My loved one is very happy with her choice to move into the Drum Hill Senior Living. The complex is clean and very well maintained. The meals provided are very good, I tried them myself before she moved in. The complex has a variety of activities for the residents to interact and make friends with each other such as movie nights, games, and walks. We are very happy with our choice.

What is really going on?
I did try and go on a tour here , but the intake lady said that it would not be possible. They said that you have to apply then wait to be approved before you can even go on a tour. When I asked to at least bring my loved one in to see the community I was told absolutely not. The women was very rude and abrasive and just not willing to help at all.

Very Happy With My Mom's Move Here
It has been a very good experience for my mother here at this community. She is doing well here, and I know she is in good hands. The is a lovely community, everybody has been very kind and helpful. The staff is great, they are very caring. They have nice activities and good food. Everything has worked out very well for us here. This is a great place, and we are happy.

What do you want to eat?
The staff here is wonderful. i have no complaints with this community at all. They provide good meals and my loved one said that they have not eaten the same meal twice. The community offers activities and they love them. They keep the community clean at all times.

It Is A Good Community
The community takes good care of my mom. I have an aide helping her and we try to get her involved with activities. She likes the meals they make, she hasn't complained about the food. I also have ate with her and i thought It was good. The community is kept fresh and clean. My mom's room also gets cleaned.

A Bit of Heaven on Earth
If there is a heaven --- Drum Hill certainly starts the believing process.
Not only is the residence a stunning, lovely, welcoming and charming "home" for my Aunt, it is a safe retreat for her where I know she will be happier than she has been in years.
And, making Drum Hill even more special are the people who provide the support and care for their residents. Everyone is professional, knowledgeable and filled with compassion for each and every resident they see on a daily basis.
I am so grateful for everything Drum Hill has to offer my Aunt --- everyone should be so blessed to reside at Drum Hill Senior Living Peekskill, NY.

Definitely worth a visit if you are looking.
My mom has been there for several years and we've found the staff and residents to always be very friendly and helpful. There are many activities and outside trips and they try to include as many residents as possible regardless of their capabilities. We are very satisfied.

Very nice place!
I think they do a great job overall at Drum Hill Senior Living! The staff here is wonderful, they're friendly and they were a big help to us through the whole process. The facility itself is beautiful, and the apartments are very nice. Really my only complaint is that for what we are paying they really could do a better job with the food.
