It’s a great place to spend time if you’re looking to slow down and enjoy the benefits of around-the-clock care.</p>
<p>Our home is located on four acres of land and is just a quick jaunt from churches, public transportation, shopping, and other amenities that residents enjoy. We are surrounded by large pine and spruce trees that provide shade and cooling comfort during the heat of the summer, and vibrant colors during autumn and early winter.</p>
<p>We have been open since 1998, providing quality care to seniors for over twenty years and would love to have you join our compassionate community of care.</p>
<h3>Community Amenities and Services</h3>
<p>Here at Applewood Assisted Living, we provide a variety of care services to create the best plan for your needs. We have both respite and long-term care plans available. We know that creating a care plan can be a stressful process, which is why you can trust us with years of expertise and service to help you find the best fit for you.</p>
<p>Providing excellent care to help you with your daily tasks is extremely important to both you and us. We offer 24-hour supervision, personal grooming, bathing, and dressing assistance, and are happy to provide beautification services if asked!</p>
<p>We have in-home doctors who are eager to help you and keep you healthy, as well as in-home nursing services, physical therapy, occupational therapy, diagnostic tests, and a podiatrist. We offer medication supervision and other non-medical care.</p>
<p>Providing three nutritious and delicious meals each day along with snacks is one of the joys of our community. We take care of all the meal preparation and are ready to accommodate a variety of dietary needs. All you have to do is eat and enjoy!</p>
<p>Applewood Assisted Living also knows that one of the most important parts of assisted living is creating a community. Here, we celebrate all birthdays and major holidays, and we provide weekly activities to keep residents connected. We host a weekly non-denominational Bible study and have a rosary prayer group. We also schedule outings for residents to keep them connected to the greater Mount Pleasant community.</p>
<h3>Living Arrangements</h3>
<p>Our beautiful mid-century ranch property is spacious and well-equipped for both private and communal living experiences. We offer private and shared bedrooms that come furnished with cozy, mid-century furniture and decor. Don’t worry about laundry, linens, and towels — we’ve got it covered!</p>
<p>We also have a large dining room and a spacious outdoor deck that you can enjoy for multiple seasons. Our property often has wildlife sightings — spend enough evenings there and you may spot wild turkeys, deer, or even racoon friends! Our outdoor space also has many plant and flower varieties to create a picturesque garden that residents can see from their bedrooms.</p>

<h3>Care Types Offered</h3>
<p>Applewood Assisted Living is an <em>adult foster care facility</em>, which in the state of Michigan is a facility that provides foster care for adults who are aged, mentally ill, developmentally disabled, or physically disabled who require supervision on an ongoing basis but who do not require continuous nursing care. Foster care means the provision of supervision, personal care, and protection in addition to room and board, for 24 hours a day, 5 or more days a week, and for 2 or more consecutive weeks.</p>
